Since Sacred Siren closed suddenly I had to go elsewhere and had no idea what kind of jewelry I had in or needed to downsize to. Thankfully the ladies here barely batted an eye and helped me swap out for what I needed and sent me home with salt and instructions for a salt soak (Sacred Siren just had me doing saline sprays for a few months). The team here was shocked that Siren had me coming in 8 weeks after my initial piercing but said they'd follow whatever my original piercing said to do. I was initially nervous I was doing something wrong but I am glad I downsized when I did as I'm much more comfortable now. Soaking is a pain and I definitely can't do it twice a day but I will follow their instructions as much as I can for the next few months until I'm more fully healed. Place is pretty sparce with not a whole lot of jewelry to choose from. For some new bars and a jewelry change it came to be about $26. They honestly recommended going to Etsy for new jewelry which is what I did. I know they'd be happy to swap my next jewellry out in a few months but I'll just do it at home now that I know more of what's going on and what's in my body. They left me with my sizes and my old bars so I can purchase new items easily online.

He makes the tattoo process far more bearable even when it hurts. (Scheduling is calling between 2-4pm on the first of each month. If you forget or it fills up, you have to wait a month to try again! But don't let getting there and parking scare you because the quality, gorgeous space and professionalism these gals offer makes it worth it! The space is minimalistic, open, chic and tidy. Super hygienic and organized! The roomy studio is decorated with awesome furniture, art work and plants (loved the succulents). I absolutely adored the natural skylights, marble countertops and concept throughout the place. Another bonus: there's a cute mini fridge and beverages are offered. Since you'll be spending a couple hours or more in the chair let's talk about comfort. I loved the chair and was able to get in to comfortable positions even though it was quite big. My experience was nothing short of awesome here at the Feral Tattoo Collective. My artist Sarah took care of me from consultation to tattoo day - she's super sweet, honest and looks out for your best interests. She's a great conversationalist throughout all my moaning and groaning! What I really noticed was how chill and quiet my tattoo session was when we didn't talk. The tattoo gun was not loud/abrasive and music was not "blaring" like some other tattoo shops I've been to. It was actually very relaxing and I could have easily fallen asleep if I was laying down. Both Janelle and Sarah expressed that they really want to focus on a custom and personable experience for the client. My tattoo took about 2.5 hours, hardly bled (Sarah knows what she's doing and was super gentle) and looked fabulous when she was finished. There is distinct difference from when Sarah started the piece (fine) and when she had concluded leaving her personal point of view of me reflected on my arm (hammered). So painfully apparent, forever. Nope, will never forget Sarah. A friend with more tattoos than me was so sad for me after I told her the story. The issue is that Sarah's personal opinion/preferences/judgements trump her belief in ANY Artistic Integrity regarding her work. Pretty high horse to sit on. I guess Sarah considers herself Judge, Jury & Executioner for any one who has EVER DARE EAT A MERE MORSAL OF MEAT. What a complete joke.
