No BBQ restaurants or Grocery Stores were open at the time of morning my brother had to be on the island. I found ToGo Dish and was impressed by how many choices I had. When I called to order from ToGo Dish, I had specific requests to make my Marine happy including to enclose a note from us congratulating her :) I asked "Krista" how she manages with that many people, to ensure the food would be in good shape? We knew we were ordering ribs from Big Joe's but Krista steered us away from other food that wouldn't be at their best. Krista explained that she texts the contact person (brother) on island 15 minutes before arrival to update when she will be there for pick-up. Using this method the Ribs were as fresh as having been served to your table and the report was they were delicious! Here's where it goes from a 10 experience to off the charts - shortly after my brother picked up the food, Krista TEXTED me a PICTURE of my brother and my Marine!!!! I could not believe it! I really felt part of the celebration from this simple act of kindness! Fast Forward a week. A package from ToGo Dish is in my mailbox, a little too big to be the receipt. Krista sent me a beautiful card and enclosed "The Beaufort Gazette" from the day of Graduation with the list of graduating Marines! As I write this I am tearing up and cannot put into words what a treasure Krista at ToGo Dish is. I guarantee someone who puts this much thought into another human being will make sure everything from ToGo Dish will be provided at the best she can possibly do! And I am so, so grateful!

The crust was inconsistent in the same pizza. Good and then much like cardboard. But the huge fail was the order/takeout area was absolutely disgusting. Wet rags on the floor. Wet floor. Filthy work counter at the pizza station. Dirty floors. And one poor guy working the front, taking orders and making the pizza. He was kinda a mess too. I look through to the back and 3-4 guys were doing something, but no one was helping up front. Not sure how these guys pass a health inspection. Too bad. Would never return.

But they would contact the owner and call me back. We sent the requested information, but according to the owner, the email was not received, and our tasting was subsequently canceled. Unfortunately, we did not discover that the tasting had been canceled until the day of the appointment--after we had already traveled to the area specifically for several wedding tastings, as we do not live in South Carolina. We completely understand that emails can occasionally be missed, but communication is an important part of the wedding planning process, particularly when clients are traveling from out of state. A simple confirmation or follow-up regarding the missing tasting menu would have allowed us to address the issue before making the trip. While we appreciate that the business was willing to accommodate a special request, the lack of communication and the fact that we were only made aware of the cancellation upon arrival left us extremely disappointed. Based on this experience, I unfortunately would not feel comfortable recommending the business to another couple planning their wedding.
