My wife and I attended a lovely wedding reception here. The once former Union Trust Company Bank now serves as a wedding venue. Firstly I must say that the architecture and decor is grande and elegant. The Catering and staffing is managed by Finley Catering. I have no complaints about the staff they were all very personable and attentive. Chef Frank who prepared the brisket for the carving station was a standout. Christopher my bartender made the perfect Cosmopolitan. For the most part the food was good. The calamari separated from the breading as soon as you touched it and it was chewier than it should've been. The clams and lobster tails were good but the mussels had no flavor. The oysters Rockefeller, Kobe sliders, brisket and lamb chops were all good. The sliders, baby lamb chops and the buffalo chicken pastry were the best of the passed apps. The venue itself wasn't bad. It has a main floor with a small bar and a long but narrow ballroom. Incidentally the ladies room is on the first floor by the front door and the men's room is on the second floor all the way in the back. The main floor has some large square pillars that obstruct your view and the dance floor is not that big. There is also a second floor mezzanine with a large bar and some additional seating. I don't know if Union Trust is a good value but it definitely was above average.

This place is a definite hidden gem in the middle of Center City! One that I had never heard before! It was the most perfect wedding venue! First of all, the parking lot is right there! No walking down blocks, no trying to find a parking space! So you can sport those 5 inch heels without regret! When I walked through the doors, I was IN SHOCK at the ambiance! It was incredible. The ceilings were at least 50 feet and yet it felt quaint and comfortable. The room was set up into the main floor for the actual ceremony. When I looked up, there was a glass terrace on another floor, over looking the main floor. Then, there was a wrap around dining loft and bar which were on the second floor, but wrapped mostly in glass; which ended with a full service bar along the back wall! Now, to the food!!! OMG! The food was extravagant! From the tender cuts of premium filets, delectable seafood, to the al dente pastas! Topping it off with a full dessert bar! #weddingflow

Planning a wedding from across the country is stressful enough, but working with Michelle at Finley Catering (Union Trust) has made it so easy and actually enjoyable because we were in such good hands. I'm happy we were patient through the pandemic delay because It was truly worth the wait. I didn't have to worry about a thing leading up to our wedding on 2/20/22 and was able to fully soak in every minute of our gorgeous reception. My husband and I had the wedding of our dreams; everything was absolutely perfect and our families and guests were blown away by the venue, bar and food. Tom the maître d' and our bridal attendant were incredibly helpful and attentive during our event. Do not hesitate to book any event with Finley - they are extremely professional, and run a well-oiled, tight ship. Their all-inclusive rates are a steal for the elevated level of food, service and luxury that you get. We are so grateful to the Finley team for giving us memories that will last a lifetime! Holy fancy batman! This place took atmosphere to the extreme in the best of ways. Make no mistake, there is more than just Union Trust's good looks to talk about. During the sneak peak event, they were packed but still put out great eats and kept bar service smooth.

Finley Catering has done it again. As a fan of the Crystal Tea Room, I was excited to check out their new venue Union Trust during their sneak peak, charity preview party. To start, the venue is gorgeous. While more recently it was a steakhouse, the building was originally a bank. They don't build banks the way they use to anymore because this historic building was decked out with great architecture and high ceilings. Add some modern lights to mix and you've got yourself a regal atmosphere. We were able to sample some appetizers throughout the event. There were both passed hors d'oeuvres and tables with food. One table had various sliders (pesto chicken, cheese burger & pulled pork) and crab cakes, while the table upstairs had a pasta station. I sampled a little of each slider and could see myself enjoy them during a wedding or fancy event. There was one bar on the main floor and two upstairs. At one point one of the bartenders had to ask for new glasses and more ice and seemed a little frustrated, so I guess there were some new venue growing pains. They were a little slow to clear used dishes from the tables, and the trays started to build up if you tried to bus yourself. I'm sure they'll get this worked out. They were offering tours but I didn't have a chance to take one. I'd be curious to see how a wedding would be set up between the two floors. The way everything was laid out, one would think the dinner tables would be on the main floor. I'm wondering what use the second floor would have during a wedding. Perhaps a space for cocktail hour? Anyone want to have a wedding there and invite me? From my experience at the sneak peak, I'd be happy to go back as a guest.

Luckily Saturday Club was available on a Saturday mid January. Joyce Dugan from the Saturday Club was nice and easy to work with. Since they didn't have a Friday event, they gave us keys on Friday and allowed us to do set up Friday evening and Saturday morning. They did provide the tables and chairs and set them up on Friday for us which was awesome. The employee Chris was there in the office during the wedding if we needed anything. The place is really cute and was the perfect size for our wedding. We had just the perfect amount of room for the number of table and chairs we used and enough room on the dance floor. There is a little area/ private room near the bathrooms that serves as the bridal suite and also a great place to nurse my son and for other nursing moms. The price was great and I love what the money goes towards. I would absolutely recommend this for a wedding of 50-90 guests or for other events. This would also be a great spot for bridal and baby showers. And they worked so well with our caterer. We put the photo booth in the front vestibule area. There is also a coat closet when you first walk in.

One thing that really stood out was the complimentary coat and bag check, such a nice touch and made everything feel easy and well-organized. We ordered a charcuterie board to snack on. Some parts were good, like the hummus, which was smooth and flavorful. A few of the veggies, though, seemed a little less fresh than expected, like the carrots and cucumbers, which were softer and a bit dry instead of crisp. The pita was also slightly on the dry side. It might have just been an off batch, but worth noting. Service overall was very attentive. At times, dishes and drinks were cleared a bit quickly--especially while I was in the middle of playing ping pong--but it really just reflects how prompt and on-top-of-things the staff are. On the flip side, they also help collect stray ping pong balls and keep buckets refilled, which makes the whole experience much smoother and more fun. Overall, it's a great spot for a night out with friends. You're really coming here for the ping pong and the energy, and on that front, it definitely delivers.

We came recently as paying customers on a double-date and had a great time again. If you're playing ping pong you can eat and play at the same time, but it's a little awkward because there's only so much room for your food. Overall, the food was pretty good. Nothing amazing. Well, except for the grilled Korean chicken sandwich; that was the highlight. Other dishes like the fries and the burger, per my husband-- were just simply passable. The truffle fries were much better than the ones that showed up with my sandwich, which by the way I had no idea came with the dish. So, I paid for fries twice. The ambiance is cool, very instagrammable, but it is super loud. I don't know how anyone could talk to each other. Cool if you're playing ping pong and just hanging, but don't think you're going to catch up with an old friend here. Not unless they have a more subdued experience earlier in the day. We came on a Saturday night and I had to be right up on my friend to hear her.

There was only one bathroom, and going up and down the stairs (in heels) got to be a huge hassle. After the ceremony ended, that room was closed off and everyone had to squeeze in the tiny entrance room for the cocktail hour. Once the reception started, everything was the complete opposite -- very spread out and separated, which wasn't terrible, but the major issue was the main reception room. Their were hardly any tables for such a large number of people and the dance floor was tiny. We made do and still enjoyed ourselves, but would have liked to eat sitting down at an actual table! Although this type of venue wouldn't be my first choice for a wedding specifically, it was still beautiful and if the layout doesn't bother you, the decor and feel of the place overall were perfect!
