    apple fritter

The raspberry filled donut was super flavorful and fresh! The apple fritter didn't have as much apple as I was expecting but still yummy. I would definitely go back to try more. The decorations inside are cute.

Stopping into this donut place yielded a small but appealing spread. I noted that a chocolate cream one was labeled as containing gelatin, which I wish were not used but I do at least appreciate when these things are labeled as there are a lot of things in desserts that create non-obvious dietary concerns. The berry-filled creation I ended up with instead was abundantly tart. There were beverage options but as a non-coffee drinker I decided do go elsewhere.

My favorite new addition to Charlottesville: the perfect friendly neighborhood donut shop! I am consistently blown away. These donuts are your typical favorite flavors, but they are so high quality and flavorful that you'll never want donuts from anywhere else in the area again. So far my favorites are the cream filled-- think Boston cream but stuffed _full_ of cream and with the most flavorful chocolate icing I could ask for; the maple bar-- glazed with a maple kick perfect for fall; and the apple fritter-- chunks of apple bursting with every bite. I'm eyeing the chocolate cake and vanilla bean glazed for next time, and the crumb bun! Don't sleep on their coffee either. Their PSL is *chef's kiss*. They're currently open every day of the week, and they get busy in the mornings! There is parking out front but it is limited. My go-to is to be there very early for the best selection. The decor is adorable, but there's not a lot of seating so you may want your donuts to go.

I absolutely loved this new donuts place! EVERY. SINGLE. DONUT. WAS. MASTERCLASS. The service was next level too as the cashiers even offered me a free warm donut to go with my 12+ I already ordered. While the price of the donuts is on the higher end you do get what you pay for and is a new must try in Cville.

Awesome little donut shop! The gentleman working this morning were very kind and these donuts are wonderful! The apple fritter is AMAZING.

I finally had a chance to try Sbrocco's and was very impressed! Charlottesville has been in need of a good community donut place since Spudnuts closed, and Sbrocco's is well on the way to taking up that mantle. They have a variety of both yeasted and cake donuts in a variety of flavors, including seasonal options and fritters, as well as a full service coffee counter (ask for the milk/flavor options if needed since they're not listed on the menu). The interior is small, cute, and clean. The staff are super friendly and happy to explain options, and the service is quick as well. Definitely come early, especially on weekdays, since they tend to sell out before the actual closing time! They update on their Instagram when this happens, so check there if you're unsure. I had a latte and a raspberry jelly donut. The donut was sweet and soft without being too greasy, and you could tell that it was filled with real raspberry and not just flavored goop. I'm not a huge donut fan in general, but this was a great way to start my weekend. Thanks Sbrocco's!

Cute little addition to the Fry Spring area. Definitely very popular and limited parking (there's like 10 spots in the front that is shared with other businesses as well). First off the Apple fritter here is a must get. I know this is a donut place, but the Apple fritter is ahhhmazing and honestly the best value (size to cost ratio). The donuts are fun, there is a nice variety and you can choose between cake and yeast. I also got a hot americano. Excellent. It was smooth and not bitter. Really good overall. Will be back! Oh also little tip: u can order ahead 48 hours if you got a big order!

My croissant tasted as though it was sourced from Costco; it had been heated up, which made it marginally palatable. I asked for a large cappuccino and got a drink that tasted as though a sugary syrup had been added to it. There was a huge volume of milk, which I guess was OK, and a small amount of OK-tasting espresso. The breakfast was convenient enough that I figured I'd go back for a second round the next morning. However, when I arrived at the coffee bar on Day Two, I was told that the person who would be staffing it was "running late" and that the croissants had not yet arrived. The front desk person found it in her heart to pour me some coffee from the huge urn at the coffee bar. I was grateful for the free lobby coffee but headed outside for my official breakfast. Outside was better.

There is a good amount of seating with two large shared-space tables and smaller circular tables, and there is free wifi access. The cafe offers coffee, tea, and draft options. I've only come in for coffee and tea twice and felt that it was overpriced for what you get. They only offer their iced drinks in the large option, and it's probably because the iced drink consists of 8-10 large ice cubes that take up a majority of the space of the cup. The iced chai and hot soy latte tasted good, but were standard. The food was kind of meh - I ordered a biscuit which was barely warmed up. Overall, an okay cafe (probably not my first choice to go to), but it will give you a caffeine fix if you need it.

It's my first time there and I missed the large option which is my mistake. Got like a small 12-16 oz cup. I asked if I could pay to get it as a large drink and the manager couldn't comprehend that all she had to do was void the transaction and I'd ring up the new drink and tip the baristas for the inconvenience. I'm not trying to make a service worker feel bad but it's on management to not be so stingy on just helping a customer. For $8-9 it did not feel worth the money and genuinely the customer service with some of these Asian boba shops are atrocious compared to the ones in Richmond like even Tsaocaa or Zen Cafe or in Nova like Teas N You I've been to owned by competent owners and workers that aren't incompetent. As usual, I'm looking for the best coffee roaster to go to, and Lone Light Coffee was on the top of my list in this area. The coffee shop is on the smaller side, but it was warm and comfortable. The baristas were nice and three of them gave me their input on which single origin I should choose for my pour-over. POUR-OVER - MKT Price +6.50 for Mohammed Aba Nura - Ethiopia (tasting notes: Strawberry, white chocolate, hazelnut) I wanted the craziest tasting option they had, and they recommended this one since it's pretty popular and well-liked among customers. However, one of the barista said he didn't really like it himself. I figured I should still try it. The sips I had while it was still warm was pretty juicy and sweet, but I really didn't like the notes once it cooled down (about 20 minutes later), which tasted sour and off-putting. I should have listened to that one barista and went with a different single origin option. Overall, good roaster -- just unfortunate that I tried something that wasn't for me. The baristas seem knowledgeable and passionate about their craft. I would love to come back next time and try another single origin offering.

I wouldn't recommend trying to get work done here during a busy time since it's not a huge space.
