We went there yesterday, on they're unofficial first day of the season. Im so glad they were open!! Great staff!! Great tea!! Really good brisket! Really good fries!! Really good cornbread, almost cake-like, so moist and sweet! I had the Bronco sandwich. My husband had the brisket sandwich. It was all so good!!! We went to Casey's barbeque in Egg Harbor tge previous day. It was okay. If you want BBQ, you want Savor!! They have a side porch if you want to sit outside and enjoy a bit of the water view. We sat inside, in a booth that looked out to the road. We enjoyed watching the people pass by.

All round the best food, service & location in Door County for meat! Love the new location. The ambiance is gorgeous! We could easily eat here a few times a week.

I had a smash burger at the savor bbq old location that is now savor juicy burgers. It was a pretty solid burger and great feel and definitely juicy as the new business implies. Either the savor burger joint or the bbq restaurant, I would expect a good visit

Excellent BBQ Options. There is dedicated parking on the north side of the building. If you have been to Sister Bay that is a big plus. It is casual dining where you order at the counter and they bring you your table. The place was busy but we had our food in less than 5 minutes. There is a kids menu for 10 and under. Serving were a good size. We had the Cubano and The Maverick. Will definitely be back!!

Mac & cheese

Greeted upon entering by a very nice young lady. We took a menu to our table and then ordered at the counter. Our food came out quickly and very hot. First bites were amazing. My husband had the Maverick and I had the Mac & cheese. Both were fabulous. We ordered a triple chocolate cheesecake slice to share for dessert. Absolutely delicious food, great friendly service, and interestingly fun decorations. We loved it the whole Savor experience. We will be back!! I

One person in our group requested Angel Hair Pasta vs. Spaghetti with Marinara. We were told "Tim the owner / chef does not allow any substitutes" I'm a chef, so I understand if a chef creates a dish, he or she really would like you to taste what they created. Using a different pasta doesn't in anyway change with flavor of the dish prepared. In my business, if a customer makes a request that I am able to make for them, all the better. It makes them happier and my staff will generally get a better tip In addition to that, while the tenderloin steak was very tender, it wasn't seasoned very well; if at all. The mushrooms were good though. The gnocchi made with ricotta vs. potato was an interesting twist. It did make the dumpling a bit softer, yet not really in a bad way. I would like to have had this another way then with a pumpkin sauce; however, that wasn't allowed. My wife ordered it and I at least took a taste. The rigatoni pasta with marinara and 2 meatballs was very good; except I'm not a fan of green peppers. I picked them out while still getting a heavier taste of peppers yet, I know that's a personal preference. There are also green peppers in the lasagna which seems odd to me except I'm sure the same marinara sauce is used in it as well. Overall, the server was good (I think she was fairly new) and the bartender was very firm in expressing the rules of the Chef / Owner; including that the 1-page menu that is 1/3 pizzas. is simply too difficult for the kitchen to manage using a different pasta for a basic dish. There are plenty of good places to enjoy a meal in door county. As such, I'm sure we can find one with a chef whose ego doesn't get in the way of providing a customer's simple request. Last but not least. It's the first time I've been in a nicer restaurant that didn't provide a complimentary special dessert with at least a candle in celebration of a birthday. I know, it sounds a bit puny, yet it just seemed to sum up our experience.

Service was excellent and the food was outstanding. The manager went out of his way to make it an…read moreextremely enjoyable experience.

Her warmth and friendliness was matched by the staff who made our dining experience so comfortable. We were promptly seated and received outstanding service. Portions were large and meals come with bread and a house antipasto salad. Our meals were exceptional. My wife had Chicken Saltimbocca and I tried Linguine with Salmon. Chicken was flavorful; salmon was perfect; the pasta was 4 star. The food was so good that we even ventured into a dessert (rare for us). We tried a lemon cake with glaze and VERY fresh strawberries; it was wonderful. A small restaurant that is a gem and well worth it. An outstanding dining experience. Exceptional food; the service and atmosphere were amazing.

(Rest of the party was long done by the time we got meals). Asked for the manager but our server (Liz?) said she was the manager and tried to fix it by cooking the steaks more - kinda was uncool to sit while everyone else ate while 2 of our party were waiting. Food : steaks (see above), pesto pasta was good. Heirloom tomato salad was very good but star was tomatoes themselves and presentation was odd with dollop of dressing on each tomato - needed some acidity in the dressing. Chicken saltimbocca was OK but very sweet. Nearby places were closed so we ordered dessert. Tiramisu wasn't very good and peach cake was dry but probably also tainted by the experience. They comped the dessert after we ordered. Bill was over $300 for a crappy experience. Wouldn't recommend. We were here 15 years ago and it was really good and we were looking forward to returning - we live 1600 miles away so it kinda was a big deal to return here over La Becasse. Oh well.

If there is a line of a dozen or more standing in line, plan on returning at 5:30 pm, or perhaps every half hour as the first in line get welcomed and seated first. Don't be upset if you press for seating even if the restaurant is half empty. We're puzzled as to why the restaurant doesn't take reservations, as there is a staff shortage in kitchen and wait staff. There is a permanent help wanted sign in its window. Perhaps taking reservations and guaranteeing showing up by taking a credit card first might help with greeting and accommodating the limited number of tables this restaurant can handle courteously and politely. If you do miss the first seating, don't be offended if the host/ hostess doesn't suggest waiting at the bar and enjoying a cocktail or glass of wine while you wait for your later seating. Be proactive and ask for permission to sit at the bar. Don't be offended if the bartender is curt and impatient. It's difficult to keep a good efficient staff. We're not sure if the food is good. As we were treated rudely upon entering, and they'd reached their initial seating capacity, our questions were answered impatiently and coldly. We did leave our name to return after 35 minutes. We left the restaurant and stood outside to reassess the situation. We decided it wasn't worth the attitude. So we crossed the street and had a welcoming and delicious dinner with drinks and desserts at Crate which we highly recommend. If you are familiar with the Seinfeld TV series, visiting Trattoria Dal Santo is very much like encountering the Soup Nazi. Proceed at your own risk
