This little park is located in a nice residential area, literally where Dublin Blvd ends! There is no parking lot but plenty of curbside parking. Upon pulling up, you'll immediately see two playgrounds (ages 2-5 and 5-12) separated by a large, central bathroom building. The layout of the park is very compact and it has many nice features that I like: 1. Large, paved biking/walking path that runs around the park. 2. Basketball and Tennis courts. 3. Large open field. 4. Covered area for picnics/BBQ and plenty of benches around. 5. Clean area with plenty of trash and recycle bins. 6. Chessboard tables! Just need an opponent and pieces! read more

It was my first time to visit Schaefer Ranch Park. We were invited by a family friend to attaned theie daughter's 1st birthday party. It was a nice sunny, yet very windy, day. It was perfect for kite flying! We had a great time! We were at the gazebo. There was tons of food, barbecue, and a variety of activities to choose from. The park had 2 playgrounds. Lots of room for kids and adults, alike. There was a huge field for a variety of activities: running, kite flying, frisbee, etc. It also had a basketball and tennis court. There are two playgrounds separated by a large concrete area perfect for chalking. The larger play area has three main platforms connected by either stepping bars (kinda like a bridge ladder combo), a traditional bridge, or suspended lily pads. Collectively there are four slides (two straight slides, a double, and a sidewinder), steps, ladders, monkey bars, activities, sliding pole, and monkey rings. This play area also has a balance beam and a two-person teeter-totter. The smaller play area has two sides (double and sidewinder), steps, ladders, a crawling tunnel, activities, monkey bars, and stepping pads. Near the structure is a swing set with standard and bucket swings. Next to the play areas is a covered group picnic area and a bathroom. There is a huge grassy area below the play area with a sidewalk around perfect for biking or scootering. The park also has a basketball court tennis court, and two well maintained horseshoe pits. This is a very nice park with open grassy areas, clean playground, paved sidewalks for scooters and little kid bikes, and a nice picnic area perfect for parties. Parking is a little limited (street) especially if crowded, but we've never had to walk too far. read more

Great park! I come up often with my little one. It is windy no matter the time Of the day or time of the year it's just how it is in this area(lived in the area for 10 yrs). I do want to point out that there's a man that seems to come and work out right in the middle of the kids play structure. He doesn't care or seem to be bothered that there's kids playing and running around and that HE is actually in their way/space. I have to say I find it a bit uncomfortable. But on a side note I haven't seen him the last time I was there. Super clean and neat! Very inviting park. read more

Of course this is a brand-new part and it looks brand-new! There is a new restroom facility as well as a small playground for children. There's quite a big green lawn area for kids to run around or perhaps play with frisbees or a maybe even a kite. read more

Nice opened park with great rolling hills in the distance. We come to this park every time we visit our friends who live in the new constructed community. Great play structure, picnic area, clean & well maintained bathrooms, tennis courts, basketball courts, a nice open field, and a paved running loop around the perimeter. I like the paved running trail, and if you're looking to get a mile or 2 of running it takes approximately 3 laps to run 1 mile. Enjoy! read more

This park is located in a really nice, newly developed community. There is an extra large grassy area (dead right now because of the drought), two playgrounds for different age groups, basketball court and a tennis court. There are really nice picnic areas with large shade structure and clean bathrooms. The park is well taken care of and the neighborhood seems pretty safe :) The park is surrounded by a large sidewalk that isn't on street level so it's safe for kids to ride bikes, etc. Also, it's normally quite windy up here, which makes this park great for kite flying! read more

I love taking my kids to this park. It's got lots of space to ride scooters and isn't crowded since the surrounding area isn't very developed yet. There's also a good place for picnics and fun playground to climb on. As more houses continue to get built around it I'm sure it will become much more popular and crowded but in the mean time, check it out. It's great. read more

This is such a cute, clean park for kids. It has two different playgrounds for different ages of kids. It's nice that there are bathrooms and benches, too! My son loved he walking path. There is also a beautiful view of mountains! Love this park! read more

We reserved the covered picnic area for our baby's first birthday party in early May of 2015. Guests commented how new and clean the park was - not even an ant! Only downside at that time of year was that the shaded area became a chilly wind tunnel. Took lots of tape to secure table cloths and centerpieces kept toppling over. It was almost too cold to eat in the shade too, and most guests preferred the benches out in the sun. The wind, however, made for great kite-flying conditions! Overall, it was a great location - quiet, serene views, private, and entertaining for all aged kids (toddler & older kid playgrounds, wide field for sports / games). We'd book this place again for a future gathering. read more

I love taking my kids up here, it tends to be a little cooler on "Hot" days. Big running space, perfect site for kites, basketball, tennis courts... However, When it is on the colder side, be prepared to put on your wind jacket, as there is a wind tunnel, from the Castro Valley side... It has room for maybe a community pool one day... HINT* HINT* HINT* I like it, it feels like it's still a hidden Gem. The views are so calming for this mama of three. read more

Nice park with a covered picnic area and large grass area. There are two play structures for your toddler to enjoy as well as swings. The structures aren't nearly as big as some of the other ones in the area, but toddlers will still have a great time climbing up and sliding down. Parking is along the street. There isn't any shade around the play structure so remember the sunscreen and hats. Have fun! read more
