Prior to signing, we were explicitly told the unit would be professionally cleaned and move-in ready. When we received the keys, that was not the case. The apartment required extensive cleaning, and we ultimately had to hire professional cleaners ourselves after receiving little meaningful remediation despite repeated communication. Since move-in, we have dealt with a long list of unresolved maintenance issues, many of which were documented immediately upon occupancy, including: - a nonfunctional washing machine with standing water and visible mold - a nonfunctional microwave - exterior openings allowing animal activity in the walls/ceiling - a broken mailbox lock (mailbox doesn't close at all) - missing window screens - multiple additional maintenance and safety concerns We are now nearly a month into the lease and all of these items still remain unresolved. To be fair, Michelle eventually stepped in, acknowledged that our move-in experience fell short, and approved a partial rent credit toward the cleaning expense, which we appreciated. However, the overall experience has still felt highly reactive rather than proactive, with much of the burden of coordination falling on us as tenants. The most frustrating part has honestly been the lack of preparedness and follow-through. We understand that maintenance issues can happen, but a unit should not be turned over in this condition after repeated assurances that it was move-in ready. We are hopeful the remaining issues will ultimately be resolved, but wanted to share our experience candidly for anyone considering renting through this management company.

    I am very unsatisfied with the service that I received from the homeplace mortgage. About six…read moremonths ago, my wife and I begin our search for a forever home. We begin speaking to one of the women in the office, who didn't necessarily answer all of our questions or concerns or walk us through the process of how to start our journey. However, she was in quite a rush to get my Social Security number and all of my information to see where I "stood" for buying a home. Well my wife and I decided to go with another company that we were more satisfied with and just recently home place mortgage after 6+ months of not speaking to anybody from this company or their realtor they used they decided to reached back out to me and decided to pull my credit on their own and now they're telling me there's nothing they can do to help me fix my credit now that they had dropped it telling me I have to file a complaint with each one credit bureau by myself instead of them fixing a mistake they made. I understand mistakes happen, and things may get lost in translation, but I never permitted them to rerun my credit, nor was I notified that they would. I am very upset and hope this helps someone who my been in my shoes.
