The ballroom is clean and has room for about 200 people. Bathrooms are nice, super bar, and good acoustics.

I found out about this place when my cousin and his wife had their wedding reception here. My husband and I just got married and had our ceremony AND reception here in the upstairs ballroom. We dealt with Amber who was awesome. We have elaborate Halloween parties every year, so for our wedding we wanted to go non-traditional and instead have a Halloween wedding. It also just so happened to be an LGBT wedding. Amber was so accommodating, friendly, and excited for us from the start. She even participated in the Halloween theme by wearing a masquerade mask, which we thought was fun! We had about 125 people with 13 tables of 10 people each. There was still plenty of room for the ceremony itself. There was also plenty of room for the dance floor and dj. There's a nice alcove that worked perfectly for our arch. There are double doors to the side that lead to the bridal suite (we called it the grooms suite). For our short ceremony, it was perfect. We walked out from those doors, to the alcove with our arch. Then back to the suite after the ceremony. They also have an in-house caterer, PTG run by Gil, who I highly recommend. The food was delicious and the choices and variety seemed endless. Gil is also very friendly and accommodating. There is also a bar towards the back of the ballroom. Originally we only had 1 bartender, but then our guest list grew, and Amber was able to get us a second bartender the day before. Overall we and all the guests had a blast! Everything went very smoothly, and I have to really give a lot of kudos and thanks to Amber, Gil, and everyone who works there. Excellent service all around, I am so happy we chose this place! Highly recommended for any occasion! read more

Spring Mill Ballroom - Party & Event Planning Near Me - Conshohocken, Pennsylvania

I coordinated my second event with Amber at the Spring Mill Ballroom. Amber was very helpful in guiding me through the process. The room rental was reasonable and the bar costs per person was very good. The room is equipped with a speaker system which we used for our presentation. The preferred caterer, PTG, was on target and even added flower centerpieces for the tables as an special touch. Gil and Kate (our server) were easy to work with to get a menu together and really made it easy for me. Parking for the venue is free and the location is perfect for guests who prefer the train or public transit from the city. If you are looking for a great location only a few miles from Philadelphia, with great service, this is the place. They will make you look like a professional event planner... Thank you Amber, Gil and Kate! read more

I recently hosted a 50th Birthday party for my husband, and was searching high and low for places to have it. Then I stumbled upon this place. So happy that I did. For $350, you can rent out a pretty decent sized room with tables and another room with a bar AND a bartender. Since the price was right, I decided to pay for the bar tab and that wasn't bad either. $2 drafts and $4 cocktails were served with a smile by Colleen who was sweet and helpful to us. Jim was the guy I met with to rent the place to us. He was not uber friendly, but accommodating none-the-less. If you have a small sized event for under 100 people, this is the place. They also have a large sized banquet hall upstairs with a fancier motif for weddings and such. Just an FYI. Also good to know... great central location for most people in the Philadelphia area. Right off of 76, 476 & Turnpike. Have fun!! read more

My friend hosted her casual in-town wedding reception here. They were married in Iceland, but wanted to have a second, low-key reception in Philly for friends and family who couldn't make the trip. The Spring Mill Fire Co was a great choice (in my opinion) for her Sunday afternoon party. The ballroom is very nice and looks new, and works well for a mid-size party - they had about 10 round 8-person tables set up around the room, with a dance floor up in front (the bar back in one corner and restrooms off to one side). The large windows along one wall let in plenty of natural light. The bar offers reasonably priced drinks (incl. $4 wine), and there was room to set up a corn hole game and other games for kids along the windows. My friend got catering (sandwich trays and finger foods) from Pepperoncini's - delicious! Overall, a great venue and not what I'd expect from a "fire hall"! read more

I was a matron of honor in a wedding held at spring mills on Sunday! The staff is rude! The rules are ridiculous for guests to follow AMD the fact that they dont allow more than a 2.5 hr setup without additional payment is ridiculous. I have been in 7 weddings never in my life have I seen such a rude wedding venue staff! read more

I would like to update my review. I recently found out that Jim is no longer associated with this establishment. I can give the facility more stars. The ball room is beautiful, spacious, and clean. I recommend the space for events of all sizes. I have not actually had any dealings with the facility since he left, but I am willing to do so now. Below is my old review. "The ballroom is beautiful. My husband and I just had our wedding and reception there. Jim is the worst to work with we scheduled to have our family come to the hall to look it it with us Jim wanted to charge us 85 dollars for ten minutes. He was so rude to our parents. He mentioned to us that we need 5 of his staff members on the floor at our event NO MATTER WHAT, because we did not have a licensed catered. That was fine with us. We understood. I called Jim in early August to set up a 30 minute rehearsal run through with our bridal party. All the dates in September I suggested were rudely denied. Jim told us the ONLY day available was two days before our wedding. We were willing to work with that. We wanted to have it T 430 pm and he claimed that time doesn't work well for people because of the local traffic and suggested we made it later in the evening. Then things got uglier we called him the day before the rehearsal to pay him for an hour as he requested and he said we never talked to him. We never scheduled it. He doesn't know what we are talking About people had that day and that time booked for over a year!!!!!!!!!! We took the Loss and couldn't sweat it too much because our wedding was in TWO DAYS! We tried to call and email several times and he was always too busy to talk and gave us a better time to call back we did what he said every time. That wasn't good enough. We tried to touch base about his 5 MANDATORY helpers and Jim once again was confused and not sure where our whole family heard that information. He bumped the price up the DAY OF OUR WEDDING because he 'found workers who were willing to stop what they were doing to come in' he then over charged us for the help. UNTIL JIM NO LONGER WORKS HERE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THE BALLROOM" - written October 2014 read more

Until the current management changes (terri) I would not recommend this facility. Used it before under previous management and had great experiences. Ballroom is nice but staff under her leadership is poor/rude. Recommend using other facilities until they improve. You can do better and there are other facilities close. read more

I visited this location for a bridal shower. This location is conveniently located near a regional rail train stop. Traveling from Philly was far less annoying than I expected. The upstairs banquet facility is large and open. The Bride to be found the male bartender to be rude although I did not experience this personally. The bridal party seemed to be doing a lot of the tear down but I am not sure if it's required. read more

I first want to say that Spring Mill Banquet Hall is the worst venue to have any type of party...including a wedding! You really get what you pay for and the unprofessional is paramount . It was only last night I was there for my sister in law's wedding and faced with the most ridiculous people I have ever met in my life. First of all it was a cash bar and the bar from what it seemed like was making money..so how can you charge someone $1 for a cup of ice? Not to mention sodas were supposed to be included in the contract. The owner Jim was the main one who was super nasty and made it his mission to guard every cup of ice or soda that was leaving the bar area. I should mention that there was a separate caterer also who did a TERRIBLE job, as well but I am only speaking on Spring Mill. if you want a venue where you feel uncomfortable then this is the place. I wil never again go to this place for any type of party/wedding! This was my 2nd wedding function and it still remains the worst venue I have ever been to and I have been to MANY weddings! Stay away! Its better to take your $ somewhere else where you are not going to be treated as crap and have to pay for a cup of ice!!! Absolutely ridiculous. read more

I recently hosted my father 60th birthday party in February 2014. Gorgeous place my guest were very pleased of the atmosphere but a lot of things I wasn't pleased about..the dollar per guest for the bar even if kids are included in it count and very uncomfortable of how the guy Jim was very rude at times. We spend a lot of money renting this hall and thought we were treated disrespectful. If they had another person running the business maybe I would recommend to friends and family but NO WAY!! Look elsewhere if u wanna b satisfied. read more
