I love shopping at thrift stores, but this place is definitely one of the more higher end thrift stores. The price is high, but I would say it is well worth it. The whole store is very organized with dressing rooms. They have clothes, movies, electronics, books, glass wares and shoes, a classic thrift store. The reason why I give it a five stars is by the organization and quantity that compliments the higher price. Savers also has a lot of sales that should be taken advantage of. read more

We were about to purchase over $125 worth of stuff but had to leave it because the employees were being extremely rude. They had a Nintendo ds that we were about to buy but i guess you arent allowed to touch it while waiting to pay for it!! Sadly, I am downgrading my review. I used to love this store and even called it my favorite place (especially because Starbucks is right in the parking lot). In the recent months the pricing has been crazy, I mean really crazy. The deals a fewer and further between; even the clothing prices are nuts. I used to always be able to buy a nice pair of jeans for $5; now it is usually $9 to $15 for a nice pair! The electronics stuff used to be great deals, now everything is super over priced. I have purchased inkjet printers there in the past for $5-$10, now they want $25 for one! What Happened? Oh well, good things never last forever. read more

If you can get over the aspects of exactly what this place is and make it an adventure you will be impressed. Hit or miss, like most places, sometimes you win and sometimes you loss but it is always interesting and always cheap. I have found name brand clothes here for under $10 and that is an accomplishment. You do need to search and dig for the one nice thing in a row of about a million ugly terrible things but when you find it you have accomplished something. Go get them bargain shoppers! read more

I USED to love Savers. That was in the early days though before anyone else knew about it. Now they are just way too overpriced on most of the stuff they believe are good quality. The only reason I will return is because of their lack of knowledge with pricing. This is how I was able to score my Ferragamo half zip wool/cashmere sweater for less than their overpriced Ralph Lauren Polo's. Oh yeah and also their plain clothes security guards love their jobs too too much. Savers is a hit or miss affair. sometimes its gold. other times its a waste of time. I have been to this one a few times and i think i have got a great deal every time. A few times things were priced a lot higher than they cost new! If you know what you are looking for and what it should cost Savers is a great place to shop. read more

as an avid disciple of thrift stores/vintage shops/consignment/second hand/garage sales i love a good hunt at a Savers. this location has been my go-to spot for years, but i feel i must comment on the decline of quality and raising of prices. i realize that prices can't stay the same forever, and they are bound to increase at some point... but this is a thrift store. i mean, come on. i too have seen the outrageous prices on Free People clothing (sorry, there's no way i'm paying $20+ for -anything- in a Savers. and i feel bad for the poor sap who buys FP at a Savers for that insane price). just yesterday i visited, combing through just about everything like i normally do. in my travels, i happened upon: o1. a seemingly-nice sweater with a faux fur stole attached. i thought, hm, this can't be more than $7-$9 - there was a brooch clasp that featured many missing rhinestones. look at the designer, some unknown boutique. price? $19!! excuse me what? i'm not here for that. o2. many questionable prices - thrift store donators, i beseech you to please cut off your tags before donating. just because it's in unworn condition, doesn't mean i'll pay 80% of its original asking price. and on the flip side, i don't know who does quality control but there were many pieces in there that were stained, with holes, or in otherwise poor condition that were fetching between $7-$10. o3. gross nastiness. a bunch of the locks/doors in the dressing room area are straight up wonky. the whole store is dingy and is in need of a deep clean, or at least mopping. o4. i know this was done awhile ago, but it would be absolutely lovely if the aisle space was larger (for whatever reason they were condensed and the aisles are super narrow now. it wouldn't be such a problem if i didn't have to nearly climb over people and their carriages) and probably the most hilarious exercise in poor judgment i have seen at this store (this was months ago, but nonetheless): i'm an anime fan, and every so often i can find old VHS tapes (sometimes DVDs) of shows i like. during one visit, i was looking through their anime, which was in their kids' section - when i came across a hentai. now, do yourself a favor and don't search 'hentai' on Google while you're on your lunch break - basically, it's NSFW adult anime, and the video tape in question was clearly marked 'for adults only'. in the kids' section. yup. luckily i handed it off to a staff member and explained what the sitch was, and i have to say the horrified look on the person's face said it all. if you want to go bargain-hunting, i definitely recommend the Savers on Branch Avenue in Providence. but just be careful, getting in and out of there (especially trying to get back onto I-95 South) is comparable to a visit to Mordor (which one simply does not just walk into). read more

I live in West Warwick, and I have been shopping at this Savers location in Warwick for almost 5 years. When I first moved here from Florida, I needed winter clothes. I got a Jones of New York wool coat for $10, a leather jacket with Thinsulate lining for $15, and many shirts and sweaters-name brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, Talbots, Liz Claiborne, etc. Sometimes tags are still on the items. I have found other things that have been amazing: Chicos shorts, shirts, leather purses by Etienne Aigner, shoes, leather boots, the list goes on! However, even odd items I have found: birthday invitations, a charger for an IPod, shower curtain rings, a beautiful lead crystal vase. I'm telling you, if you have not tried shopping at Savers, you are missing out on great savings. I also enjoy going to the Savers in Providence and East Providence. You are saving money while supporting Big Brother Big Sister org. When you donate, you get a tax deduction. It's a win/win transaction! read more
