Cool spot! The ambiance is really awesome! Visiting from out of town and read reviews about how cool the happy hour was, hand crafted cocktails and specialty beer. They are in between menus so the 2.50 off specialty menu is out of the question! We asked the bartender for their special drinks and they couldn't serve us them because they didn't have a menu. read more

we had a terrific time here. We showed up for the cocktails and the bartender was amazing, I had the most incredible house drink. My husband had a martini. we really wanted to go upstairs, but they were having a private party so we hung out downstairs and ended up meeting some folks at the bar and had the most wonderful conversation! I can't wait to go back and check out the rooftop and hang out more. I had my heart set on some of the waffle fries, but I wasn't hungry. Darn those looked great! read more

Love love love this bar. If I was a local I might not tell you that this is a fantastic date spot on weeknights but since I'm not...bring that boo! The cocktails are fantastic. One of my favorite and best bars in downtown Phoenix. I've been coming here since 2019. Really proud of their success and how they have blossomed throughout these years. Sazerac is known for their drinks, cigars and great vibes. The service also never fails - we love Marc, he makes the best drinks! Food truck opens after 5 pm, I recommend the quesadilla and tacos. read more

Drinks are good, easy going crowd here. Pricing is about average for downtown bars. There is a smidge of downtown attitude which is funny as hell considering I've lived in Phoenix over twenty years and there was not much of anything to do back then and you needed to pack heat to walk at night. So I chuckle when I meet people that say I live downtown. I'm like go on? Lol The staff is hit or miss. My last visit I had a staff member cut in front of me at the well to wipe down the counter. Not sure what the deal was with that. All in all a fun place to go amongst various downtown venues read more

We had a bar we wanted to try last night but there was a huge line out the door so we decided to try sazerac instead as we walked past it. Glad we did! It is a cool inside/outside bar. Love that they have the food truck. I was wanting a fancy cocktail, so we looked on the website and the drink I got had no name by it so we just showed the bartender the picture and asked what was in it haha. My drink had mezcal and blackberry, I don't remember what else, but it was really delicious. My husband got a beer. Bartender was attentive even with the big crowd. They had some fun music choices here too! read more

Fresh, hip, alternative. There's a baby grand piano! This place is full of a good mix of people- younger crowd, well dressed, good music. The bartenders are attentive and offer fast service. This place has an overall cool, swanky vibe. They've got an excellent beer selection. 30+ beers on tap, plus all the liquor you desire. They've got a patio - it's a secluded more quiet area. Peeps are puffing stogies out there and jamming. Patio is dog friendly and they have a little taco food stand out there as well as another bar for drinks. Check out the bathrooms - they've got some vintage adult magazine cut outs plastered all over the walls. They're interesting, pique your curiosity, and can be graphic. Check them out! read more

If you want to have a night "by any means necessary"... this is the spot! You can start your night here or end it here. Either way, you'll be super happy. From the beautiful ambiance to the friendly, skilled bartenders, to the indoor outdoor options, the cigar service, the fun people, and the very, very, very tasty food truck that's ALWAYS parked outside... this place will not let you down. I like to sit outside, enjoy the weather, meet new people, have a few drinks, and order plenty of food. This is the first place I take my friends when they visit. If you're looking for the closest thing to a beer garden in Phoenix, Sazerac is it! The outdoor vibe is super laid-back, with string lights and spacious seating that make it the perfect spot to enjoy a casual night out. Service has always been super attentive and they even have free water, which is a thoughtful touch, especially in this Arizona heat. There delicious cocktails and munchies are just one element to the bar where you can also buy cigars right at the bar. It adds a unique feel to the whole experience, and pairs well with their excellent drink selection. The overall vibe is relaxed but stylish. BARTENDERS TRY TO HUSTLE YOU BE CAREFUL... went is this weekend asked for 3 house margarita priced at 8 dollars... when i got the check it was priced at 36 i immediately saw the discrepancy with the total amount brought it to the attention of the bartender and his response was "well you didn't say sazarita" HOW ARE YOU GOING TO ACT DUMB KNOWING SAZERACS IS KNOW FOR THEIR BOMB MARGARITAS ... batender was rude and dismissive do not spend your money there read more

First time here. A local suggested this place, we showed up around 11pm and instantly smiled and felt it was a cool place as the atmosphere was lit up with music and happy people. It was also Karaoke night so that was entertaining! The bar had a huge selection of tequilas and to our surprise a great selection of craft beers! Got our drinks went out to the patio that has plenty of seating options. We could smell then saw the taco truck and had to try it. The chicken taco's were OUTSTANDING! Just the right amount of spice and a little charred flavor mixed with a pico, cheese and guac were perfection! My taco standard is higher now! (this made up for the disappointing experience at Guy's Kitchen near the ball park earlier in the night!) I will be back as I know there is more to discover here! read more

Went to this place for a friend's birthday The food outside was amazing and so was the young man running the food truck my biggest complaint was the bartender he was rude did not care to help and treated my party of 8 like we were bothering him I wouldn't ever go back because of the bartender service cigar selection was okay but again the bartender made it clear he did not care to be helpful read more

I've been to a ton of cocktail bars around Phoenix, and this is definitely up there. Between the 7 people in our group, we tried a bunch of the drinks and not a one disappointed. Definitely try the gin sage gimlet and the mezcal drink, pictured here. The latter was the collective favorite of the group. The Milli Vanilli was also delicious if you want dessert in the form of a cocktail. Looks like they also do some love music which is awesome read more

First time in. Street parking only. Semi-classy environment with expensive drinks. Indoor and outdoor options. Small menu snack food available, also expensive. Clean bathrooms, smut art and newspaper decor. A fairly interesting place. The crowd seemed down to earth, although fully-clothed. Everyone was doing their own thing. Unsure if any activities happen here; couldn't find an events calendar. Stiff drink prices for textbook craft cocktails. It's not snooty, but $14 for a four ingredient drink, really? I thought that was just bartending. That being said, they seemed to have a decent beer and cider menu. Still $8 for one beer. We came downtown for dinner and drinks, and out of the three places we went, this was the best. I'd love to like this place more, but ... ? read more

This is one of the most beautiful bars I've seen. The bartender were especially easygoing and friendly, the cocktails were made very well. There's plenty of space, and beautiful lighting in the outdoor courtyard, where they also have a food vendor serving during certain hours. This is a great place to go for a well made drink and good conversations with friendly staff and crowd. This placed saved the night after a first stop at cobra barcode around the corner which was dark, sticky, crowded, uncomfortable, and the bartender that served me was horrible and surly. Oh and check out the ladies bathroom girls! Cool newspaper decorations are on the walls in the stalls. read more

Everything about this place is five stars, except the wait to get a drink. Friends and I stood around in line for ten minutes and it wasn't because of anything the bartenders did wrong. I'd still say it's worth it, even on a crowded Friday night. I had the sage gimlet and it was the best cocktail I've had in Phoenix, and for less than $10. I tried a sip of a friend's smoking berries and it was also good- tastes how it sounds. Another time I'll actually try a Sazerac- I heard rave reviews. They don't seem to have much of a food menu, so don't expect to come here for dinner, but they have a lot of liquid options. The best part of this place is the spacious outdoor patio. Even if it's cool at night, they have good heaters and a great atmosphere. Inside is a little loud but outside works very well for hanging out and actually talking to your friends instead of yelling at them. The crowd the place attracts seemed reasonably varied in age, from early twenties groups to middle aged couples. Time will tell if it leans more one way or the other after it's been open longer, but I don't see why anyone wouldn't want to go here. Its only drawback is that it's not a particularly well kept secret for Friday nights. read more

I've lived in downtown Phoenix for nearly 5 years. I frequent several of the surrounding bars and restaurants ... this place used to be staple go to but has severely gone down hill. The vibe is not welcoming and the staff are ego maniacs. It's gotten worse over time. Recently friends and I went there on a slower evening and the staff seemed almost annoyed to be there. Friends and I ordered a round of drinks and we stepped outside for a conversation. We went back in and got the next round. While ordering I interacted with 2 women at the bar. We had a fun interaction and I rejoined my friends. Eventually went back to the bar to close out and one of the bartenders quickly came around from the back of the bar and said " you have to leave". I was completely puzzled and asked him why, he said "they don't want to talk to you". Unbeknownst to me, apparently who I interacted with (which I thought was fun light hearted interaction) wasn't what it seemed... I said "that's fine I have no problem not talking to someone I'm just curious why it didn't seem that way from them and why I would be asked to leave for having a conversation with someone" After a short interaction the bartender turned bouncer seemed surprised I was reasonable and nice to him and said he would "let me stay" but not to talk to the 2 women i earlier had a short and (from what I thought) pleasant get to know you conversation... however we ended up leaving shortly after anyway... This is a specific experience but many of the interactions with the staff and the vibe in the place have been similarly awkward and distasteful. I highly recommend several other locations in the area which are much more inviting and the staff don't make it their own little popularity contest to dictate "who" you can and can't talk to. It's one thing when you're making away around a room, you won't get along with everyone, and if your even single and looking to flirt you don't win every interaction... but when the staff threatens to kick you out for taking to someone, that's just ridiculous . read more

This bar is one of my college favorites. Located in downtown, it boasts some of the most memorable ceilings coated in a sparkling lighting. They make a mean Long Island Iced Tea and in general have great drinks. The bartenders go as fast as they can, but it can get crowded so just tread lightly if it looks out the door. read more

Abel is the best bartender at any of the gay clubs I go to- he's always been above and beyond overall. I had a pretty bad night a few weeks ago and he was extremely accommodating and sympathetic. Made my night that much better. Always remains one of the reasons that this is my favorite spot to hang out on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday. This guy is GOOD. read more

Many bars are starting to re-open in Downtown Phoenix and I'm glad Sazerac is one of them. We ordered the Smokin' Berries and it was delicious, and perfectly smokey! They also have a taco cart on the patio that makes some of the best quesadillas I've had in a long time! Perfect food to snack on with their unbelievable cocktails. Can't wait to go back soon! read more

Custom craft cocktails, dim lighting with artwork, and more make it feel like an upscale NYC spot in your basement. I did 2 of my favorites, Paloma De Guayaba with the custom block name etched and the Baya Nueva. While in the Cantina, I had to order my friend the Basura (trash), but that wasn't the case... then again, it is served in a plastic bag, and is definitely a throwback to my early 20's of gettin' lit!!!! It felt like a place that may be a bit of a victim of its own success--popularity has grown, but delivery hasn't fully kept pace. Part of the appeal here is the permanent taco truck outside, which I know from past visits is excellent, and I love the truck's outspoken, unapologetic support for immigrants. That said, the cocktail itself was excellent. I was specifically looking for a coffee-based drink before heading to another event, and the Cambures al Estilo Foster delivered on flavor. It was tiny, though--served in a small stemmed glass, gone in a few sips. It did the job, but some may find the portion underwhelming for the price. No major complaints, but nothing pulling me back either. I'm adding a fourth star on a bit of a hunch--I'd like to think they can dial it back in if I return.

The flight was 4d in that it moved like a real airplane. They then come around for martini cart service. They shake it in front of you so we had to try the dirty martini togarashi. It was super unique and perfectly salty. We then got the chilte taco which was good but nothing special. The dessert however was amazing! It tasted like a cheesecake. We then "landed" - it was faster than I thought, as it's 1.5 hours but settling in and getting everyone inside takes a while. The bathroom was a cool airplane looking bathroom, but huge. The downside was that it was quite pricey, and the train bar has a booking cost but it goes to your drinks so I'll likely do that before coming here again.

They mentioned the option to upgrade the reservation to a $100/person meal option which I declined. After we were seated small bites were passed around the plane. We noticed every table received it, so I truly thought it was part of the standard experience. It wasn't until the 3rd round of small bites went around that I realized we will probably be charged for the full service experience (which we were). Because this was a new experience for us, my suggestion would be to confirm the experiences with our table prior to passing around offerings. We aren't familiar with what to expect, so we didn't know it wasn't standard until it was too late. Otherwise, we had a great experience!
