If you're every in Philly, I highly suggest you stop by @scentandsip and get your creative juices flowing....as well as your favorite wine (BYOB) They not only offer candle making but also, body scrubs, air diffusers, body wash, incense and more !! - great for a date night, fiends day, or family day

I had such an amazing time here and I'm sad I didn't get many photos but perhaps that's a testament to the great time I had? I was much too engrossed in the scent making to be snapping pictures. Jen was such an amazing resource, was super nice and beyond helpful. After giving us the overview of how things work, we went off to sniff everything on the wall and make a list of what we loved. Once we say back down and looked at our list, Jen was kind enough to offer some complimentary scents that were in the same profile of the smells to which we seemed to gravitate (earthy and green for us). We ended up taking advantage of the buy 3 get one free option and walked away with a copious amount of oil to use in our home diffusers. We got 3 oils for an electric diffuser and one oil for a reed diffuser that goes in my bathroom. We tried them out the moment we got home and the fragrance was better than anything we purchased from a retailer. We had so much fun snacking on our homemade charcuterie board while chatting and curating our own fragrances. They do have cups for purchase if you don't want to (or forget to) bring your own. We honestly can't wait to return.

What a fantastic fun discovery! I had purchased a Groupon for 2 people. It expires tomorrow so off I went on my own to make 2 candles. I was slightly nervous to go alone but fears were quickly put to rest by Ashley and Jen! The place is so welcoming. The layout is open and encourages sharing of ideas and creations! I took a seat at the scent bar and the process was reviewed. You are give a cute clipboard and a form scribble down all your finds. First I walked around and picked 3-5 scents I liked. There are over 100 to choose from. If you can't find several that you like you have issues! Next it was onto squeeze and sniff. You hold 2-3 bottles of scents together and lightly squeeze to see how they blend. It's amazing how different things smell when you mix them in equal or differing parts. I tried some combinations that clearly didn't work. Ashley enjoyed laughing at them with me. I really no longer felt like I had come alone. I decided I wanted to do a sweet and a savory candle. I was obsessed with the fact that there was a ramen noodle scent. It took me back to my childhood when Ramen was a staple. I tried to think about what would mix well. It turns out masculine scents with a hint of Ramen mix fantastically. Once the components were there I got to customize a full shot of scented oil. Ashley poured hot wax out of magic hot wax machine into little 7 0z containers. I mixed the scented oil and wax for a few minutes and now they are firming up. While this is happening I got to design a name for my creation and create s custom label. I have no artistic ability but Jen did! She helped me design this label for my custom creation, Limp Noodle. I mean what else do you call a male ramen noodle candle. My second candle was way more traditional. Brown sugar, whipped cream and almond. I named that one Sweet AF. I am sitting here writing my review sipping a cup of delicious green tea that was offered by the owner. In addition of being generally awesome, the shop is filled with do gooders. They have a space called the Karma corner. It's filled with candles people made but never picked up from the setting process. If you drop some cash in the donation box you can take one or two. How cool is that! Funds go to s local charity. We also chatted about possibly doing an event for a cat rescue I'm involved with! I have no clue how these candles will burn but I have to think well. This was a very fun experience on a day that was dreary outside. I highly recommend coming for s girls night out or even on your own if you have some time to kill. Thanks for a fantastic experience ladies!

We were looking forward to check this business out. Twice we attempted and each time they were closed, we looked the hours up for yesterday (Saturday) says they opened at 11. We arrived and the business was closed, there is nothing more disappointing than a business not adhering to their opening schedule. My suggesting would be to keep your web page up to date. We will not make a third attempt

I went here for the first time based off a friend's recommendation who had gone several times during the more stricter covid regulations. We bought a Groupon for the candle making and I had a nice time. I was a little unsure what we were and we're not allowed to do as my friend told us when she had gone prior (when there were stricter regulations), she couldn't eat or drink and they had you make the candle and leave. I felt a little rushed because of this and because they said we would have to come back to pick up our candles later but we stayed about an hour and just got to talk and hang out while our candles cooled and other people were eating and drinking. There was another party that was taking their time as well and were still mixing scents by the time we left. If the website updated more frequently with current covid regulations I think I could have had a better time because I would have come prepared with food and drink but I did get to spend some time with my friend while we waited however that was not intended. I ended up with a great smelling candle I can't wait to burn! Our host had us and another party which meant we didn't get as much guidance but she was on top of her game and helped us when needed. I would have preferred a bit more direction since it was my first time and she relied on the fact that my friend had done it to teach me because he other party was bigger. I'll still probably go back with the Groupon!

This experience is like painting with a twist, but with making candles (or anything scented) instead of painting. Personally I prefer Scent and Sip, because you can take home a nice sized candle between $16-36 that you can enjoy at home (as opposed to taking home another canvas and trying to find a free wall to hang it on). First of all, the entire experience is super fun, relaxing and easy!!! (You're not worried about drawing straight lines and you can enjoy your friends and your byob) PLACE & AMBIENCE‐ there currently is only one location, located in Landsdale (with future plans for growth). 7 of us came in on a Saturday, early evening in September fo celebrate a friend's birthday- we did public seating, not private. The storefront is located in the middle of Main street, and when you walk into the open space, you'll be greeted with tasteful seasonal decor and the delightful fragrances throughout the store. (The smell is not as overpowering as one might experience at bath and body works). The employees had already set up our seats. Very spacious, not cramped- employees looked eager to help and were very kind and knowledgeable. Bonus+ they have a fantastic bathroom with all the soaps, cream and moisturizers you need AND a changing table and diapers and feminine products available for your use! PEOPLE- the staff, all of them, were all so personable and knowledgable. The act of choosing the right scents and even naming your new product could be overwhelming but the staff was able to kindly guide us along. For example, I decided to make a candle with 2 scents and the staff was so helpful to offer a 3rd complimentary scent which was perfect! They also helped us to take group photos! VALUE FOR MONEY- definitely would recommend this. Support small businesses!!

We had an awesome experience at Scent & Sip!! It is so fun to go through all of the different scent choices to create your own. A great activity to do with friends or family!

Had the absolute pleasure of being able to attend a Gift Of Life event here on Wednesday! From the moment you walk in to Scent & Sip it is very inviting! I'm sure this goes without saying, but the aroma here is amazing. We made reservations for 5:30 and were seated right away and given the run down on all the options we could do that evening. The options are really endless. You're able to choose from a variety of things. Scents for your home, eg: long lasting candles, diffusers, mists, and fragrance oils. I believe the candle I made was around $18. Scents for your body, eg: perfumes, aloe gel, body glitter, lotions, bath salts, scrubs, etc. They even have pet shampoo you can make!!! A great perk is Buy 3 get 1 Free! We ended up getting a free candle out of which was great. - - The gentleman that helped us throughout the night was great. You are told to first smell some scents along the wall (120 to be exact) and write down the ones you like. The best part is you can collaborate different scents together to come up with something great! I went with Agave and Champagne and it smelled awesome! The 'chemist' part is super easy. You just have to find a balance of the right smell. Again, you're being helped the whole time which was comforting. 15% of the proceeds went towards Gift Of Life which is something very close to my heart and much appreciated. Scent & Sip did a wonderful job at accommodating everyone and also letting them know about the fundraiser! I will definitely be back! Another perk is it's BYO!

The roll on perfume and room mist

My first time doing anything in a scent lab, and it was so much fun. They explain things well but don't hover while you pick out your scents, happily answer questions and make it really fun to create your items. So many options with things to create really anyone can enjoy. I went with one friend, and you could enjoy this with a bunch of people or just as a couple. They opened my wine for me and brought cups before I could even ask. The prices are reasonable plus the 4th item free makes it nice to split with a friend. I was surprised but happy to see how many people were there. It definitely wasn't too crowded to enjoy with your group but also nice to talk to the others in there and ask silly questions like "what's the weirdest scent combination someone's ever made?" Can't wait to go back!

I love candles. Add to that being able to partake in sipping on a beverage of my choosing. Umm, why haven't I discovered this place sooner?! Oh I know...it's far as hell from Philly, lol. But completely worth the drive. A visit includes making a scented candle of your choosing and, if you bring a bottle of wine or a six-pack of beer, you can enjoy it while you work. There's a huge wall filled with what seemed like nearly a hundred different scented candles, from lilac to mug and brush (no clue what that is but it smells really good) to ginger ale to literally whatever else you can imagine. The process is really simple. Pick a bunch of scented oils and test and see which complement each other. Mix together and the friendly staff does the rest. In about 45 minutes later you have your very own custom scented candle (and maybe even a slight buzz)! Can't wait to go back!

bought a groupon on a whim, and realized it was about to expire, so rushed here with a coworker today (a wednesday) straight from work. i was worried about the street parking, but found a spot quickly... and the metered parking is only til 6pm, so that was a pleasant surprise. we had a phenomenal time choosing scents and making our custom blends... the staff were friendly and patient (if you know me, i'm indecisive AF). we sniffed, mixed, poured, and stirred... and that's where the whole experience went downhill. we were told it would take about an hour for our candles to set, and we could stay to wait, or they recommended grabbing sushi at izu or beers at round guys brewery across the street. they said they closed at 8, so we could pick up our candles before then. great, right? LOL nope. i walked over at 7:55 to find the store locked, lights out, and no staff in sight. trust me, i was the nutcase peeking in the windows and knocking on the door. i called on the phone a few minutes later and got no answer either. i mean, they knew we were staying local and coming back - the least they could've done is stayed open until their actual closing time... or told us to come back earlier if they were planning to leave. i am SO bummed. what a crappy way to end an otherwise good day. now i'll have to drive almost an hour to come back another day to pick up my candle :( good feelings gone. update: someone from the business reached out to me and offered a fair solution (shipping for free). while the situation was crappy at the time, i appreciate the effort to rectify it.

What was great; 1.) the grounds are beautifully landscaped with huge trees and flowering bushes, 2.) there are numerous porches, patios, and benches all around for impromptu gatherings, 3.) the luncheon menu had very good choices and the prices were not too expensive, 4.) the waitresses were kind and hard working, 5.) the decor is Williamsburg, colonial, and charming What was not great; 1.) the website says full country breakfast, but that is not true- things have changed-but the website did not get updated. There is only breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays in the hotel restaurant, not during the week. 2.) the website mentions various room types- queen, 2 queens, king, 2 queen deluxe, etc etc. I booked a 2 queen deluxe room, directly through the hotel, but somehow I ended up with just one queen bed. The lady in the registration office was very nice, but there were no 2-queen rooms available. And also, the queen bed in our room was saggy. 3.) there is no refrigerator or microwave or coffee machine in the room, also the restaurant was not open, and so we had trouble finding coffee in the morning. We went to the registration office, and that is when we found out there is no free "full country breakfast" as advertised. Instead, they had "grab and go" snacks, and the restaurant does not open until lunch. Also the coffee machine in the office was out of order. We had to search for a breakfast place nearby and since we are not familiar with the area, this took a while. Even though there were some problems with the bed and getting breakfast, overall this IS a place you should go to because it is truly a park-like setting, and the decor is charming. I would recommend that you bring a small coffee maker and a cooler for your room.

I had a little bit of everything, steak, chicken, salmon, ravioli and ziti. Worst first, the steak was tough but tasty, ravioli was not good , very dry, chicken was pretty good and the salmon was excellent. Deserts weren't quite up to expectations either. Small bites were just ok , cannoli's were also just ok and the cheesecake was very good. Service was great but overall I feel it wasn't as good as past dinner parties. It is still very good and I can't wait to go back to the pub and hopefully the dinner service is as good as in the past.
