Peachtree Catering and Events

We had an amazing experience with Peachtree for our wedding at the Willows. Though we were nervous…read moreat first about there being one exclusive caterer and an assigned day-of coordinator, everything turned out wonderfully. From the planning documents to the tasting, the experience leading up to the wedding was intentional and made us feel so special. It is obvious how much attention and care the Peachtree team puts into their service of each individual guest. We can't say enough good things about the staff. We got so lucky to have the team we did, who told us repeatedly that we had amazing guests and the vibes were high. Namely, George, Karen, and Steph made our big day possible. George sought out our vegan guests and made sure they got enough of their appetizers and desserts. Neither of us were without a drink or anything else we needed because of Karen's care and attention. Steph executed all of our dreams wonderfully and accepted our feedback with grace when things needed tweaking. At the end of the night, our hotel shuttle forgot about us, so my wife and I also were able to chat more with the staff, and they genuinely all seemed so happy to be with us. This was absolutely a highlight of our day! Food was my wife's number one most important line item when it came to our wedding, especially having been served less than ideal meals as vendors and seeing the same things over and over. Multiple reviews of Peachtree told us what we needed to know, and we were confident about the menu options. During the tasting, we were a little thrown off because there weren't many items that we loved, but our coordinator reminded us that they're choosing things to present that you wouldn't have necessarily chosen on your own. Our wedding day food was truly unreal, hands down the best wedding food I've had. All our guests were RAVING about it too!

Wedding at Pomme - April 12, 2025 While our wedding day…read moreturned out beautiful in many ways, the journey getting there was unnecessarily stressful and left us with more regrets than we ever anticipated. For future couples considering Pomme: proceed with caution and a clear understanding of what you're walking into. Let's start with the good: * The venue itself is gorgeous. We had to move our ceremony indoors at the last-minute due to weather, which I was heartbroken about, but I'll admit that the space still looked stunning. It's flexible and modern, giving couples a great canvas to make their own, which was a huge reason we chose Pomme. * The food and drinks were outstanding. Our guests raved about the cocktail hour, especially the cheesesteak station. And the Pineapple Margarita (our signature drink) was a crowd favorite. * Service during the event was, for the most part, excellent. Guests told us it was some of the best they've experienced, especially how dinner was served in unison. * Special shoutout to the lovely woman who took care of my husband and me in the bridal suite and during dinner. I regret not remembering her name, because she was truly a highlight. She made sure we were fed, hydrated, and relaxed in the middle of the madness. Now...the bad: Our experience leading up to the day -- and even parts of the day itself -- left us hurt, frustrated, and frankly, angry. * I showed up to the rehearsal with my parents, grandparents, and wedding party excited to walk through what was supposed to be the first look at our ceremony setup. Instead, we walked into a construction site. Tarps, ladders, open buckets of white paint, and men actively painting -- at the literal spot where I was to say my vows in less than 24 hours. No warning. No apology. Just a smile and a comment from our coordinator Steph about how "lucky" we were to be the first wedding of the season with a "fresh coat of paint." That was not reassurance -- that was a spin. And it was insulting. * Steph, our coordinator, was not the right fit. Our personalities didn't mesh from the beginning, but more importantly, I never felt prioritized or truly cared for. I didn't feel like a bride. I felt like a line item. Looking back, I wish I'd asked for someone else early on. * Be prepared to spend thousands more than your initial quote. Nearly everything costs extra, and I don't mean small add-ons. - $200 for a case of Miller Lite (yes, really). $55 for a bottle of Prosecco. And no, you can't bring your own drinks in the bridal suite. - $1,400 for string lights (they put them up and take them down between every wedding just to ensure they can keep charging for them). - $200/hour extra for time in the bridal suite, because the included five hours are never enough when doing a first look. - Signature drinks, bridal suite food, even basic setup -- all à la carte and wildly overpriced. No one even bothered to tell me in the beginning that a big majority of gluten-free options (I have celiac disease) would cost extra. A huge reason why we chose Pomme in the first place. * We were told the staff wouldn't help us set up the day-of, so we planned accordingly. But they did it anyway, which was a pleasant surprise! It looked beautiful, and we were grateful. But then... Steph left. At 9:30pm. The only person who knew all our plans and logistics was suddenly gone without prior warning. By 11pm, it felt like pure chaos. Décor was being boxed up randomly, no one knew what belonged where or what was being donated, and I was being pulled in a million directions. Instead of heading to our after-party, I was left running damage control. I didn't even make it to the after-party because I was so drained. That last hour felt like the rug was pulled out from under us. In summary: Yes, the space is beautiful. Yes, the food is memorable. But beauty and bites only go so far when the process is riddled with stress, miscommunication, hidden fees, and a lack of care. We spent a lot of money -- and what should have been the most joyful day of our lives still carries a sting. I wish I had known all of this beforehand. After talking to other recent brides, it seems like I was the only one dealing with these unnecessary issues. If you're considering Pomme, ask every question, get everything in writing, and advocate hard for yourself. Because I didn't -- and I regret it.

Events By Renee

I can not rave enough about Renee and her team who assisted us for two of my daughter's weddings…read more We could not have pulled off both events without her. Renee was on top of everything throughout the planning process, making arrangements, coordinating vendors and offering wonderful advice. The day of the weddings Renee and Allison hit the ground running. She was onsite while the girls were getting hair and makeup, coordinated and pick up food for the girls and the guys at a different location. She is the absolute BEST! We planned and had two weddings within 6 months, during the pandemic. Renee talked us all off of the ledge a few times and was my voice of reason often. I can not say thank you enough to Renee for all that she did for us to coordinate our weddings. I highly recommend hiring Renee. "Events by Renee" was worth their weight in gold.

We booked Events by Renee for our daughter's recent wedding (May 2022) for the full planning…read moreservices plus extra for help planning two additional parties. Overall Impression: This was not a good value for the money spent. Our daughter's wedding was not given any significant priority, even the month of the wedding. Note that Ms. Rhinehart, the owner of the business, works part-time in this business and full-time developing partyhosthelper.com. We were not privy to this when booking. Pros: * Day of Support good; the Planner worked long hours, even helped with clean up * Taping job for bride's wardrobe malfunction excellent, stayed in place * Help with bridesmaid's dress also very good * Flexible with some last minute/late changes (changing three lights to two on the tables, changing plans to attend the AA tasting) * Helpful in acting as the bride and groom's witness when they applied for their marriage license * Picked up favors and stored centerpieces for the bride Cons: * Planning missed a lot of important details throughout planning (wedding date, etc.); does not take notes at meetings * Did not feel like personal service as requested in the initial interview, not enough time with bride. The bride missed dates to do things because the Planner was not in regular touch with the bride. The MOB had to step in to actively plan the wedding. * Very difficult to contact except email, even to schedule a meeting which had to be during business hours * Vendor search limited to one vendor, even after MOB mentioned the one vendor did not work * Planner not flexible to redo the vendor search after COVID rescheduling (extra fee for this), resulting in MOB, bride doing their own vendor searches for some vendors * Not budget-oriented as requested in initial interview in terms of purchasing additional services, resulting in going over budget continuously with nearly every vendor hired * Forgot that we were out of town in planning the wedding * Did not receive payment notifications when things were due or adequate budget spreadsheets * Nearly all communications (mostly emails) left something to be desired, resulting in lots of wasted time for the MOB, FOB, and others * Lack of timely response to many inquiries * Knowledge of venue not adequate (overstated in initial interview) * The Planner did not know the correct order for a Jewish wedding (where they stand at the altar) and directed incorrectly. This resulted in bride's family not seeing her face on the video. * Suggested lots of add-on fees for things that should have been included even though we paid for the premium service plus extra for planning additional parties. * Two special requests from MOB (a search of more than one vendor for chairs and welcome bag assembly) were handled mostly by assistants, resulting in uneven results. * No support given for times the planner was not available (her honeymoon and maternity leave)
