Carpe cheesem!
Lee Ann R.

My husband and I had a great lunch at Say Cheese! It's definitely worth the short drive from Albuquerque. I had the Berry Cheesy Affair, turkey on brioche with havarti, cream cheese, and cranberry sauce. It would have been good without the cranberry sauce, but that tart-sweet acidity took the sandwich to the next level. Fantastic! My husband had an Oink and Cheese with Gouda, bacon, bacon jam, and crispy onions on sourdough. I enjoyed the bite I had and he had no difficulty finishing the rest. We both chose mac and cheese for our sides. It was a nice blend of tender pasta and savory cheese sauce.

Had the Oink & Cheese combo with tots and a drink - it was so good! There's the classic cheese sandwich vibe, and then the bacon and onions say hi, followed by a delightful bacon jam. The sandwiches are made right before your very eyes by the extra-friendly staff. I highly recommend stopping by!

Worth the drive!! I am lactose intolerant and I was ready to risk it all... no regrets. It was all delicious but the Mac and cheese is a must. It was creamy with perfect amount of cheese and spices. The grilled cheese was crispy with a unique blend of cheeses.

Cannot recommend this restaurant enough! Everyone working was super nice and just lovely! The food is absolutely delicious and worth the drive from Albuquerque and beyond! The restaurant is decorated super cute as well. We didn't know about it until our last few days in the area but will definitely be back when we are back in town!

I was about halfway through my very tardy "Sixth Annual First Quarter Odyssey: 1-country/2-states,…read more09-23APR2023", and had just had a superb overnight at the outstanding High Country Lodge. I spent most of the previous day cycling East from amazing Quemada on US60, so a refreshing/regenerating overnight was essential. Obviously, I needed an equally refreshing/energizing start and this cafe--now named "Evetts" (formerly Espresso)--was the absolutely the BEST place to start! Besides unique/fresh/nutritious meals, I was almost shocked and delighted to learn that affogato was available. When biketouring/travelling, this is one of the greatest morning treats I've ever had--not only plenty of needed caffeine, and (¡probably unneeded!) sugar. I enjoyed other filling dishes before continuing my Eastern direction on US60 to SocorroNM. I didn't cycle away immediately--Magdalena is such an attractive/"unknown/undiscovered" community in which the history lives on with the structures restored/repurposed! The abandoned tracks have a great roadbed waiting for more full development/hiking-biking trail for use by locals and long-distance enthusiasts alike. ¡This is such a tremendous community, and I look forward to returning--I'll plan to stay at least TWO nights for a full experience! It definitely has my coveted "iWheel of Approval!" ¡Highly recommended'
