The little store has just about anythimg you could need, from tools to shampoo to fresh ground beef, with all sorts of local memorable displayed throughout. After wandering around the enchanting plaza from the Spanish colonial period, with its very informative displays of local political history (on the north side) and local military history and tributes to fallen heroes (on the south side) we popped our heads into Baca House Brewery but were told they weren't serving alcohol that day, so we went to Box Canyon Brewing and asked if they were dog friendly. Their answer was "if your dog is friendly, we are dog friendly." So we say down and ordered a pint, and several customers came over to pet our then-6 month old husky mix pup. We each ordered a sandwich (I don't remember the specifics) and got a plain unseasoned hot dog without a roll for the doggo. The staff was very pleasant, and the customers were friendly and chatty. They had some very funny signs on the walls that made my wife and me laugh. We will happily return when staying overnight or passing through Socorro again.
