Despite this communication, Isai allows his voicemail to get full and the only option for communication is by text. My first communication was Dec 7th, and thus far, no proposal, and no return text. We have not even started service or agreed on price and I'm already chasing Glady's. Imagine what it is like if they started service with you and you have a problem or concern, good luck chasing Isai and Glady's Landscaping Service or getting a return phone call or text.

Honestly, Brendon and his crew are so easy to work with and are so bent on customer satisfaction, we couldn't imagine working with anyone else. Our latest project was initiated by the desire to make our house more fire-resistant. With the guidance of Brendon and landscape architect Brian Brodersen, we tore out many plants next to the house, got rid of all the bark, and put in fire-resistant plants like agaves, succulents, and Lomandra longifolia 'Platinum Beauty,' a beautiful low maintenance grass considered fire-wise. With plant knowledge, your fire-resistant & drought tolerant landscape doesn't have to be all succulents and cactus. We no longer have any grass to mow/fertilize/water, and we happen to find our grassless landscape more interesting to look at. The gravel is not only fire-safe, but gives a much more polished, finished look, and we elected to have weed-cloth installed beneath the gravel. Please check out the photos below. Since the new plants are so tiny, I've included pictures of older plantings, too.

Your response alone proves the point of the horrible customer service, the inability to put your customers first and considering you actually never had a part in it nor were there for any of the meetings so I find your skewed view of how everything really happened to be almost comical. 1.) We were open about our budget from the get go but Savon advised that they were going to provide us with a full design workup even though it would be outside of our budget so that way we could pick and choose which items to remove 2.) Our household budget apparently is a tool for you to try and take a jab back at us by putting it on a public forum (extremely unprofessional) and you even reduced it more than it was to try and prove a point 3.)We never were given the chance to review line item by line item, the 3D design was on your designer's laptop that we were able to view from across the table so let's get real about the access to the full itemization of everything because we were NEVER provided it and we were actually told that you do not provide one 4.) The cost was brought down to 25k to keep cost within reason and it also proves your prior statement to be a lie as our budget obviously was not 15k. 5.) Prices did increase due to the Paver error but we argued the fact that you guys made that error and quoted the wrong amount so it would not be a cost to us as the client but had we not stood our ground, we would've been billed for the cost change 6.) when the 3d design was done, and also when we opted to add the drain lines, the sidewalk was already built, even sent pictures the same day of the 3D design to the designers after we left our initial meeting because they messed up on the sidewalk and didn't have it coming up at an angle impacting the layout of the front stairs so to purchase a 2k drain with a curb core out to only be told after the fact that the drain would have to be a pop up drain is utterly ridiculous 7.) "over the course of the relationship you worked with us and our tight budget" again this statement alone proves what an ass you are, and second if that tight budget was true then how did we start with a 25k project and half way through it if we allowed Savon to finish the work our total cost was at 31k because we added additional features? 6 week update: Gas line at meter is rusting. I called LA City, LA County, and Santa Clarita City and to my surprise NO PERMIT HAS BEEN FILED! Talk to Savon and Kristina says they didn't schedule a final because Savon wasn't allowed on property. Hmm... inspectors don't work for Savon and charge was already paid for... So we have a gas line that does not have a permit (only a 180 day temporary), and there was no concern on the part of Savon to provide! Also the temp permit was done BEFORE they had to come back and re-center and flip (yes it was put on upside down). We have been advised by LA County to not use until inspection to test under pressure. The most appalling thing isn't the obvious, the "veteran" owner is completely MIA, and has shown zero regard to reach out and/or correct. THE LACK OF CONCERN FOR SOMETHING SO MAJOR US CHILLING! Savon has put my family in jeopardy and zero communication. I intend to file complaint with county, seek a lawyer to review options, and tell everyone I know every way I know how how horrible this company is. Shame on yelp for removing things from this that could cause potential danger to others, danger to us, our neighbors, and our home. read more

We first contacted Savon pavers several months ago. Mike Dobson came out to talk to us and also met with us at the paver supply business to see a variety of pavers on display to help us choose pavers for our driveway. But first we wanted to get our house painted and that took us a loooooong time to choose colors and finally get it painted. Mike kept in touch all those months just to let us know he was available if we had any questions or needed more information. Nice guy and never pushy. We made some changes from the first time we met regarding placement of steps along the driveway and we were ready to go. Once we finalized everything Mike and his crew were here the next week to start. Incredibly the whole process from tearing out our concrete driveway to completion was just 2 days! The foreman, Lupe, and his crew, clearly knew what they were doing and it was fun to watch the work progress. They did a great job and we appreciate their hard work and Mike's knowledge and assistance guiding us through the project. read more

We were hit hard by the Holiday Fire in Goleta this summer. Our Land Cruiser "melted" into our driveway and the existing pavers couldn't be replaced. Solution: We hired Mike Dobson and his team--and they came to the rescue! The job included a new walkway, driveway and three patios. We added planter walls and circle kits as accents. Mike's advice and experience was invaluable throughout the project. He under-promised and over-delivered. His follow up and follow through was excellent. We had a particular vision for the re-landscaping of our front yard, but it posed some engineering…read morechallenges. We had a designer develop a conceptual plan, but it did not fully address the engineering issues. When we met John Arney at Helix Landscape Construction, we knew we'd found the right person and the right company for the job. Sloping below street level, our front yard posed an interesting challenge to keep rain runoff out of our sump system as much as possible. The design incorporated the concept of a rocky swale to collect runoff, but John engineered all the details to including french drains to direct runoff into the landscape to re-charge the local water table for the signature bonsai tree and other plants envisioned in the plan. Throughout the project, John took the time to understand our aesthetic for the yard, and provided advice on so many details as it took shape. He traveled with us to rock yards and specialty nurseries to help find the perfect elements. John brought both great design ideas and the technical know-how we needed to make our vision a reality. Over the course of the two weeks he spent with us, I felt he truly became our partner in the project, which made it a pleasure to work with him and his team. As for execution, John's team was efficient, conscientious and respectful of us and our neighbors. The project was completed on time, despite discovery of a massive root system left behind from a previous tree removal, and many other tweaks to the effort made along the way. We are thrilled with the results and would recommend John for any landscape project you might have.

I'm definitely the outlier here on yelp, but Helix did an extremely shameful installation for my…read moreresidential project. Nothing was done correctly. 1. irrigation: John explained he was an irrigation specialist and he declined the irrigation plan saying he would take care of the irrigation and that the price was included. He spent the first two weeks working on the irrigation, and in the end, half the grass did not survive and many of the shrubs also dried up. I ended up having to hire another contractor to re-do my irrigation who installed a completely new system tailored to the design (with new pipes, drip for shrubs, and rotor heads for the grass) in two days for less than what john charged me for one new station (that I never even authorized). 2. Lawn: new ground cover did not come in and the old grass and shrubs are popping up all over the place, despite me paying for demo of the original lawn and landscaping. I was also there when he instructed his team to spray round-up on the yard AFTER seeding and planting, so those shrubs died and the lawn either didn't grow in or died. John tried to attribute the dead shrubs to the heavy rain. 4. Very poor shrub quality: he accepted poor/dying plant material, and also let it sit for two weeks before installing, and he actually installed dead plant material, then made me walk around and make a map or install flags where replacements were needed. 5. Shrub installation: shrubs weren't placed per the design, and he also made me go around and map out the mistakes. 6. Hardscape installation - he installed stepping stones 2 inches above grade and planting boxes very unlevel/lop sided. I did get other quotes, but took this one based on recommendations. I do not recommend Helix.

From placing rocks along the edge of the concrete to help everything blend naturally, to selecting the perfect pottery and plant placement, nothing felt rushed or overlooked. You can tell they take pride in their work. They walked us through each step, answered every question, and gave clear, honest recommendations. We never felt upsold or pressured. Their pricing is very reasonable, and you are truly paying for their experience, knowledge, and care. We could not be happier with the outcome and would recommend Maria and Jaime without hesitation. Brad was so professional, knowledgeable and friendly . On the day of installation, Ivan led a four man crew who prepped and installed our turf. The four of them worked together so well, and by the end of the day, the job was complete! They cleaned up the street where the base was dumped, plus hosed down our patio, leaving the job site perfectly clean! These guys did a great job EXCEPT that they forgot to turn the valve on, and when the pump started…read more(by a timer), there was no water flowing. I hope the pump wasn't damaged.
