We were going to go to the restaurant but opted to stay home. At 5:20pm the order is waiting pick up. Over an hour later, at 6:30pm the order finally arrives. Sandwich and fries were completely soggy and cold. Pizza was also soggy. I had to put it in the oven to crisp up. Dominoes would have been better and cheaper. According to the driver, she had to sit in traffic on I-95. I live near downtown Savannah, and this restaurant is in midtown. Why is she coming from I-95? I am assuming they are short on drivers. I reached out to SAVtakeOut several times. I even called Oak 36. Finally SAVtakeOut answered, and she said that she needed to speak with her supervisor about a refund. I must have called 15 times. Buyer beware that there delivery service may not be prompt. Food may sit for awhile. This isn't a "boutique" delivery service. Just order from one of the other mainstream services. Also, restaurants be weary of using a delivery service that is not up to par. It hurts your reputation as well. The buck stops with you.

When I called to order from ToGo Dish, I had specific requests to make my Marine happy including to enclose a note from us congratulating her :) I asked "Krista" how she manages with that many people, to ensure the food would be in good shape? We knew we were ordering ribs from Big Joe's but Krista steered us away from other food that wouldn't be at their best. Krista explained that she texts the contact person (brother) on island 15 minutes before arrival to update when she will be there for pick-up. Using this method the Ribs were as fresh as having been served to your table and the report was they were delicious! Here's where it goes from a 10 experience to off the charts - shortly after my brother picked up the food, Krista TEXTED me a PICTURE of my brother and my Marine!!!! I could not believe it! I really felt part of the celebration from this simple act of kindness! Fast Forward a week. A package from ToGo Dish is in my mailbox, a little too big to be the receipt. Krista sent me a beautiful card and enclosed "The Beaufort Gazette" from the day of Graduation with the list of graduating Marines! As I write this I am tearing up and cannot put into words what a treasure Krista at ToGo Dish is. Filthy work counter at the pizza station. Dirty floors. And one poor guy working the front, taking orders and making the pizza. He was kinda a mess too. They already charge a delivery fee and mileage, and you add your tip; there should be no reason for the menu items to have increased prices through their website.

We sent the requested information, but according to the owner, the email was not received, and our tasting was subsequently canceled. Unfortunately, we did not discover that the tasting had been canceled until the day of the appointment--after we had already traveled to the area specifically for several wedding tastings, as we do not live in South Carolina. We completely understand that emails can occasionally be missed, but communication is an important part of the wedding planning process, particularly when clients are traveling from out of state. A simple confirmation or follow-up regarding the missing tasting menu would have allowed us to address the issue before making the trip. While we appreciate that the business was willing to accommodate a special request, the lack of communication and the fact that we were only made aware of the cancellation upon arrival left us extremely disappointed. Based on this experience, I unfortunately would not feel comfortable recommending the business to another couple planning their wedding.

When you walk in this feels like a legitimate spot with all of the Philly memorabilia and the juice dispensers makes you believe you are about to get an authentic Philly cheesesteak. In addition to this, it took almost 30 minutes to get our sandwiches after waiting about five minutes at the counter by myself while I watched the young lady working prepare other sandwiches before taking any new orders. Meanwhile, another gentleman who I am not sure what his purpose was, stood behind the counter with his arms folded, and simply watched the whole affair without greeting or offering any sort of assistance with regard to the menu or ordering. Just a really bizarre set up but based on the one young lady working it sounds like they're having some significant labor issues so I'll give them a little grace on that. But if you can't deliver a solid sandwich, I have to ding you there. The bread itself, while appearing to be legitimate, was slightly on the stale side so as you can see, once the ingredients were added, it kind of folded in on it itself. The steak was a bit grizzly and dry, and didn't even feel the full bun up, which is definitely a pet peeve for cheesesteaks lovers. And the wings were some of the smallest, driest wings I've had in years. My guess is these were either old wings or previously frozen and fast thawed. Either way, they were almost inedible. Maybe the lack of good labor has affected their overall quality so hopefully they find a solution because this ain't it!
