I recently booked the Saturday Club for my baby shower. Our only issue was that when we came in to set up in the morning we arrived to a completely empty room with decorations still hanging from the previous party. We started to panic and was not able to get in touch with anyone but thankfully someone did eventually show up to set up the tables and help with the decorations. We were able to get the room set up in time for the part which in the end is all that mattered. The venue was easy to book and worked out perfectly!

Enough Room for 9 Tables and a Dance Floor!

I booked my entire wedding around hosting my reception at The Saturday Club and was totally happy with it! I was looking for a charming place, less than an hour away from the Philadelphia Airport, where we could ideally bring in all our own elements (Bar, Catering, DJ, etc) when we discovered The Saturday Club. The Saturday Club is a charming old building located smack in the middle of Wayne, PA, walking distance to a fantastic hotel, beautiful churches, public transportation and plenty of bars/restaurants. You pay a flat fee to rent their space and then bring in all your own (insured) elements! They were incredibly easy to work with and being able to pay for our own booze at cost, with the catering company serving for us, was such a huge cost saver! On top of this, the Wayne, PA area is beautiful and unexpectedly accessible! Everyone attending our wedding either flew into Philadelphia Airport, took public transportation from NYC or drove from Northern Pennsylvania resulting in a unique destination wedding! If you are looking for an alternative to the cookie cutter receptions sites that charge you an arm and a leg for every small add on, then I recommend going the DIY route at The Saturday Club!

The ENTIRE POMME TEAM helped my sister-in-law have the wedding of her absolute dreams, and every detail was handled with such care and grace. From start to finish, the experience felt seamless and magical. What stood out the most was the warmth of the staff--every single person had a smile, was incredibly kind, and made us all feel like family. That level of hospitality is rare, and it truly elevated the entire celebration. The atmosphere they created was not only elegant and beautiful but also filled with joy and love. George and his team went above and beyond in every way possible. They weren't just hosting an event; they were creating an unforgettable experience. Because of them, my sister-in-law's wedding wasn't just special--it was extraordinary. If you're looking for a venue and a team that will treat your event with the highest level of professionalism, care, and genuine kindness, Pomme is the place. I will forever be grateful for the memories they helped us create!

For future couples considering Pomme: proceed with caution and a clear understanding of what you're walking into. Let's start with the good: The venue itself is gorgeous. We had to move our ceremony indoors at the last-minute due to weather, which I was heartbroken about, but I'll admit that the space still looked stunning. It's flexible and modern, giving couples a great canvas to make their own. The food and drinks were outstanding. Our guests raved about the cocktail hour, especially the cheesesteak station. And the Pineapple Margarita (our signature drink) was a crowd favorite. Service during the event was, for the most part, excellent. Guests told us it was some of the best they've experienced, especially how dinner was served in unison. Now...the bad: I showed up to the rehearsal with my parents, grandparents, and wedding party excited to walk through what was supposed to be the first look at our ceremony setup. Instead, we walked into a construction site. Tarps, ladders, open buckets of white paint, and men actively painting -- at the literal spot where I was to say my vows in less than 24 hours. No warning. No apology. Just a smile and a comment from our coordinator about how "lucky" we were to be the first wedding of the season with a "fresh coat of paint." That was not reassurance -- that was spin. And it was insulting. Our coordinator, was not the right fit. Our personalities didn't mesh from the beginning, but more importantly, I never felt prioritized or truly cared for. I didn't feel like a bride. I felt like a line item. Looking back, I wish I'd asked for someone else early on. Be prepared to spend thousands more than your initial quote. Nearly everything costs extra, and I don't mean small add-ons. $100 for a case of Miller Lite (yes, really). $55 for a bottle of Prosecco. And no, you can't bring your own drinks in the bridal suite. $1,400 for string lights (they put them up and take them down between every wedding just to ensure they can keep charging for them). $200/hour extra for time in the bridal suite, because the included five hours are never enough when doing a first look. Signature drinks, bridal suite food, even basic setup -- all à la carte and wildly overpriced. No one even bothered to tell me in the beginning that a big majority of gluten-free options (I have celiac disease) would cost extra. We were told the staff wouldn't help us set up the day-of, so we planned accordingly. But they did it anyway, which was a pleasant surprise! But then...our coordinator left. At 9:30pm. The only person who knew all our plans and logistics was suddenly gone without prior warning. By 11pm, it felt like pure chaos. Décor was being boxed up randomly, no one knew what belonged where or what was being donated, and I was being pulled in a million directions. Instead of heading to our after-party, I was left running damage control. In summary: Beauty and bites only go so far when the process is riddled with stress, miscommunication, hidden fees, and a lack of care. We spent a lot of money -- and what should have been the most joyful day of our lives still carries a sting. If you're considering Pomme, ask every question, get everything in writing, and advocate hard for yourself. Because I didn't -- and I regret it.

The outdoor wedding space was surrounded by woods and had a pergola in the front. The area was surrounded by historic buildings. There was enough room for an outdoor cocktail hour, with some high-top tables and a few normal tables as well. The reception space was an all-weather tent of sorts, with fans, stringed lights, and solid structure that has plastic walls that could be connected in the case of a storm. There was also a fire pit area, which was really nice. The couple chose to make this a smoking/cigar celebratory area, which worked really well. The cocktail hour was very good. Drinks were tasty and strong, and the hors d'oeuvres (many hot butlered plus a meat, cheese, bread, and vegetable table) were varied and delicious. The main course and desserts were very good as well- not standard bland wedding fare. Your place card corresponded to the dinner choice, so at the bottom of my place card was an outline of a carrot to denote that I had ordered the vegetarian entree option. This was an interesting idea (so that the waiters wouldn't have to double-check and take order), but the waiters did seem to have a hard time serving and looking to see what each person ordered and distributing appropriately. Overall, this venue was beautiful. It is for someone who wants to have an outdoors-y wedding and reception and caters to a very specific clientele as such, but everything was great.

An easy choice for a laid back afternoon in King of Prussia. We stopped into Workhorse Brewing Company for a Saturday lunch and walked away genuinely impressed. The space itself is massive and well laid out, making it ideal for groups while still feeling comfortable and relaxed. Even better, it is kid friendly, which makes it a great option when you want a brewery vibe without excluding the whole family. The drink program really shines here. The beer lineup was solid across the board, with styles for just about everyone. What surprised us most was the cocktail menu. They were running seasonal Christmas renditions, including an Old Fashioned that was festive without being gimmicky and genuinely excellent. It is refreshing to find a brewery that takes cocktails seriously. Food came out quickly and was better than expected. Everything we tried was tasty, but their take on the traditional Philly cheesesteak stood out and is absolutely worth ordering. Though a slight miss for the buffalo chicken cheeseteak, as it was dry and under seasoned. Overall, Workhorse is a great place to spend an afternoon. Plates, utensils, and water are all self service. If you want to sample some more beers. You must order them through the app as well. This discouraged us from ordering more than we would have had there been an actual waiter/waitress. The lack of personal interaction was disheartening. The food was decent but nothing exceptional as we sampled the wings. Buffalo chicken egg rolls and cheese steak. We would have opted to order some desert "bombs" as well but again, the lack of wait staff had us reluctant to splurge. From what we could see the venue offers lots to do with corn hole, bingo nights, live music and more but we came on a weeknight with nothing going on. I would think if we came on an event night we may have had a different experience. Granting stars for the cleanliness, possible potential for live music, the edibility of the food but for us it's a one and done.

Chef/proprietor Carlo deMarco, a Villanova native, is still turning out top-notch contemporary American fare with international flair in a lively yet decidedly sophisticated setting. And, although Mr. deMarco's seasonally changing menu continues to offer his patrons exciting new possibilities, there are still a number of old favorites that I remember from my first go round. The inordinately tender yet crispy Salt Pepper Calamari with beguiling pumpkinseed aioli, for example, still makes a fabulous starter, as does the Butter Lettuce Salad garnished with Danish blue cheese, candid walnuts, shaved apple, and finished with an outstanding Champagne vinaigrette. Entrée-wise, as I mentioned in my initial review, pork still plays a major role. The Java Pork Tenderloin (pictured) with smashed yams, mango salsa, black bean sauce, and maple jus remains a house favorite, with the Grilled Pork Chop accompanied by down-home andouille-spiked mac & cheese finishing a close second. Our most recent visit, however, was somewhat different in scope, as my dining partner and I decided to take advantage of Main Line Today Restaurant Week. Which meant that though our menu choices were limited to three apps, three entrées, and two desserts, the price - $39.95 per person (plus beverages, tax & gratuity) for a three-course dinner - and the overall quality of the cuisine were more than sufficient compensation. To start things off, I chose the Spicy Asian Brussels Sprouts (pictured) embellished with peanuts, shishito peppers (shishito peppers are small mild peppers from Japan with an average of one out of ten being on the hot side), and sweet chili sauce. Brussels sprouts are just one of those vegetables... you either love them or hate them, there seems to be no middle ground. I am most definitely of the former persuasion. And, to the kitchen's credit, the sprouts were perfectly prepared... Not too crunchy; not too mushy. Just right. My only quibble is that the word "spicy" is really something of a misnomer, as there was infinitely more sweetness than spice at work here - indeed, describing the dish as "cloying," at least from my palate's perspective, would not be considered hyperbole. My dining partner's Butternut Squash Bisque (pictured), on the other hand, was spot-on perfect, a simply superb rendering of this traditional favorite. The squash is beautifully seasoned with ginger and touch of curry, then combined with sautéed onion and submerged in copious amounts of apple cider. Once puréed, hot cream is added, followed by a bit of sour cream, cinnamon, and brown sugar. The flavor is rich, complex, and incredibly addictive. Definitely distinctive and not to be missed. Entrée possibilities included the above-noted Java Pork Tenderloin, Chef's Choice Chicken Entrée, and the Simply Grilled Salmon (pictured). On any other occasion, I have no doubt, one or both of us would have gone right for the pork... But on this particular evening, for some reason, we were both in the mood for salmon, which turned out to be an absolutely fabulous choice. The fish was a beautifully prepared - just as our server suggested and we specified - medium rare. But not only was it simply grilled, but also simply presented with a house salad of mixed greens, goat cheese, toasted sesame seeds, cucumber, tomato, bell pepper, crispy wontons, and utterly seductive orange-ginger vinaigrette. And that lovely orange-ginger concoction proved to be not only a marvelous dressing for the salad but also a wonderful complement to the salmon, transforming a relatively straightforward dish into something sublime. Dessert choices were especially limited and pretty basic - either Warm Bread Pudding (pictured) or Flourless Chocolate Cake. I freely admit to being something of a chocoholic, but flourless chocolate cake - at least for my palate - is just too much of a good thing. Just too much of too much. I opted instead for the bread pudding... as did my dining partner, who is not a particular fan of chocolate. ... And, once again, this proved to be a most fortuitous choice, as the bread pudding succeeded in surpassing all expectations. Rich, creamy, and calorically out-of-sight, it added a decidedly decadent note to a perfectly delightful evening at table... And, as I mentioned above, the price was right.

We got so lucky to have the team we did, who told us repeatedly that we had amazing guests and the vibes were high. Namely, George, Karen, and Steph made our big day possible. George sought out our vegan guests and made sure they got enough of their appetizers and desserts. Neither of us were without a drink or anything else we needed because of Karen's care and attention. Steph executed all of our dreams wonderfully and accepted our feedback with grace when things needed tweaking.
