You do have an option to extend that 7 days each time, side note. My assumption is this gives them the opportunity to invest people's money into something, before anything is due. Secondly, we are no longer saving any "real" money. In recent time, the amount of solar we are allocated has shrunk significantly, and, you only save 10% on the solar portion of your bill. Our recent bill total was $274 (from RI Energy) and we saved just over $6. It came to about a 2.2% total savings. Obviously, they have to make money to be in business. So, I guess it's really about your desire to use solar, and how/why.

Guy came (really nice), but the hot water didn't work after he left and customer service (a joke that I have to say this in my review-because this was far from customer service) said that I need to hire someone outside to look at what is going on. Absolute BS....their tech didn't properly finish the job and PGW will not stand behind their work or their techs and they get away with it because they are the only game in town. Philadelphia needs to do better and get rid of PGW as their only choice or demand better customer service for their residents.

We've been leasing a 500 gallon propane tank for years. Along with the lease came the Higher…read morepropane costs. Long story short...we finally were able to Purchase the tank from our propane company. Sharp energy was referred to me by a couple of friends. So I gave them a call. I had the pleasure of meeting Richard S. who came out to assess the tank and send us a quote. During his assessment he discovered the tank did not meet industry standards. Fortunately I did not purchase the tank at that point and was able to get the problem solved before I "Bought it" as part of the purchase. Our propane company came out quickly to resolve the issue. A recheck by Sharp found it was still not correct, again our company came out to address it again and again it failed. Richard sent a Sharp tech out who identified a bad grounding site, cleaned it up, retested and this time passed in flying colors! If Sharp is willing to do this before I'm a customer? I can't wait to be one!!! The cost savings is almost staggering between what we were paying vs Sharps pricing. I've got nothing bad to say about our current propane company, they've always been responsive and friendly, but it's nice to know Sharp Energy is too at a lot less money!

Decided to contact additional companies who could work with older boiler systems and in addition to a much lower estimate, Mirko of PCK was able to schedule his service and it was done in good time. The upstairs heating is so much better now! At a significantly lower cost. I know this boiler will need to eventually have to be replaced, and I will count on Mirko for the work.
