You can pick whatever combination of chocolate bars, sweets, biscuits, cakes and cereals, handmade fudge, jelly beans in your shake. Whipped cream for 40p if all this isn't enough. If you would rather have a traditional thick shake then this is also catered for - almond, blackcurrant, passion fruit, pineapple, peach and many more. Dairy free (organic soya milk and soya ice cream) is also available - they have thought of everything, which I am really pleased about. Alternatives are available if you don't want a shake, smoothies, solo juices and fusion juices are popular. Not bad prices, but if they were dirt cheap I would question the quality and also would be at least a stone heavier. So it keeps me from having too many of them.

This place is a bit of fun within the very refined surroundings it is situated in and is a great place to stop for a drink. The produce is actually very nice indeed and their smoothies in particular are very impressive. The place feels relaxed and a lot of fun which is exactly as it should be. The staff are very friendly and they are great at helping you choose if you are unsure and unlike some places they do not try to direct you towards the most expensive product. I really enjoyed my trip to this establishment and came away with a big smile on my face and in my eye that means that they've got the job done. If you have children then take them for the shakes, but if you are a big kid like me then you should check it out as well.

What a wonderful little restaurant this is, you absolutely must go if you're in Liverpool and want a nice meal. The interior is sort of a combination of funky and romantic, with dim purple lighting, cushions on which to recline, and a very small dining room. The menu is a hodgepodge of European influences, and it's the sort of menu that sounds like it could be quite average, but every bite absolutely transcends its menu description. Since it was my birthday, they wrote "Happy birthday!" on my placemat before we arrived which was quite cute. I'm very sad to not remember exactly what we got for each course, they had so many specials that aren't on their website! I think to start we had wood pigeon and the scallops, both of which were absolutely outstanding. I preferred the scallops (a special, I think) and my fiancé preferred the wood pigeon which was on the main menu. Each item was cooked perfectly and all the flavors of the dish mingled together beautifully - somebody in the kitchen knows what they are doing. My fiancé had beef and I had lamb for the main courses; both were tender and luscious. Though I've forgotten what we had for dessert, I know it continued to be wonderful as was everything that preceded it. The servers were friendly and informative, and the whole vibe of the restaurant was similar. We struck up a chat with the folks at two tables next to us, our whole side of the restaurant was talking to each other! It was lovely, a warm and intimate place where you feel like you can either enjoy a romantic evening for two or strike up a conversation with a stranger. Puschka is pricey, but for such wonderful, inspired food, I think it's absolutely worth it. A great place for a special occasion, or any time at all!

The decor inside is classy and modern also and you feel as though you are in quality surroundings and as such the food will be of a high standard. The most impressive thing about the restaurant is that they try to use local ingredients which is great to see and the menu is vast ranging from a rump of Lamb to Southport shrimps which incidentally I would recommend despite not being a fan of seafood . There are also great wines and a range of beers to be found also although nothing in Puschka comes cheap. This place is well worth the price and really is a niche within Liverpool's culinary ensemble so I would definitely advise the people of merseyside to try out Puschka.

Just as I thought that I was about to enter some Willy Wonka-esque trip down a childhood road of dreams I discovered this was really only a card shop opposite Asda. For all their signs offering Frederick's ice cream - who? - it was still only a stationery shop with a fridge and a few tubs of ice cream. People need to think on before getting sensitive chubsters like myself so geared up for treats.

A place like this is a nice change within the consumer scene of Liverpool, somewhere independent small and still managing to retain its' innocence. They do all the classic flavours aswell as some special one such as my favourite which is bubble gum an interesting fusion of flavours which shouldnt work but doesnt. The service here is excellent the staff care, which makes a fantastic change to the norm and in general here you are given a wonderful experience. Small and well run and fun for kids and grown up this place can tempt me at any time of year and the prices wont hurt your pocket either. It is such a delight to see a place like this which is open all year round and sticks two fingers up to the british weather and offers you a summery treat not matter what the season. Overall this place has got it spot on !

Myself and 2 friends visited Froyo&Joe last week (after absolutely loving the Yog Bar in Hoylake)…read moreand unfortunately we were very disappointed. We walked in and the décor seemed unfinished, very bare and empty. We walked up to the counter and, even though there were 2 girls, one was serving and one just stood there when there was 3 people waiting in the queue. The frozen yogurt choices aren't posted on their menu board so you have to ask what flavours are - this is no problem for an empty shop but when there are people waiting it does waste time, especially as many people like to decide when they are waiting rather than being put on the spot. The fro-yo itself seemed lumpy and not the same texture as the one we had at the Yog Bar. The chocolate buttons we had tasted off, the sauces that were advertised on the board 'weren't available as they didn't know how to work the machine' - nor were there any other sort of sauce as a replacement - and the toppings were so small it didn't seem worth the money. I was also rather disappointed that the initial cost didn't include at least one topping, instead I paid £3.45 for a medium tub and 40p for 2 toppings (it's 50p for every topping after that). The serving spoon for toppings was white plastic picnic desert spoons which don't hold much, meaning you would be lucky if you got more than half a cookie as a topping. We understand it is a new business to the area so please take this as constructive criticism (and we will re-visit in a few months) but Froyo&Joe didn't appear to be ready to be opened based on the service, shop front and product we received.

I love shops like this because they offer so much more variety than the dinky little ice cream vans that seem to hover everywhere trying to lure unsuspecting dieters into their clutches. This traditional ice cream shop has it all, so if you're after something nicer than the average, boring vanilla cone, this is a great place to go. And The Rock Shop is right next door, so if you want some fudge next ... well, you know where to find it.

What used to be substantial scoops now are pathetically small for the price you pay, the young ladies serving were not very welcoming and when politely asked if they had a particular flavour (which they used to have) the answer I got was a sullen "no". The most alarming thing however was the hygiene in delivering the cones. No gloves were worn when handling the edible cones and money had been handled. How are customers to know what else these serving hands had touched before handling this food? There is a very upmarket ice-cream parlour a few yards away which is getting a lot of custom and I would have thought that The Ice Cream Shop would be doing everything in their power to encourage customers. Needless to say I will not be going there again.

I'd like to think that philosophy is transferable when it comes to Mancunian foodies. You see,us North Westrians are lucky to have sibling cities such as Chester and Liverpool within half an hour's drive. I therefore make it my business to travel within this foodie heaven golden triangle as often as I can. On one such trip over the Easter weekend I stumbled upon this magnificent establishment. Wow. Mama Mia. Chamone. Superlative overload. Even Belissimo doesn't seem to cut it! We live in a world of monotonous corporate food chains. Yes, in twenty year's time Paolo & Donato's may well be one of those chains, such is the inevitability of expansion. But for now here it is, in all its glory. It was an absolute pleasure meeting Paolo the main proprietor, it's difficult to miss him actually. Wearing a genuine warm smile, his approach to greeting customers was more family like than business orientated. When you first visit this may seem a little strange, a bit like those overzealous fake smiling employees at Selfridges who ask you if you need any help every 2 minutes. (I can say that, I used to be one) Not the case here, the staff are extremely helpful and attentive. Love and affection oozes from the place. From the meticulously decorated deli counter, to the large family portrait that adorns the wall. I may just have found THE Italian go to place in the entire region. That coming from someone who hasn't even tried any of their food. No, this was just a quick pit stop for some ice-cream. Not just any ice cream folks, this was home madelicious, the good stuff. I chose a flavour I hadn't tried before, it had an Italian name that escapes me, but I'm here to report it was arguably THE most refreshing and tasty thing I've had for a long time. The sandwiches and pastry desserts looked and smelled heavenly and I have no doubt the taste buds won't be disappointed when I return to sample them. Keep an eye out for a more extensive review after my second trip. I did do my best to all but beg Paolo to open his next Deli in Manchester. He seemed very agreeable with the idea. Hallelujah P&D's is coming to Mancytown! Don't believe me? Next sun sponsored weekend, get in ya car and go check this place out peeps. You won't be disappointed, me promise!
