The facial was really wonderful and relaxing - no intense scents, super calming with some massage in there that was awesome. We then had individual massages by Tracy. Unfortunately that was not the greatest, WAY too gentle, WAY too much oil, and hardly felt relieved nor relaxed after - I kept thinking "when is this massage going to start" even after for more pressure. My partner had the same experience as well. I would totally be open to going back if there were other massage therapists though I will say, given the amount of $$ I was really hoping for a better experience.

I've had therapeutic massage on 3 continents over a 20+ year career, and I can comfortably confirm Sarah has a deep understanding of anatomy and a very subtle and effective technique. Sarah has a very good way of mixing business with the unavoidable intimacy of massage therapy. I felt comfortable immediately from the first session, and I find the attention and focus of the massage to be consistent from session to session. Sarah is the real deal if you have trouble processing stress and anxiety, and physical absorption of these toxins needs releasing!!!

I work out a lot and my job is very physical so receiving a medical sports massage from Risa has benefited me. Schedule an appointment with the LMT, Maren DeGroat. This will be the massage that you will never forget. The scheduling was painless and easy. Rates are the best in the area. As far as the massage itself? Maren located knots in my back in about four seconds after putting her hands on my back. No. Less. I was like wait, what are you doing? Incredible.. She is a highly skilled technician who works on your body as if she was part of the original design team. She knows where and how much pressure to use, how to intricately delineate the bunched up fibers which are totally stressing you out! I felt as though I was an Olympic athlete and was being treated to the highest level of sports massage therapy available. It is unlike any massage I have had previously. NOTE OF WARNING: Maren is most likely the strongest woman you will ever come in contact with. I wouldn't be surprised if she could crush a billiards ball in the palm of her hand. Although I saw no evidence of a cape, mask or outfit in the place, the possibility still exists that she might actually be a superhero.. When I got home my wife asked my how was it, I responded, "She kicked my ass." I am still shaking my head wondering what just happened. Amazing. Maren, if you are reading this THANK YOU! Yes, I can still feel your hands deep in my back. BTW, if you get regular massages and think you are a tough guy and can handle strong massage work... yeah.. no. There is the slight possibility you leave her place crying for your Mommy. Just sayin'. Nine stars. *Her location is now 488 Freedom Plains Road in Poughkeepsie, NY

We joke around that I pay her to hurt me weekly, but her deep tissue massage is what keeps me going week to week, month to month. I had massage therapy before after the accident with another practice for over a month and received little to no relief of my pain. One visit with Maren and I could cut back on pain medication. After three visits, I was able to cut back to OTC as needed. She is able to keep my migraines at bay, even going as far as to stop them in their tracks, if I happen to get one when I have an appointment with her. I also feel a definitive difference (migraines and horrendous neck pain/upper back pain) when I am not able to see her i.e. vacations or busy work schedule. As a result, I make sure not to miss a single appointment. Oh, and don't let me get started on her Facial Stretching! To date, she now treats four of my family members, including me. I would recommend this LMT to anyone, not just those with residual pain from injuries. Honestly the best!

Also, she didn't hesitate to apply the type of pressure necessary to really work the areas out. I had immediate improvement following the session and she has definitely made me a believer.
