I ordered a meal from Oak 36 Bar and Kitchen at approximately 4:45pm, definitely before 5pm. At the cost of just over $56, I ordered a Savannah cheesesteak sandwich with fries and a pizza. Needless to say, it wasn't inexpensive, but I was wiling to make the purchase because my son was celebrating a milestone, and that cheesesteak sandwich is his favorite. We were going to go to the restaurant but opted to stay home. At 5:20pm the order is waiting pick up. Over an hour later, at 6:30pm the order finally arrives. Sandwich and fries were completely soggy and cold. Pizza was also soggy. I had to put it in the oven to crisp up. Dominoes would have been better and cheaper. According to the driver, she had to sit in traffic on I-95. I live near downtown Savannah, and this restaurant is in midtown. Why is she coming from I-95? I am assuming they are short on drivers. I reached out to SAVtakeOut several times. I even called Oak 36. Finally SAVtakeOut answered, and she said that she needed to speak with her supervisor about a refund. I must have called 15 times. Buyer beware that there delivery service may not be prompt. Food may sit for awhile. This isn't a "boutique" delivery service. Just order from one of the other mainstream services. Also, restaurants be weary of using a delivery service that is not up to par. It hurts your reputation as well. The buck stops with you. read more

We ordered a big, expensive ($145) meal last Sunday (2/11/24) and left instructions for the driver to either knock or text when the food was being delivered. We left those instructions on two different places on the webpage for the order. The front door of our rental is right on the sidewalk. We waited and waited for the delivery and it just wasn't coming. Finally, a neighbor knocked at the door and informed us that the food was on the ground outside our door. He saw it when he left for an errand and it was still there when he came back. Our food was cold. So disappointed. We waited for a followup from SavTakeOut asking how the delivery was, and that never came either. Last time for this service. read more

When I called to order from ToGo Dish, I had specific requests to make my Marine happy including to enclose a note from us congratulating her :) I asked "Krista" how she manages with that many people, to ensure the food would be in good shape? We knew we were ordering ribs from Big Joe's but Krista steered us away from other food that wouldn't be at their best. Krista explained that she texts the contact person (brother) on island 15 minutes before arrival to update when she will be there for pick-up. Using this method the Ribs were as fresh as having been served to your table and the report was they were delicious! Here's where it goes from a 10 experience to off the charts - shortly after my brother picked up the food, Krista TEXTED me a PICTURE of my brother and my Marine!!!! I could not believe it! I really felt part of the celebration from this simple act of kindness! Fast Forward a week. A package from ToGo Dish is in my mailbox, a little too big to be the receipt. Krista sent me a beautiful card and enclosed "The Beaufort Gazette" from the day of Graduation with the list of graduating Marines! As I write this I am tearing up and cannot put into words what a treasure Krista at ToGo Dish is. I guarantee someone who puts this much thought into another human being will make sure everything from ToGo Dish will be provided at the best she can possibly do! And I am so, so grateful!

When I respond as to why would I be calling the restaurant, I never received a reply back. I then placed a call to the restaurant to see what the issue as to why I needed to call them and I was informed that they could not fix my order and wouldn't be able to address it until Monday. But they would contact the owner and call me back. I received a call back from the restaurant who informed me the order was double checked and sent out on time that it would be on Pooler Takeout who is not returning their call.
