    Duck Dozen

These donuts are good but not great. When the first opened it felt like this place was kind of revolutionary. But now it just feels like a normal boring donut shop. One thing that separates this from the pack are its prices. I mean $30+ for a dozen donuts? I get the price of inflation has changed the algorithm a little bit but I just can't ever come here again with that price point. I'd rather give my money to a small bakery that would charge that price and give twice the quality. Sorry not sorry. Do better duck.

The vegan options are awesome! They have them all clearly marked and even a sheet of yummy suggested combinations. There's plenty of parking and a little grassy area with a picnic table across the street to sit (plus a few tables inside). We had to wait a few minutes for them to make up more vegan mix but it was well worth it and service was friendly. Vegan cake donuts are hard to find so we were thrilled.

Duck Donuts is always good. Made to order by some great staff. The donuts are all made right in front of you and you can customize with whatever flavors, toppings, drizzles that you want.

I ordered the Duck Dozen (The fall assortment) including: Maple Bacon Beach Ball The Boardwalk S'mores Sand Dollar Chocolate Explosion Cinnamon Bun Midnight Madness Cookies & Cream Chocolate Caramel Crunch The Flip-Flop French Toast The donuts were hot and fresh, perfectly sweet yet not too sweet. I loved this assortment, they were not only aesthetically pleasing but so delicious as well. The employees were very welcoming and fast with my order. At duck donuts you're guaranteed quick and quality service. The atmosphere was nice, the only issue I noticed was that the tables could use a wipe down, otherwise perfect! I'll definitely be back.

Friendly staff in this college town of Charlottesville VA! It was National Donut Day when we stopped by and they gave us complimentary powdered sugar donut each on top of what we purchased: the Peanut Butter Paradise and Bacon at Sunrise flavors! All the donuts came out fresh and definitely tasted after preparation because the leftover batch we ate the next day was not as good. Still, this store deserves some good rating for friendliness and freshness!

The Duck Donuts in Charlottesville never fails to satisfy. All the donuts are freshly fried in front of you and you have the option with ordering one of their classics or making your own flavor combination. You get to choose a base, drizzle, and topping. My friends and I visited often and got to try a bunch of different combinations! My favorite however will always be the blueberry dip with a lemon drizzle and Oreo topping. Trust me it's worth it!

Duck donuts will always have a special place in my heart. Duck donuts in Charlottesville is almost too good to be true. So many customizations and delicious every time!

Loaded with bacon. How can it not be good?

While charging our car in the parking lot of the nearby hotel, my wife and I popped in here around 0930am on a weekday. We were the only customers in here which gave the nice ladies behind the counter plenty of time to explain how it works. They fry your donuts up fresh right in front of you with a fancy machine. Next not unlike at a sandwich place finishing your order, they dip, sprinkle and drizzle your donuts as requested. Takes only a couple of minutes. We ended up with a six pack including a chocolate iced, lemon iced, blueberry, French toast and two maple bacon sprinkled ones. The bacon ones were the best. How couldn't they be.

I've heard so much about Duck Donuts but never got a chance to go. We were visiting Charlottesville to go to an event when we noticed this shop the shopping center. First time there was overwhelming because i wanted to mix and match so many toppings but since we were in a rush, i decided to go with one of their featured donuts called the Werewolf. Service was friendly but i noticed the place could be a little cleaner than it was. As for the food, donuts were a bit greasy but good. I would be more than happy to go back to a local shop and try some other options as i didn't get a chance to check out everything they had to offer.

Meh. Overly sweet. Nothing is really fresh. Just a gimmick Chain shop. Woman seemed like she just wanted to close down.

My friend and I stopped by this past Saturday morning to grab coffee for ourselves and our other friends. I wasn't sure what I was expecting, but dang, Mudhouse is expensive. It shocked me to see DC pricing, if not more pricy. I was feeling a pour-over this morning, so I asked the baristas what they recommended since I was looking for their wildest offering. If I remembered correctly, they suggested one of their current single origins, Costa Rica - Finca Las Torres Honey Process (tasting notes: candied plum, red apple, honeycomb). The pour-over was $8, which is crazy. I should have just bought a bag of beans (which is 3x more expensive), and I would have been able to make 20 cups for myself. The pour-over was good though, bright and fruity, and I enjoyed drinking it even without a pastry. I picked up a different pour-over (also a single origin and was $8) and matcha ($7.75 for a small) for a couple friends. They both enjoyed their drinks (the matcha was very green and tasted legitimate) but thought it was more expensive than it should be. Overall, still a solid coffee roaster in the area with a homey and spacious interior -- just a bit too expensive for coffee and tea.

They had a nice selection of both iced and hot coffee, espresso drinks, teas, breakfast sandwiches, and pastries. I got a pumpkin spice latte and it was delicious. Would recommend if you are in the area!
