    Original Ahi Tower!
    Katie Jo H.

This is the second time I have eaten here and when I am in Denver, it will be a must stop from now on!! I came about a year ago and had the ahi tower, it was absolutely amazing and today I returned and just had to get it again! I usually ALWAYS try new stuff but it was just so delicious and I knew I'd be sad if I didn't get it. It is a rice tower topped with spicy tuna, spicy crab, avocado, ahi pieces and crispies! It literally melts in your mouth, and all the different flavors and textures are 10/10!! I ordered the miso soup this time to start and it was the best I've ever had. Not too salty and full flavor, highly recommend! The service is always great and the staff is always so kind and friendly, I adore this place!!

I absolutely love coming here, any time of day! I now come so often they know my order! Sashimi, miso soup, a roll or poke bowl it's all delicious! Nothing you can go wrong with here! It's always clean and tidy, and the staff are amazing!!!

Soo good. I like my rolls saucy & complex. Reasonable prices. Good rice to sushi ratio Super chill environment and ample parking. Service was nice too

This is a hidden gem tucked away in a plaza. The store is clean and small. The staff were friendly and attentive. The sushi was fresh and delicious. You can taste the quality of the fish. It's a great place overall. They give a generous amount of fish in the rolls and for the sashimi. I enjoyed the snow white and gangsta roll! The miso soup was tasty and flavorful. This place is reasonably priced and offers excellent quality. I definitely suggest going if you are in the area.

This is our go to restaurant for California roll when I'm on the roll with my daughter. Pick up service is always prompt and the front staff is always friendly. Good price for the amount of food you get.

Must have been an off day. I ended up trying this place out because of the raving reviews but quickly was disappointed after my first bite. I would assume maybe everyone loves this place because it's very affordable but unfortunately every bite I had was chewy which sushi should never be it should melt in your mouth. When I don't get that i personally feel like that tells me everything I need to know. A lot of imitation fish going on here which I'm not a fan of at all. If you're more of a specialty roll person then you may like this place they have more options than I've seen anywhere else! Service was good, environment is awesome but the food fell short for me and my sister.

I work super close and it could be dangerous. My fiancé and I stopped by because we were hungry. And we ordered a few rolls. They were so good. I forgot exactly what we ordered because we were so hungry. For it being right there. I will definitely be back. And we enjoyed our rolls. My fiancé said they were really good. And I definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Really enjoyed this spot with my friend for a quick snack. Perfect amount of food to get two rolls for both of us, and they were really good! Made it easy to order gluten free- even when my friend chose a non-gluten free roll, our server was super accommodating and helped make changes so that she could get what she wanted. The spicy Mayo sauce was fab, and I really enjoyed the same sauce on my vip roll. Loved the addition of the mango in the Hawaiian roll she had ordered. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for some fresh and unusual sushi!

Stopped in during the day for lunch and we were pleasantly surprised. Great rolls, gyoza and sashimi! Everything was very fresh and tasty. Reasonable prices and really cute inside. I highly recommend. They are in a strip center off of Colorado Blvd. we ate so quickly I forgot to take photos of the great food!

If I could rate more than 5 stars, I would! I visited with my husband during the soft opening for lunch on a Saturday. There was only one other group in the restaurant. Staff were very friendly and wearing masks. Hand sanitizer was available. The man who seated us explained the menu and offered recommendations (do yourself a favor and order Hello Venus!). Both of our rolls were astounding. The pieces are just the right size and are incredibly flavorful and fresh. We are happy to have this restaurant nearby and will definitely be visiting again!

Wow. Stopped in for a quick bite here a couple of weeks ago. The roll selection here is incredible folks and it took me longer to pick a roll than it did to actually eat it! . The Like a Virgin roll was to die for! This roll has it all! Tuna, crab, and shrimp, and the crispy rice crunch on top was a nice touch. This roll was fresh AF! I am pleasantly surprised by all the rolls here! Fire Blast roll is spicy hot. Spicy tuna, jalapeño, with the Sawara habanero sauce. Why wouldn't it be hot?? The sauces at Sawara are on point. Sawara Habanero on the Fire Blast and Chef Lai sauce with spicy Mayo on the The Like a Virgin we're both excellent. I was disappointed they were out of the baked green mussels when we came in. Fried gyoza was delicious. Very nice "fry" on the pork gyoza. Lightly battered and airy with juicy pork inside. I love stumbling on these gems in random strip malls and rest assured, when I'm in that neighborhood again, I will definitely stop by!!

I have been to Sawara at Castle Rock and Springs and tried new Denver location as they have 30% off promotion right now and the food were all equally very delicious. The Sawara at Castle Rock and Springs were very busy, I think Denver location will soon be packed as well so try them out now while they have promotions and still not too busy yet. I highly recommend Hello Venus, Crunch, Drunken Tiger, Amazon, Tuna Attack. If you plan on dining in, you have to try the Sweet Dreams, Hot Shot and Super Lava. They are the best tasting rolls I have ever had!! You won't regret it. Price is also very amazing!!!

She made the first time experience for my friends effortless and less confusing. They were out of cucumbers and avocados though so that kind of sucked. Not a big deal though. The meal was great and we had a lovely time. Oh and they had 2$ Sapporo! Your first 3 were 2$ I think. So good from the tap! Considering the only other US location is in California, I was surprised and knew this would be my opportunity to try it! The aesthetic is modern & elevated with Japanese wooden features. I got 3 classic dishes which was just the right amount of food. I honestly recommend coming with a group to try more items since you know everything will be delicious. The Yellowtail Jalapeño is a signature dish; the yellowtail was delicate & buttery and the citrus soy with the bight of jalapeño made each bite clean, bright, with some subtle heat. I did not expect the Rock Shrimp Tempura to be that good! The shrimp was lightly battered & fried but the sauces were the highlights! Their creamy spicy is a very well-done spicy mayo but the butter ponzu was unreal! Super addictive, rich, and unlike any sauce I've had before. Shout out to my waitress for suggesting getting both sauces on the side rather than lathered on the shrimp, which also kept it crispy. Last but certainly not least is the famous Black Cod! The fish is super buttery and flaky; there were some caramelized edges from the miso glaze which added so much depth & richness to the bite. It's a good balance of sweetness, savoriness, umami that is bound to be good. All in all, so grateful I got to try what many call an institution and will certainly try more of chef Nobu's restaurants.

I'm familiar with the Nobu chain of restaurants and understood that this would be similar. We were…read morea party of four that were celebrating a birthday. We ordered Omakase style. Some of courses were delicious and some were mediocre. We spent almost $700 for a party of four. The situation that needs the most improvement was the pace of the meal. The courses were separated by a 20-30-minute wait time. Considering that the courses were very small and contained 5-6 pieces for a party of four... that equates to a little more than a small bite every 20-30 minutes. The dinner took 2.5 hours to develop, and we were honestly still hungry by the end. The waiter started asking us if were "still hungry" at about the fifth courses. By the end, we felt awkward in asking for more. The wagyu beef was particularly disappointing as the beef was somewhat chewy, lacking taste and small. Waiters seemed to be near their capacity of workload. Didn't really take the time to serve, walk you thru the menus, keep the service moving or even gauge your level of satisfaction. We ordered dessert to celebrate the birthday. Apart from a small chocolate plaque on the dessert that said, "happy birthday", there was no attempt to celebrate the occasion as other less exclusive restaurants do... no "happy birthday" wish, no courtesy dessert... nothing special. The best part of this meal was by far, the young couple that accompanied us. Friendly advice: if you want to impress a client with something the feels exclusive... this may be the place. If you are looking for amazing food, being pampered and feeling your money was "well spent", try another place. I don't plan to visit this restaurant soon.
