First time here with my girls and we love it! Great experience from selecting the scents to mixing and making candles. It was so easy and fun! PS. We brought our own snacks and they have utensils provided. Everyone here is so friendly and accommodating. If you looking for something fun to do with your friends or loved ones, this is the place!

4 out of 5 for a couple of reasons; 1. Attention to detail; I believe it would've been exceptional if the oils were filled and an exact measurement was available. 2. Friendly staff; however, could have had a better number of staff on hand to assist the amount of customers and appointments scheduled. 3. A great experience, with an amazing therapeutic takeaways. Completely customisable, great for dates or group occasions. Definitely would do it again, and highly recommend.

What A Fun Outing! Our girls group came to celebrate a few of our birthdays! The space was inviting (but a lil tight)-good news they have secured a new space on Old City so that should help with the comfortability level! BYOB your drinks and snacks...our group took full advantage of this option! Now down to the business of making candles: The scents offered are varied and allows some variety to mix if you choose! After the candle scents are picked and mixed..there is a 20 minute wait for the candles to set! After that it is 24 hours before you can burn them! I recommend this is a fun activity w/friends or something different for date night!

I love this as an activity with friends! I have had great experiences with both of the times I was here - it's a BYOB candle-making spot (though you can also purchase wine there). Atmosphere: So cozy! You walk in and the atmosphere feels more intimate (it's more dimly lit) - great for being with friends or a date activity. You immediately smell candles when you come in, so be mindful that there are a lot of smells going on! Activity: The entire experience took us around 1.5-2 hours and felt very relaxed. Our guide was very patient with us and informative - you start with visiting the scent wall and picking out 1-2 scents to combine into a candle. Then, you make it all on your own (with the guide's help / instructions) and wait for it to dry!

This is our server, Mia. She was excellent!

The place is very pretty, looks upscale. It's in such a great neighborhood. Our server, Mia, was fabulous! She was so knowledgeable and patient. She really took great care of us. We brought our own drinks and goodies to eat, but they have a full bar and charcuterie trays you can order. The candles have. soy-coconut wax blend and the scents are essential oils. These candles don't bother my allergies at all! The candle jars are large and the candle will burn for 40 hours. This place is big enough for parties or just a table for two. The process is fun. Great experience!!

Warning: their candles or the wix might be poor quality... health concern Do you want black soot all over your nose and throat or your room?! I didn't want to publicly write this review but I contacted them weeks ago and still haven't gotten any response so I wanted to warn others. The experience we had at this place was 5/5 when we went to make our candles. We were also lucky because we went on a not so crowded day so we had some private time in the scent room before others started coming in. The candles are packaged nicely and you get to pick 2 scents for each candle you make. Staff was friendly and wasn't rushing us. There was a wide variety of scent selections we had so much fun smelling and paring. This place is romantic and perfect for a date night until.... Worst NIGHTMARE HAPPENED. We went home with our candles with no instruction or warning whatsoever about burning these candles. I assumed the typical (2-4hr) burning time should be fine. I burned my first candle for about 2.5-3 hrs in my bedroom before blowing it out and going to sleep. Next morning: I woke up with BLACK soot in my nose and also BLACK mucus down my throat. I attempted to cough it out for a good 10 min and still had remaining soot around my throat. My nose and throat were irritated. This was DISGUSTING. I never had issues with burning bath and body works candles. This made me think that the quality of the candle/wix this place provide is not good quality!!! I'm so grossed out I have to toss my remaining four candles out because there was no way I want to risk having soot in my body again. I looked online and saw people could have died from this. I'm angry - contact them and heard no explanation whatsoever. What's the point of providing their contact information and not respond back when it's negative feedback??

Valentines Day Candle Making Date! Made a reservation, bought a bunch of cold foods we could snack on and a bottle of wine. They did have a wine shop at the old city location we went too but we had brought our own wine! Cheyenne was our server she was super excited and helpful. Our table was a little small for all of our snacks and drinks that was the only minor inconvenience other wise was a great date night!!

Went for a girls trip and truly enjoyed the experience!! We made our own charcuterie board and wine. From the time we sat down to the time we left we had a amazing time! The smell room was my favorite! Getting to smell and mix the smells together.

Came here for a date night and had so much fun!! It's byob but they do provide glasses if you decide to bring wine and water. The staff walks you through. Every step of the way and the place is small and intimate. At the end, you get to take home your unique candles! They even provide a card with best practices for when lighting your candle.

Took my girlfriend here for our date night, the atmosphere was amazing, the staff was cool, and the experience was very fun! It is a great 1 on 1 bonding experience as the staff gives you enough space to have your conversations while still effectively guiding you when need be, you get to smell all the scents available and create something to take back home. Would definitely recommend and another great thing is the bring your own drinks and snacks part!

Experience was great, Imani was such a sweet heart and tended to our table even with her being the manager! She explained everything so perfectly and made the experience so enjoyable for us!

This is the perfect date or outing with friends if you're looking for a fun activity! As soon as you walk in you are greeted by a staff member to check-in. The bar is also next to the entrance. Which makes for a great start, the candle making process was super easy/enjoyable. Our reservations were for a Saturday early afternoon. It was nice to take our time smelling all of the scents without it being crowded. So recommended going early. Our instructor was friendly and helpful! Also, the ambiance was on point. After mixing scents + adding wax it took about 30 minutes to get our finished candles. I was excited to take them home & satisfied with the final results!

I do think the parking lot didnt have too many spaces. It is probably enough space for families to have birthday parties and other small events. It felt like a 50 space lot. As i went for a job fair, there were employees that needed to park which probably took a good chunk of spaces if they did not carpool and countless attendees coming and going. The fair was only 4 hours and in my talks with them, someone mentioned they were only accepting 700 resumes that day so I imagine they were expecting alot of different people to come whether they drove or not throughout the day. Granted it took me less than an hour to speak with everyone i could, I dont think the parking was sufficient for that type of event and i had to park 2 blocks away.

One thing that really stood out was the complimentary coat and bag check, such a nice touch and made everything feel easy and well-organized. We ordered a charcuterie board to snack on. Some parts were good, like the hummus, which was smooth and flavorful. A few of the veggies, though, seemed a little less fresh than expected, like the carrots and cucumbers, which were softer and a bit dry instead of crisp. The pita was also slightly on the dry side. It might have just been an off batch, but worth noting. Service overall was very attentive. At times, dishes and drinks were cleared a bit quickly--especially while I was in the middle of playing ping pong--but it really just reflects how prompt and on-top-of-things the staff are. On the flip side, they also help collect stray ping pong balls and keep buckets refilled, which makes the whole experience much smoother and more fun. Overall, it's a great spot for a night out with friends. You're really coming here for the ping pong and the energy, and on that front, it definitely delivers.

We came recently as paying customers on a double-date and had a great time again. If you're playing ping pong you can eat and play at the same time, but it's a little awkward because there's only so much room for your food. Overall, the food was pretty good. Nothing amazing. Well, except for the grilled Korean chicken sandwich; that was the highlight. Other dishes like the fries and the burger, per my husband-- were just simply passable. The truffle fries were much better than the ones that showed up with my sandwich, which by the way I had no idea came with the dish. So, I paid for fries twice. The ambiance is cool, very instagrammable, but it is super loud. I don't know how anyone could talk to each other. Cool if you're playing ping pong and just hanging, but don't think you're going to catch up with an old friend here. Not unless they have a more subdued experience earlier in the day. We came on a Saturday night and I had to be right up on my friend to hear her.

The Down Town Club is located inside a very large building in Old City and takes up at least one floor. Once you're out of the elevator you are greeted by a giant glass table and a centerpiece. For the wedding, this table was used to hold the place cards, which informed you of the the table you would be seating at. Behind that table is a large hall with a few tables, a bar and some counters, which can be used to plate food and serve horderves. I suppose it could also be used as a simple waiting area. There is also a piano located i that area, which can be used to play some live music. The horderves, which were served were top notch. Some of my favorites included the lamb chops, lobster, shrimp and ravioli. I also loved how they had a full sushi bar along with some other traditional Japanese options including ahi tuna. The dinner and dessert was great as well. The dressing on the salad was very tasty and the filet minion was perfectly done. The dessert options here were out of the world. Mini-cupcakes, cannolis, funnel cake and more were all provided and they were all very delicious. The view of Independence Hall is absolutely spectacular as well. The Ball Room wasn't giant, but it easily held over 200 people without as if the room was, too crowded. The ball room was also quickly transformed from hosting the wedding ceremony towards become a place to hold a fun party. While I didn't use it, valet parking was available, which was a nice touch. Altogether, the Down Town Club is a very nice space to hold a variety of events including weddings!
