Twin crab cakes with parmesan whipped potatoes & roasted asparagus
Madison G.

We came here to celebrate my mother-in-laws 60th birthday. This place had a lot of potential to be great, however it just seemed to miss the mark on some key points. Our group started at the lower level bar for some drinks before dinner. This bar/dining room combo was definitely more casual than the upstairs, which was nice. The bartender was friendly and attentive as we sipped our drinks. I had high hopes for dinner at this point! Once we were seated upstairs for dinner, I was able to take a good look around at the decor. There's no other way to put it - this place needs a bit of an update/makeover. The atmosphere gave off a creepy haunted parlor vibe. It would greatly benefit from updating something as minor was the window treatments or even the carpet to something a little more light and airy. I was surprised at some of the items on the menu, given that we visited at the end of April. There were items like butternut squash soup and pumpkin risotto. I wasn't sure why such seasonally-specific dishes would be mainstays on their menu, but I tried not to be too judgmental at this point. Our table started with 3 different appetizers - the calamari ($15), baked Brie & raspberry in a pastry crust ($15), and the scallops ($17). For these steep prices, I have to say I was expecting a little bit more in some aspects. The baked Brie was delicious, and seemed to be a favorite among the table. I was told the calamari was perfectly done as well. Lastly, the $17 scallops came with TWO scallops. I am sorry, but that is absolutely insane for $17, no matter how good they were. For my entree, I got the twin crab cakes served with roasted asparagus and whipped potatoes. The presentation of the dish was an A+. It was beautifully plated and I appreciated that. The crab cakes were very good, but I personally do not think they were worth $30. The potatoes were good, but lacked a bit of flavor. The asparagus was done very well and tasted great! Overall, our table agreed that while the food was very good, the prices were just too steep for what it was. The service from the waitress was severely lacking (she was taking care of dining room tables as well as bartending the entire bar). In my eyes, that is poor service when you're paying $30+ a plate for dinner. Unfortunately I do not think I will be returning.

Skippack, PA. 4.5 stars. We happened to be in Skippack with our dog and decided to come for a late lunch and drinks. We sat outside and weather was lovely. Food and drinks were great. Service was great and enjoyed sitting outside with our dog. Inside is gorgeous so will be back to dine indoors.

Exceptional Bridal Shower!!! We held a bridal shower for my son's fiancée this past weekend at Hotel Fiesole. The main dining room was absolutely beautiful, the buffet in the Charlie car was so unique and the food was very good!! We also used the outside terrace for cocktails, and they set up a Prosecco bar for us with fresh fruit and mixers...it was just great!!! The service was wonderful from the head Caterer Gerry, to the bar tender and the wait staff. Everyone was very attentive, and truly a pleasure to work with!! Thank you for making our event so very special!!!

My husband and I visited Hotel Fiesole to celebrate our anniversary. The atmosphere and food were great! We especially enjoyed Jay who prepared our sangria and really went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. Jay was awesome!! We're grateful to him and the rest of the staff to making our date so special. Plus, they have a fantastic live band playing every Friday and Saturday nights.

Stefano Room for wedding ceremony.

Wow!!! where to begin....my daughter recently had her wedding ceremony and reception at Hotel Fiesole in Skippack, PA. I cannot say enough good things about how the event turned out. Gerry, the event coordinator, along with the wonderful staff including general manager, servers, bartenders, etc. went over and above to ensure my daughter's special day was beyond my expectations. The hotel, itself, is beautiful and was the perfect backdrop for the classic and intimate vibe we wanted. The food was delicious and the service incredible. The whole experience from beginning to end was magical! I highly recommend Hotel Fiesole for your wedding venue, you won't regret it!!!!

The actual bar was kind of small. I would have expected it to be bigger considering this would be a frequent stop for the golfers. I wanted the cheesesteak eggrolls for an appetizer and was informed they were out of them...okay...second choice was crab stuffed poppers. The poppers were good. This was probably a better choice than the eggrolls. I was a little confused by the condiments - marinara and duck sauce. I tried both with the poppers. Neither option seemed correct but I ended up using the marinara. I ordered the salmon entree which included black beans and rice. They were out of rice. I was asked to substitute green beans. Fine. How are you out of rice!!?!? I would think this would be a kitchen staple. Salmon wasn't horrible and the black beans were okay. The green beans were crunchy. Okay for me personally but I would imagine not perfect for others. Sorry to say this is not a place I would frequent or even return to any time soon.

Oh how I miss those days! This hotel is a newer hotel, located in a prime spot just off the PA Turnpike (NE extension Lansdale exit) and has a nice large parking lot that is free. The lobby of the hotel was beautifully decorated for the holiday and had a table with gingerbread houses made by some of the staff. There is a long banquette in front of the TV with a beautiful gas fireplace. There is a sort of dining area where you can sit for the breakfast you pay for since it isn't included (when did this stop?). The rooms are very modern with sleek appliances and a sort of coffee station with a very small fridge below. Why then am I only giving this 3 stars? If not for the newness and modernity I would be giving it 2 stars. The treatment was severely lacking. When we checked in, the guy checking us in was on the rude side. We were given the feeling that we had interrupted his contemplation of his navel lint and he resented that. Then there are the beds. The pillows were like rejects from a lesser quality hotel in that they were very flat & lumpy at the same time. The sheets on my bed didn't have the necessary elastic in order to meet the definition of a 'fitted' sheet and I woke with all of the sheets wrapped around me and I was sleeping on a bare mattress. The maid service was something where much was left to be desired. Yes, it was the holiday weekend and had she been nicer or the hotel more accommodating then maybe we would've agreed to not having maid service on Christmas Day. It was like I wanted to tell her that smiling isn't a crime. She was very grumpy. Additionally, my sheets weren't changed, she just made the bed. How do I know this? Unless Marriott invested in fitted sheets with broken elastic, then I had the exact same non-fitted sheet on my bed for the entire stay. There was no vacuuming, no dusting and there is NO WAY you can tell me that they followed Covid cleaning because of included picture with the rust stain bleeding from the hand rail in our shower that got longer & longer each day. I wiped it with a face towel my last day & left it on the counter...shock! It was easily wiped! The last thing, and yes, it WAS a holiday weekend so I'm more forgiving for this. When we opened our drapes, there in the center of the window was this very large deposit of bird feces. What a joy to look at every day! It's such a shame, truly. There are no more dependably nice hotels any longer. They are all hit or miss. Lately they are more of a miss than a hit.
