From the moment we walked into Union…read moreTrust for the first time while touring venues we knew this was where we wanted to get married. The building is an old bank that was built in the 1880's. It has so much character and the architecture is gorgeous. Perfect for an elegant, black-tie wedding. The first day we met with Chelsea who was bubbly, personable, and professional. She made sure everything went smoothly with negotiations and the contract. From then on, she did a fantastic job with communication throughout the next year leading up to wedding day (we missed her on the night of our wedding, unfortunately!). I really love how cocktail hour is on the 2nd floor overlooking the rest of the venue -- it makes for great views and great pictures. The venue comfortably held and accommodated our 125 guests. The food was also fantastic. I've had some pretty below average and mediocre food at weddings, but not here. For cocktail hour, Finley Catering offers 8 passed Hors d'Oeuvres (the steak tartare and lamb chops were the star of the show in my opinion!) and 3 stations (we went with a hot seafood station, a cold seafood station, and an Italian station). The offerings that came with each station were great and had remarkable variety. Lobster tail, crab claws, oysters, to name a few! The filet mignon entree was also one of the better filets I've had. Throughout the night we were treated so well by every single employee we encountered. Everyone that was working at Union Trust was respectful, gracious, professional, and would go out of their way to make us or our guests happy. From the night of our wedding still to this day, we had and still have friends and family members coming to us telling us how much fun they had. Comments to us about how beautiful the venue was and how spectacular the food was were common coming from our guests. I keep telling my wife to convince someone to get married at Union Trust so I can experience a wedding here as a guest. I couldn't have imagined a better day and much of that is thanks to not only my wife for all of her meticulous planning, but also to Union Trust and Finley Catering for being such an incredible venue. I am so happy and thankful we toured Union Trust and made the decision to have our wedding.

There was only one bathroom, and going up and down the stairs (in heels) got to be a huge hassle. After the ceremony ended, that room was closed off and everyone had to squeeze in the tiny entrance room for the cocktail hour. Once the reception started, everything was the complete opposite -- very spread out and separated, which wasn't terrible, but the major issue was the main reception room. Their were hardly any tables for such a large number of people and the dance floor was tiny. We made do and still enjoyed ourselves, but would have liked to eat sitting down at an actual table! Although this type of venue wouldn't be my first choice for a wedding specifically, it was still beautiful and if the layout doesn't bother you, the decor and feel of the place overall were perfect!

The space is an architectural gem-- you could put nothing in it and it's still absolutely breathtaking. As for the planning process with Cescaphe, it was as easy and breezy as could be. We were planning from afar in TN so everything besides our initial venue tour was done virtually. Devan was our 'concierge' who was able to keep us on track with the timeline and provide recommendations. She was always quick to get us answers to any questions and it was nice to have a dedicated member of their team to correspond with! At the 3-month mark we were handed off to Hannah who was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! If you have the honor of working with her, consider yourself so lucky. She was so responsive and on top of things, and her calming demeanor was perfect for the day of the wedding. Her attention to detail was also incredible. I think she picked up every single little thing I said during our calls. Our maitre d' was Mu who was equally as impressive as Hannah. I don't think my husband or I had an empty glass in our hands the entire night! Which is also the reason why I only made it to the bar once to see Tim, our head bartender, but from what I heard from ALL of our guests, he was great as well. All of our guests raved about the food-- the spread for cocktail hour, the entrees, and the dessert spread. Cescaphe really does have it down to a science! If you're thinking about Down Town Club, or I'm sure any of Cescaphe's other venues, I'd highly recommend it! My husband and I got married at Down Town Club on 7/12/25. I attended a wedding at the Down Town Club last week for a good friend of mine and I found the…read moreevent space to be very nice. The Down Town Club is located inside a very large building in Old City and takes up at least one floor. Once you're out of the elevator you are greeted by a giant glass table and a centerpiece. For the wedding, this table was used to hold the place cards, which informed you of the the table you would be seating at. Behind that table is a large hall with a few tables, a bar and some counters, which can be used to plate food and serve horderves. I suppose it could also be used as a simple waiting area. There is also a piano located i that area, which can be used to play some live music. The horderves, which were served were top notch. Some of my favorites included the lamb chops, lobster, shrimp and ravioli. I also loved how they had a full sushi bar along with some other traditional Japanese options including ahi tuna. The dinner and dessert was great as well. The dressing on the salad was very tasty and the filet minion was perfectly done. The dessert options here were out of the world. Mini-cupcakes, cannolis, funnel cake and more were all provided and they were all very delicious. The view of Independence Hall is absolutely spectacular as well. The Ball Room wasn't giant, but it easily held over 200 people without as if the room was, too crowded. The ball room was also quickly transformed from hosting the wedding ceremony towards become a place to hold a fun party. While I didn't use it, valet parking was available, which was a nice touch. Altogether, the Down Town Club is a very nice space to hold a variety of events including weddings!

Of course we had outside catering which you are allowed to do and the owner and Staff worked with getting me and my team of event Staff a seamless day into celebration at night of May 2. Luckly, another usher corrected her and said they are still letting people in, can you freaking imagine if they just turned people away that traveled hours away to attend? I get if even if you arrive late to say a baseball game the stadium security guard will wait for a pause in action to let you in but to be this mis trained when you're primarily function is to let people into the event just wow. Anywho, that is how the night started off. The Hor-devas were laid out in a way that an entire level of food was so high up on shelves people either didn't even see it or couldn't reach it. Btw, I am close to six feet tall, and I couldn't see the food. Now for the positive, they had ample amounts of food and on there website it even says its all inclusive so you do not have to pay for x amount of refills I am assuming which is very nice. I even recall during the cocktail hour I was wondering this fact as the refills were plentiful. Now, the big shitshow of the night was the seating. I don't think I can put this on the venue however as I legit couldn't find a seat for myself at one of the tables! This is why you should have placement cards like at a wedding. My gf and I left as soon as the dinner buffet was set up as I am not pulling up a chair to a table without a freaking plate setting. Also, I must mention the music was extremely loud. My gf had to put freaking ear plugs in. Very disappointing night but again I can't put all of the blame on the facility. I hope my cousin and his family enjoyed their night as I know I didn't. As always people SYOY!!!
