Just celebrated Valentine's Day and it was fantastic. 5 course meal with shrimp cocktail, Caesar salad, filet and gelato for desert. The special package even included a nice glass of wine. The meal was fantastic and the ambiance is also intimate and relaxing. I definitely can't wait to try a burger and their wings , they get rave reviews from my friends. Definitely recommend for a special occasion or large event. The wings are maybe the best I have ever had and I have had many wings. They are grilled with a dry rub and they can be sauced which I had the traditional hot. Wow I wish I had tried the wings long ago. The kielbasa egg rolls are like nothing I have ever had, their amazing. The cheesesteak egg rolls are also in the best ever category. Great selection of spirits and a fab staff! Like the review from Kevin for New Years Eve Dec 2024 we also were at 1720. The worst experience we've ever had at a restaurant. For $286 per couple there was an hour wait for drinks; and i mean ANY drink including water. For h'ors d'oeuvres there was a small table with pickles, olives, cheeses, store bought cookies, chocolates. Cheap baked savory pastries that looked like they were straight from the frozen foods in a supermarket. My husband's birthday is December 31st so this was a present to him also. What a disaster! We left at 9:30 because we couldn't even get drinks-not even water. Don't waste your time or money on this place. Everyone was complaining after realizing we had been taken!! read more

This place deserves zero stars. New years was 90 minutes in line for a weak drink. BORING,POOR QUALITY FOOD. Almost $150 for junk.

we were there last night for their New Years Eve event. it was absolutely terrible. They ran out of prime rib after 20 people got served. No vegetables, bread, butter. Also had to wait in line for an hour for a drink. The DJ played entirely the wrong music for the crowd. People were actually leaving by 9:30. Whoevever runs this place has no idea what they're doing. will never go back there for anything. Owners should be ashamed of themselves. read more

A very strange place. The food and drinks were actually pretty good, dry rub wings especially tasty. But the setting is pretty sad. Not the expected farmhouse setting, more like a weird ballroom out of the twilight zone. Looks like they now use the front of the house for parties and the ballroom as the "restaurant". Probably the WORST Mother's Day brunch I have ever had. The food was on 1 long line with the omelet & waffle maker at the end. This created such a back up that the line was ridiculous. By the time you got back to your table your food was cold. Dessert was ONE chocolate cake & cookies from Costco (nothing against Costco). I did not see anyone refill anything. They ran out of bagels, french toast & bacon within the 1st 45 minutes. I would never go there again. read more

Quirky place. Bar is situated in what appears to be a wedding venue. Staff is very friendly. We'll never return, though. My wife had a mixed drink that cost $25 !!!! Please note that LEGALLY speaking, these 2 vendors did nothing wrong (we've already had a lawyer review our contracts); HOWEVER, in terms of ethics, customer service, and morale, I feel the need to make this post. I have worked in the restaurant industry and tried to give these businesses the benefit of the doubt, but this didn't sit well with me. I got engaged on September 23rd, 2019. My now husband (Matt) and I were SO EXCITED to plan our wedding! We decided that we wanted to get married in the Fall of 2020 and eventually decided on a date of September 26th, 2020 at Nostalgia 1720 (Chalfont, PA). During the beginning of our wedding planning process, we were told by the owners of Nostalgia 1720 that we would need to make an initial deposit which was non-refundable in order to hold the date (totally understandable). In addition to this, they told us that their exclusive caterer was Piccolo Trattoria (locations in Doylestown PA, Newtown PA, and Pennington NJ). We got in touch with Piccolo Trattoria and signed a separate contract essentially stating the same thing about our initial deposit being non-refundable (still totally understandable). Matt and I signed everything with a huge smile on our face because, WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG? March 2020 rolled around and the whole world stopped. At this point in time, these restrictions were only meant to be implemented for 2 weeks. Little did we know exactly what we were cut out for. Policies were changing day-by-day and Nostalgia wasn't in control of them. The restrictions WERE NOT Nostalgia's fault as they were simply following state/federal guidelines. They told me that I could have my wedding there, but it would need to be outside and under a tent (1 wall of the tent would need to be open at all times; even during times of inclement weather), unsure if dancing would be allowed, and bathrooms would be up a flight of stairs, on a hill separate from the tent, with limited amounts of people being able to use them at one time (we invited elderly people who would have difficulty with this; also, this would be an issue in the event of poor weather). The more we thought about this, the more we realized this just wasn't going to work. I quickly emailed Nostalgia and told them that we made the decision to just have the wedding in my parents' backyard. At this point in time, we had given them a second deposit. We also said that we would choose another date in 2021 in case we would want to have a party in the future (I'll get back to this). I then quickly called Piccolo Trattoria and asked them if they could cater our backyard wedding. In our contract, we wanted to serve our guests a plated, sit-down dinner. The coordinator at Piccolo said that the only way this would be feasible would be for US to pay for an additional tent for the caterers, PLUS all of their kitchen equipment (grill, oven, pans, storage, you name it). She then said that it would "get expensive" to do that. At this point in time, we also had given them a second deposit. I basically told her to forget it and that we would contact her in the future for this later party we would have. September 26th, 2020 happened and we got married in the backyard of my childhood home. Once the day was over, Matt and I came to the realization that our day was perfect and getting married was all that mattered. In October of 2020, I told Nostalgia that we no longer wished to have a future party. I was polite (see attached emails) and asked them if they would be willing to give us our second deposit back if that meant they could keep the first one. They said yes ON THE CONDITION that another couple would book their wedding on our rescheduled date at the same, or more, size and we agreed. It is now July of 2021, and we FINALLY just heard back from them after multiple calls and emails that they booked our date for a lesser party size. SO, they took both deposits and did absolutely NOTHING for us. I proposed the same thing to the caterer: keep the initial deposit and we'll take the second. Their response? Here's a $500 gift card. read more

Love this little gem! In the front building, there is a small and cozy restaurant in addition to the event space they have. I'm not sure how well-known this is, so I hope people continue to discover it. Little 5-6 person bar with great and friendly bartenders, and a vast selection of food items on their menu (ranging from pub food like wings and cheesesteaks to upscale items like seafood and steak.) Great drink selection with lots of liquors to choose from. Good place for a seated dinner, or to just grab drinks and apps at the bar. Owners are very friendly too. I booked my wedding at Nostalgia for 2021 and I am so happy I did! They have been so accommodating around the ever-changing COVID restrictions. They strictly follow PA and county guidelines so I trust that me and my guests will be safe.
