    Wine and chocolate!
    Tim S.

Wine and chocolate for Valentine's tasting but year round this is my favorite place. Kind, knowledgeable hosts. Always extra tastes. I am a fan of the Nebbiolo and Tempranillo's. This is always my first stop when visiting Walla

Showed up a little after 4 and the staff was pleasant. Our friends were members and they treated us all equally. Since we were unable to do a tasting we were given the opportunity to have small carafes and try each other's single pours. Absolutely lovely time.

WOW! Amazing wines in a gorgeous tasting room. Jodi and Kari were attentive, friendly and super delightful. We joined the wine club because EVERY wine was fantastic.

The wine was good. However, You didn't get to experience the wine because the server was not controlling the room. The room had 10-15 people in it and he was at a tiny little table in the corner (they had a large wine bar but the huge bar was only being used to sell wine which is not the best use of space) and he was not making sure people were all getting tastes. He was being monopolized by a few people who were stuck right in front of his tiny table asking questions. Which is fine but he needed to engage with other people and help the flow. We walked in a waited behind the many people who were at the bar. About 5 minutes of waiting we realized we were suppose to grab a glass on the way in. Which is very strange, and made us feel like we were at a coffee shop not a nice winery. They had a tiny little chalk board that said "grab a glass" not a prominent spot so it wasn't obvious. We had to fight to the front of the tiny bar to get each taste. It wasn't great. There were only two people working. One giving out tastes and the other setting up for private tastes. They hardly talked to customers. I know sometimes it's difficult because it was fairly busy but when you come to a winery the easiest thing to do should be able to get a little wine. Then when you were done there was a container to put your dirty glass again another sign and not anyone telling you. It felt like you were in a packed bar and you had to fight to get the bartenders attention to get a drink. The wine was good and that was really all this place has.

The people are friendly and easy-going. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. Take the time to enjoy the view and the people of Saviah Cellars! There is a lot of room for kids to run and play outside, away from any vines, while the parents are tasting wine.

The staff/owner, were incredibly friendly and made us feel truly welcome with her smile The ambience is modern and inviting perfect for enjoying a glass of wine. The restrooms were spotless and stylish, and a thoughtful touch was the dark chocolate in the women's restroom, which was a lovely surprise. I really enjoyed the overall tasting experience. The tasting menu included two reds and one white, all of which were excellent. The most surprising part came at the end, when we were ready to pay and the staff informed us that the tasting was complimentary. We were genuinely shocked and grateful, and we ended up purchasing two bottles.

I understand that it's a small, family-run business, but receiving multiple confirmations felt excessive and not quite the relaxed vibe one looks for while on vacation. That said, the property itself is gorgeous and the setting is beautiful both indoors and outdoors. We were seated outside, and the service was fantastic. Our sommelier was friendly, engaging, and made the experience enjoyable. She took the time to sit with on the parties and have a personal one on one chat .The wines themselves were excellent ,we even ended up buying a bottle. Overall, it was a lovely visit, but it's probably not a place I would prioritize returning to on a future trip.

He took the time to make us feel welcome, ensuring we were comfortable at our shaded table (it was around 95°F!) and never rushed us through the tasting. He even remembered our names and gave great recommendations for nearby dinner spots to check out after our visit. We brought our Australian Shepherd along, and he was warmly welcomed as well. They also have their own adorable winery dog, Monty (possibly a Shih Tzu?), who was mostly inside but made an appearance toward the end of our tasting. He's a bit cautious with other dogs but very sweet. We sat outside and enjoyed the peaceful setting. We learned Kinhaven also hosts weddings--there had just been one the night before with about 50 guests dining in the orchard. It sounds absolutely picturesque! As for the wines--every single one we tried was impressively good. The $25 per person tasting fee is waived with the purchase of two bottles, which is more than worth it given the quality. Highly recommend visiting--great wine, thoughtful service, and a relaxing, welcoming environment! Exactly what we were looking for!

The wine itself is high quality. There aren't a ton of varietals, but what they do they do right. The tasting room has excellent ambiance, and for those interested there is a large bear statue that makes for a nice photo op.
