a review from @amom2kidsandapark The perfect bonus park to a walk around the Dublin Hills at Donlon Staging Area or so much fun all on its own. There are two playgrounds separated by a large concrete area perfect for chalking. The larger play area has three main platforms connected by either stepping bars (kinda like a bridge ladder combo), a traditional bridge, or suspended lily pads. Collectively there are four slides (two straight slides, a double, and a sidewinder), steps, ladders, monkey bars, activities, sliding pole, and monkey rings. This play area also has a balance beam and a two-person teeter-totter. The smaller play area has two sides (double and sidewinder), steps, ladders, a crawling tunnel, activities, monkey bars, and stepping pads. Near the structure is a swing set with standard and bucket swings. Next to the play areas is a covered group picnic area and a bathroom. There is a huge grassy area below the play area with a sidewalk around perfect for biking or scootering. The park also has a basketball court tennis court, and two well maintained horseshoe pits. Easy and abundant street parking. Very little shade.

Perfect spot for play dates, birthday parties or just to exist. That's what our daughter loves to…read moredo every time she visits. Since there are SO MANY play areas and structures to explore and enjoy, I have never heard her say she is bored. Our daughter can exist here for hours with snacks and water at hand. Kids are ALWAYS here so it is easy to find a playmate, if needed, for the day. There are restrooms directly behind the big play area with multiple stalls. It is well maintained and usually stocked. There are lots of benches, both with and without backs, surrounding the various play areas. There are numerous hammocks surrounding the park (closest to the swing area).. Be careful not to get too relaxed and misplace your lil one(s). It gets pretty hot out here and with the absence of shaded benches, bring a blanket to sit beneath a tree or an awning and chairs if you're fancy. Parking is directly outside the park. With ample parking it is difficult to not find a spot. During summer months it gets a little harder do arrive early. A grass area separates play from parking. There are plenty of bike racks as well. If you do not feel like driving the Dublin/Pleasanton BART station is a 12 minute walk away. If we ever explored this option I would have to bring a wagon. After play I doubt our little one would want to trek the journey. There are very few food options nearby so definitely come with snacks and drinks. There are working water fountains throughout the park (not refill stations). Come, enjoy! You can make a day of play here without spending a dime.

There are large grassy areas for water gun fights and ample trash, recycling, compost bins. Parking lot and restrooms are also nearby.

The atmosphere was so amazing. There was excitement coming from the park and waterpark. There were tons of local vendors. I truly enjoyed all the sampling at the farmers market. There's tons of green space with courts available - like basketball and tennis. Corn hole was being played as well. It was so much fun!

This also coincides with their farmer's market. I came here last Thursday to catch "Pop Fiction", a cover band. I arrived at 5:40 PM, 20 minutes before the concert, so I walked around to check out the farmer's market. There are food trucks, fruits, veggies, seafood, pastries, and lots more. The concert is at the Amphitheater, which has a couple tiers of lawn area. Early birds take up the back section and set up their tents and tables. We had a few folder chairs, and brought our own food for a little picnic. "Pop Fiction" was high energy and did a good job with songs from the '70's to today. They were a little pitchy at times, but everyone was just having a good time. As the evening progressed, more people came up front to dance or sway. There's no shade on the lawn, so definitely bring sunscreen and hats. The park itself is huge, but I didn't have time to check it all out. We enjoyed the concert and picnic. We'll probably be back for another one before the summer is done.
