We were given a tour after entering and shown to our room. The space was beautiful and cozy. Our room was beautiful and the Inn had champagne waiting for us chilled for my birthday. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and the freshly made cappuccino made it extra special. We had such a wonderful stay and will absolutely be back. Thank you for the hospitality!

The venue is so beautiful - with stonework, greenery, and a rustic elegance that encapsulates the feeling and the vibe of the area. As soon as I stepped onto the property, I knew this place was the one for us. Plus it is family-run, making it warm and welcoming. Every detail in their renovations and planning has been carefully thought out. We were able to have our welcome reception, wedding, and farewell brunch all at Fox Briar - which made logistics easy, and a handful of our closest family and friends at the Inn for the weekend. Donna made the planning process easy and kept everything running smoothly the day of. Kendall is an incredible innkeeper and made everyone feel welcome and cared for - and her baked goods are to die for! The Inn itself is super clean and comfortable - all the rooms are beautiful but the bridal suite in particular is gorgeous and truly special. It was a perfect set-up for our family and friends in every way, and we could not have asked for more. We cannot say enough good things about Fox Briar - thanks to Donna, Kendall, and Jeff for helping make our wedding such a beautiful dream! We can't wait to come back and visit for a stay at the Inn - maybe for our anniversary!

This historic location was a rest and play stop for literary and theater New Yorkers in the 20s and 30s and probably beyond -- check out the famous signatures and notes in the albums in the main living room. The owners keep a handful of rescued farm animals (pot-bellied pigs, mini ponies, goats), and it is clear they are well cared for. It is a busy place for big wedding events now, and so we like to stay during the week. It is very relaxing to walk around the grounds. We saw a giant heron in the pond and deer strolling. There are so many nice places to sit outside with a bottle of wine and a book or snacks. Rooms are very unique and comfortable. You have a lot of different personalities to choose from: lofts, cabins, barn spaces, etc. Many have jacuzzis which can provide your evening entertainment, lol. We have not eaten in the restaurant because our top restaurant on earth is very close by, but when it was closed, Josh gave us great recommendations. And he made a lovely tofu scramble for breakfast as a special request. One sweet touch: despite checking the room, we left without my spouse's expensive phone charger. Housekeeping found it and ran after us before we could drive off without it. She did not have to do that. Always tip your housekeeping staff. The extended Covid months have been very hard on inns, restaurants, and event spaces, and it must be stressful for them as things come back to life when so many events have been postponed. It is wonderful to be back out again. We will return -- a lot.

The Barley Sheaf is very serious about pandemic precautions, so masks are in full effect, and they'll walk you to your socially-distanced table in a beautiful, outdoor gardening setting. The inn itself is an architectural delight, as well, so you are surrounded by beauty on all sides. Service was pleasant and forthcoming. I wouldn't say that this is the finest level of dining, of course, you're not expecting EMP in the middle of Bucks County, but this is a good attempt, and people are pleasant and quite dignified. The guests were all well attired and the crowd is polite and kind. Food is of the adventurous character, which I enjoy. A lot of different flavor combinations (they like to do salé and sucré), beautiful plating, interesting textures, and good cooking techniques. My favorites were the octopus appetizer (so buttery soft and tender, which is a rarity) and the pheasant special, which was a pleasant and apropos surprise in this outdoor, country setting. Finally, this is a BYOB restaurant with perfectly selected wine glasses, fine silverware, and other special touches such as a freshly starched linens, etc. which elevate the dining experience.

Today you are greeted with a warm and non cluttered space as you enter and a nice atmospheric feeling in the dining room. The Chef has changed since that time too, bringing a fresh new and exciting menu to the table as well as a 7 course Tasting menu you can also try - we went for the tasting at $130 pp and it was well worth it. It would be too lengthy to try to describe each dish but all but one ( the Larchmont Farm Nectarine) was extraordinary. There is a very small cocktail/wine list now. The most expensive wine being around $50 or so. If you BYO, there is a $25 corkage fee. All the staff were very friendly and informed and described each dish as it was presented. We started with a prosecco from the Veneto and some nice appetizers. This was a five course menu preceded by cocktails. The ambiance was an older farmhouse and we sat at a long table with Gail our wine presenter/expert sitting across from us. There were approximately 18 guests. The kitchen was open for us to see and aromas were pleasant . The food was outstanding and we particularly enjoyed the pappardelle and Osso Buco my wife has some leftovers. The wines were perfectly paired and we really enjoyed them all. The Nizzi Barbera was notable. Service was great and Gail was excellent providing history and explanations of all the wines. The second pairing had a bit of an issue with a corked bottle but all was made right. The chef came out as each course was served to explain the dishes and their preparation. We will return when another wine dinner is offered. Mark & Nancy.

Aldie Mansion and the grounds are simply breathtaking! From the initial meeting with Kim Bates to the detail planning stages with Monika Zadroga, the entire process was fabulous. Monika stepped in after a small hiccup with the prior event planner and we couldn't have been more impressed by her attention to detail, walking us through each step and what to expect. She was extremely accommodating with some of the cultural components we wanted to add to our day! Aldie mansion and the entire staff were incredibly attentive and ensuring we had a stress free day! And the food - no words... our guests are still raving about it! Highly recommend this venue for a magical and elegant experience.

I imagine the mansion is not cheap to rent, but it was a wonderful spot to have a wedding. There are several unique spots outside the mansion to hold a ceremony, whether you prefer to have a fountain, flowers, or a huge oak tree in the background of your wedding shots. I'm not a fan of catered food, but the mansion's catering company was pretty good. I liked the mini burger appetizers and my beef tenderloin dinner. I really liked all the small rooms that we were able to mingle in. They set up the bar in the library and a photo booth in another room. Would recommend checking out this spot if you are looking for a romantic mansion near Philadelphia to get married at.

In my opinion the owner has no idea what he is doing. Our room had a filthy hot tub that we had to clean before we used it, a broken toilet seat, and broken glass panels at the back door, where the smell of the pasture and barn would waft in. We were allowed by one of the innkeepers, Joe, to go into the pasture and visit with the animals; however, we weren't told about Poe, the goat who tends to attack people (both my fiance and I experienced that firsthand). Even one of the wedding vendors admitted that she'd gotten bruises from Poe butting into her hip. I was accused by the owner of having had "too many mimosas" when I spoke to him regarding the issues I had (such as Poe being dangerous and a liability, especially to small children who could easily get into the pasture). I have an autoimmune disease and CANNOT have alcohol. My doctors can easily vouch for that. I had plain orange juice. To accuse me of that was rude, unprofessional and out of line. But what should I expect from someone who, instead of helping out with the Wedding Expo, was rolling around the pasture with his animals and their excrement for much of the time? And the so-called "Expo" was small. Very small. One DJ, no live bands, three examples of "sweetheart" tables, three examples of guests' tables, main courses that we couldn't taste, no option for a cash bar or alcohol-free, a tent that seemed like it was going to blow away since it was a windy day...It was very underwhelming. Just don't bother with this place.

From start to finish, they were calm, organized, professional, and genuinely kind--exactly what every bride needs on her big day. They also created our sweetheart table and centerpieces, and everything looked beautiful. The décor was exactly what I envisioned--elegant, simple, and just the right size and style. Even my mom couldn't stop talking about how perfect it all was! What really stood out, though, was how smoothly everything ran. When delays came up at the church, they kept things on time and stress-free. Multiple vendors--even the photographer!--told me how much they loved working with GBH. I truly don't think the day would've gone as beautifully as it did without them. I'll be recommending GBH Aesthetics to every couple I know (especially for weddings coming up in November and March)! Thank you so much for making our day unforgettable. once I have photos back from people and the photographer I will post the fabulous job GBH did with the centerpieces and sweetheart table, but even better than that was the peace of mind I had during the day. being a planner myself I wasn't sure if I needed a coordinator but it's now my #1 recommendation to any bride! it was so nice to allow my bridal party and family to enjoy the wedding instead of having them work it and that is something I will forever treasure in my heart.
