I just moved here a month ago and its my first time coming to this store. When I finished browsing, I stood in line waiting for an associate. I noticed the self check out lines but I wanted to ask an associate about store programs/deals/subscriptions as I am a frequent thrift store visitor and this store is new to me. I observed a man standing behind the jewelry section and I kept waving at him in a friendly manner suggesting I needed assistance. After 20 minutes of being ignored, he finally asked if I was "lost or something." I asked if I could check out with an associate and he stated, "we don't have staff for that go on the self check out." I noticed a woman had also been waiting for help at a self check out station and she never received help so she walked out. I walked to the next available station and I realized I couldn't understand the system so I requested for help on the monitor which made the station number blink. As I waited, I observed 2 women at the station behind me checking out items (or so I thought). One of them starred at me the entire time I stood there but didn't think much of it. After another 10 minutes of receiving no help, I moved over to another register and figured the system out. As I'm finishing up and recovering my receipt, I begin to walk out when the lady that was starting at me earlier when I needed help, approaches me and asks me to leave the hangers at the register. I asked, if she saw I needed help earlier, why didn't she advise me she was with a client but could help me at her earlier convenience?? She just stood there and watched me struggle. She rolled her eyes and walked away towards the gentleman standing behind the jewelry section to begin a conversation. I was so agitated by the lack of courtesy, lack of customer service, lack of staff it seems as I never saw any staff on the floor, and the atmosphere did not feel welcoming. Savers - No staff in sight after several attempts at receiving assistance. - Thrift Stores Near Me - El Paso, Texas

Rude staff. Luisa the girl working self checkout was so unprofessional. I've never left a business a bad review but this girl was so rude I felt I needed to. I bring my son here at least once a week we come to look for toys and books. I also donate here often and they usually give me the 20% off coupon. Today we went in and my son picked out his toy and when we walk up to pay Luisa already had a rude look on her face and was not welcoming at all. I scanned a paper coupon and it said to show it to the attendant. I show her and she goes "this coupon has been used already" but with an attitude. I told her it was my mistake but to me it was not a big deal (it was only for 20% off) so I told her ok sorry I must've gotten it mixed up from the last time we came. Again we go often so I wasn't surprised that I had used it already, it was just sitting in my car. Not to mention if you have little ones sometimes going to a store can be chaotic so at this point I'm sure I kept it the last time without thinking. Then she keeps going and sarcastically says "well it's ripped" while I have my back turned. It was only "ripped" because the coupons they give out when you donate have a line where you can cut off the bottom portion where just the barcode is. If she knew her job she would know this. Then she comes back and says "actually can I have it" while I'm trying to pay. I'm sorry but what am I going to do with a used coupon? It is obviously no longer valid. I can understand if it's a policy but it was a simple mistake and her tone was so aggressive over something small. But either way I said sure and handed it to her just trying to get out of there. I have no reason to try and reuse a coupon. I understand there may be some people who try to do this but being an honest customer and mother just trying to shop with my child I felt extremely uncomfortable being treated this way. My son loves coming here but because of Luisa and the poor customer service I probably won't go back or donate here again. The discount was not the issue, it was being treated poorly by this employee. Savers please learn to treat customers with more respect especially the loyal ones who make an effort to donate and buy from here. There was a way to handle this politely. read more

Well organized. Loved the section highlighted in the front of the store - set aside for seasonal stuff. Good idea. Update: if you come in every day you might not notice a small price hike, but as I've been away from EP for a while, I found it quite noticeable. So much so, that due to the extra effort it takes me to come here, I'm seriously questioning if its worth it. Sorry. Lost a star. read more

I live four hours away from El Paso, so anytime we go to the city, I make sure I stop by Savers! During this COVID pandemic my children both hit growth spurts, and I was was left with four to five large trash bags full of Children's clothing. The attendants were super helpful and kind. Nice selection on name brand clothes but a bit pricy. That however seems to be the trend with most thrift stores. Super organized and clean. Bonus: shopped on a Sunday and all blue tags were 50% off. I'm assuming it changes every week. read more

Definitely well organized and clean for a thrift store. I appreciate the special sales days and sales based on color code of the price tags. I cannot remember if they change the sale color every day or every week, but if you ask any associate they can tell you. The prices are comparable to Goodwill, although you will probably find a wider selection at Savers. read more

Overall clean and well organized store however I've definitely noticed a price mark up over the past few years. I'm not sure if the store has some sort of corporate pricing algorithm or if Juanita's in the back throwing numbers but it needs some sort of revamp. Maybe it's just me, other than that they have a larger variety then say Goodwill. Try not to take this so much as a complaint I'm still gonna go back to browse around every now and then. read more

I donated 10 large trash bags full of almost new clothing and items. My friend and I then went in shopping inside. This was my second time there. Upon paying, I presented a 30% off coupon that I had received through my email. The cashier did not understand the coupon and quicky called a male supervisor. This supervisor came within 1 foot of me and very rudely told me "READ THE FINE PRINT" and kept screaming at my face. I told him to back off as he was in violation of the 6 ft rule. He never backed up and continued to tell at my face. The educated and matured person that I am and 23 years is military experience, I absolutely felt threatened by this man in my face (I'm a small frame women). The coupon indicated 30% off but did not include clothing. I ended up reducing my purchase from $189 to $69. I used the 20% coupon that I received from my donation. The difference was just 10%!. At the end the "supervisor" was yelling by himself. I never expected this man to be so short temper, unprofessional and worse of all violate the 6ft rule with a customer in the mist of a pandemic!!. I will never donate at that place. It's the principle of the matter. Not the few dollars that I would have saved. In retrospect. I really didn't need any of those items! read more

I checked out this store last summer for time. Wow, if you like cowboy boots come to El Paso, tons of them and cheap also. The rest of the store was completely uneventful but I remember the cowboy boot selection being mind blowing. They weren't 5 bucks but they had plenty in the 15 dollar range. read more

I am really disappointed with this store i have been coming here for many years and i always have had great experiences until yesterday. My brother, my mom, and i went on april 6,2015 everything was going smooth until my mom found a really nice purse but we noticed it had a tag so we were walking and the tag fell without us noticing so we went to a lady and explained that it didn't have a tag and she nicely told us the price. Okay so when we went to pay for it with a cashier she is like i am sorry but no tag we cant sell it to u but was very very disrespectful to my mom. My brother then went to look for the price tag because it had fallen and he found it on the floor and the cashier told us in a very rude way that it couldn't be sold cause it had to be in the purse. I am super pissed off and disappointed i will not be shopping at this store anytime soon :/ and if a manager sees this seriously you need to say to your cashiers to have a better personality read more
