    *DO NOT USE POOLER TAKEOUT IF YOU WANT TO ACTUALLY HAVE FOOD DELIVERED OR IF YOU EXPECT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE ** I place an order with Pooler TakeouI and I get an email saying that my order is confirmed and because I am a new customer I am required to call them for verification. I thought it was a little weird that I put in an order online and instead if them calling me to confirm my new account I had to call them. Never the less, I did. I got their VM and I left a message saying I was calling to confirm my account. I got busy working and I see the time is 12:40PM. They were late. So I call to find out the status. The employee tries to say I didn't order anything. I read my email confirmation to her. She then says I didnt call to confirm my account. I said yes I did and I left a voicemail. She finally decides to take the initiative to look and sees what I say to be true. She says they can process the order but will be at least 30 minutes. Folks had to leave by 1pm. I cancel the order. We take a photo of an empty plate acting like we are eating and posted it on their FB, (They say in their email to post a photo of the food, so we did....which was nothing so an empty plate got posted). The manager calls me and asks the same questions AGAIN and I tell him my email confirmation and how I left a VM. All he says is "Well I hope your the rest of your Saturday is good. He THEN posts under my photo that I didnt order anything. So...since this is the third time they try to cover up their mistake instead of owning it. I reply with a photo of my email confirmation. Then he comments saying that I told him I didnt confirm my account so instead of arguing and bcuz this is another blatant LIE I posted a photo of my call logs. 1. Why should a customer CALL you to verify the phone number I put in the order? Wouldnt it br better customer service for them to call me? Obviously they need a course in how to give customer service. 2. Instead of investigating my complaint, both the employee and the store manager tried to make it out to be my error and not theirs and THEN tried again on FB. So they LIE and BLAME people instead if saying, "You are right. We made a mistake. So sorry " 3. Then they delete the post and comments that show that they didnt deliver and tried to lie about it 3 times. Guess they didnt like the fact that i busted them lying on Social Media. One star is too high of a score. They dont even deserve that!

    Just tried this out for the first time. Fast and friendly. Came right to my door. My food was still hot and delicious! I'm a fan!

I being from Savannah had not heard of this caterer. Her website was wonderful and the reviews were great. But still it was like taking a shot in the dark but boy let me tell you I hit the Bulls Eye when I hired Miss Shannon and her crew to do a Friday night low country boil for a bunch of out of town guest. I wanted them to have a taste of the low country while visiting Savannah. I also just wanted to enjoy my guest and not have to worry about a thing. Miss Shannon and her crew did an excellent job and the food was amazing. Everyone loved everything they put in their mouths. She is super professional and I loved working with her. From now on when I have to feed more than twenty people at my home Miss Shannon will be the first person I call!

Needless to say, it wasn't inexpensive, but I was wiling to make the purchase because my son was celebrating a milestone, and that cheesesteak sandwich is his favorite. We were going to go to the restaurant but opted to stay home. At 5:20pm the order is waiting pick up. Over an hour later, at 6:30pm the order finally arrives. Sandwich and fries were completely soggy and cold. Pizza was also soggy. I had to put it in the oven to crisp up. Dominoes would have been better and cheaper. According to the driver, she had to sit in traffic on I-95. I live near downtown Savannah, and this restaurant is in midtown. Why is she coming from I-95? I am assuming they are short on drivers. I reached out to SAVtakeOut several times. I even called Oak 36. Finally SAVtakeOut answered, and she said that she needed to speak with her supervisor about a refund. I must have called 15 times. Buyer beware that there delivery service may not be prompt. Food may sit for awhile. This isn't a "boutique" delivery service. Just order from one of the other mainstream services. Also, restaurants be weary of using a delivery service that is not up to par. It hurts your reputation as well. The buck stops with you.
