We were planning from afar in TN so everything besides our initial venue tour was done virtually. Devan was our 'concierge' who was able to keep us on track with the timeline and provide recommendations. She was always quick to get us answers to any questions and it was nice to have a dedicated member of their team to correspond with! At the 3-month mark we were handed off to Hannah who was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! If you have the honor of working with her, consider yourself so lucky. She was so responsive and on top of things, and her calming demeanor was perfect for the day of the wedding. Her attention to detail was also incredible. I think she picked up every single little thing I said during our calls. Our maitre d' was Mu who was equally as impressive as Hannah. I don't think my husband or I had an empty glass in our hands the entire night! Which is also the reason why I only made it to the bar once to see Tim, our head bartender, but from what I heard from ALL of our guests, he was great as well. All of our guests raved about the food-- the spread for cocktail hour, the entrees, and the dessert spread. Cescaphe really does have it down to a science! The Down Town Club is located inside a very large building in Old City and takes up at least one floor. Once you're out of the elevator you are greeted by a giant glass table and a centerpiece. For the wedding, this table was used to hold the place cards, which informed you of the the table you would be seating at. Behind that table is a large hall with a few tables, a bar and some counters, which can be used to plate food and serve horderves. I suppose it could also be used as a simple waiting area. There is also a piano located i that area, which can be used to play some live music. The horderves, which were served were top notch. Some of my favorites included the lamb chops, lobster, shrimp and ravioli. I also loved how they had a full sushi bar along with some other traditional Japanese options including ahi tuna. The dinner and dessert was great as well. The dressing on the salad was very tasty and the filet minion was perfectly done. The dessert options here were out of the world. Mini-cupcakes, cannolis, funnel cake and more were all provided and they were all very delicious. The view of Independence Hall is absolutely spectacular as well. The Ball Room wasn't giant, but it easily held over 200 people without as if the room was, too crowded. The ball room was also quickly transformed from hosting the wedding ceremony towards become a place to hold a fun party. While I didn't use it, valet parking was available, which was a nice touch. Altogether, the Down Town Club is a very nice space to hold a variety of events including weddings!

Once I walked in, immediately the room of the event was decorated nicely. The ballroom was spacious, decent sized dance floor, and a bar. This particular event had a cash bar with complimentary soft drinks. I ordered a cosmopolitan drink that was made nicely. I peeped that the bar offered casamigos too (nope lol; I drove). The food was absolutely delicious. My favorite was the lobster bisque, salmon, and potatoes! Yummy! The staff were all nice and professional. Overall, this appears to be a nice venue to have a special occasion.

She was responsive and helpful and went above and beyond our expectations. The food at both the cocktail hour and dinner were delicious. Our guests never wanted for a drink. Our guests were well fed and appropriately served through the entire evening. Ella was great and checked in with us often to make sure we did not need anything. Don't let the outside area fool you - the interior is beautiful, unique, and memorable! We added lots of string lights but it's the type of venue that does not need much to impress. The old wood floors and the artistic chandeliers add so much character. We honestly wouldn't have changed anything from the evening and would recommend without hesitation hosting a wedding reception here.

I even recall during the cocktail hour I was wondering this fact as the refills were plentiful. Now, the big shitshow of the night was the seating. I don't think I can put this on the venue however as I legit couldn't find a seat for myself at one of the tables! This is why you should have placement cards like at a wedding. (We were but elected to park our car in the lot) As soon as we arrived an attendant took my dripping wet umbrella & bagged it for me and set it in the umbrella holder. We were greeted with servers carrying trays of cocktails and wine. From what I understand the venue does not supply the wine but they do create the amazing appetizers and legendary meals. The appetizers kept on coming and coming, scallops wrapped w bacon, huge Japanese shrimp wrapped in a wonton thing, cheesesteak egg rolls, "green eggs and ham"- they were deviled egg filling dyed green on a tiny piece of toast with a tiny piece of ham, mini mussels with bacon, grilled salmon, mini steak tartar on a mini toast, and mini salads in a Parmesan cheese crispy "bowl". They had hot melted Brie with fig jam it was amazing along with a cheese table with seeded crackers. I would have been happy with just the appetizers. The entree we ordered was a splendid melt in your mouth filet mignon for my husband and a huge crab cake for me accompanied by mashed potatoes, and asparagus. Omg then after desserts which was cake and mini pastries served in a separate room downstairs. After the desserts they brought out curly fries and ketchup! The service from the staff was spectacular and everything, like the appetizers, was plentiful! We were treated like royalty. The young man, the wedding coordinator, kept everything moving and took control of the well paced event. They're obvious professionals with lots of experience executing these events. The roof was leaking during the event in one small spot and the rain was brutal that evening. The problem was solved with a plastic bucket on a rug. This probably just started this evening as the building seems to be very well taken care of.
