Morgan pierced my eyebrow, and I cannot speak more highly of both her and the shop itself! As someone who has an immense amount of sensory issues, the shop was surprisingly very quiet & not overstimulating in the slightest! Which, If you know anything about tattoo and piercing studios, they don't typically have an environment that caters to those with sensitives to extreme visual stimuli and loud music/talking- so I was relieved when I walked into Serenity and found that the vibe lived up to it's name!
I also really appreciated that Morgan's piercing area was private and closed off from the rest of the studio, so there was no danger of other clients or artists randomly wandering in and looking on- which, again, is a rarity in most tattoo/piercing shops, and something that I appreciated as someone who also suffers from severe anxiety.
Morgan is not only a super professional and extremely talented at what she does on the technical end, but she is also such a kind, empathetic person, which makes all the difference for me. Although I have many tattoos and piercings, every time I get a new body modification, my anxiety spikes. I generally know how to manage and deal with it, but usually it's an issue trying to get my artist to accommodate me or show empathy for the situation. I've been told by other piercers more times than I can count that I should just "go home and come back when you're sure you want this."
However, Morgan not only had the experience and talent to be able to work with my anxiety so that I could still get my piercing done, she still treated me like a human throughout it. Morgan was extremely understanding and empathetic throughout the whole thing, never once making me feel like I was burdening her or asking for too much in my accommodations to deal with my anxiety. And if anyone out there struggles with anxiety, you know that someone showing understanding makes it ten times easier to get a handle on our emotions and calm down.
Not to mention that Morgan FLAWLESSLY pierced me through an old scar from where my eyebrow piercing used to be over 10 years ago, giving me exactly the outcome I hoped for!
Overall, my experience with both Morgan and Serenity Tattoo & Piercing was extremely positive! I would recommend anyone come here, especially if you have sensory issues that other studios have been unable to accommodate, or any anxieties about getting body modifications- Serenity is absolutely willing to accommodate you, and will make you feel comfortable and welcomed throughout it all!
