Best Nice Twice store!!! I can always find some great pieces and exactly what I'm looking for!

I have been there multiple times and brought in slightly and some never worn Torrid clothing sizes ranging from 2x to 4x. 2 large trash bags full of Blouses, jeans, t-shirts, dresses and blazer jackets and to my surprise they only took 6 items in 2x size and pant size 17. I went in today to sell some of my husband's clothes since he had lost so much weight. I wasn't really greeted by the young lady at the counter, she seemed indisposed and irritated that there was "another" customer bringing clothes, I am not sure about anyone else, but I really tried to give the girl a smile and to be considerate of her time. After she had gone through my husband's things, they were just tossed back into the basket with no regard for how I presented them to her; also her comments were short and snippy to my questions. Anyway, the selections were super sparse and I was a little perplexed, but accepted the cash and left. Probably won't go back to this particular store since there are two others. I looked through the store and found some nice things, but nothing I couldn't live without. I feel like the value of people's items are consistent with the markings. All in all, Uptown Cheapskate is a higher end establishment, but some of the workers are a bit snobby. I appreciate the ones that give a hello and a smile. read more

A pleasant surprise! I took some clothes in to sell and they took about 60%. I was pleased with my cash offer, or you can get store credit. Staff was very helpful - they have dedicated staff to take items in at one desk and separate staff and counter for purchases. The store is super clean , well-organized with a mix of some new items like blouses, stickers and accessories along with the resale items. It is set up like a mall clothing store - very attractive and pleasant to shop in. I will definitely be going back ! read more

Went to the El Paso eastside location. Took two full bags of my daughters clothes that she outgrew. About 90% of the items still had the price tag on them - still brand new and NEVER used. They wanted to buy back ONLY two blouses out of at least 40 items! I asked the employee why only two, she said, "it depends on the condition of the items." I replied, "the majority still have the price tag on them." She then said something about having "too much inventory." This is the second time I go to this exact location. First time, they did not want to buy back any items, saying, "they are not in style." And asked me if I wanted to donate them. WTF! Yeah right, donate them and then they sell them to make a profit! I did notice that several customers walked in with bags of clothing - perhaps to sell also. But, they left the store with the bags of clothing. I guess, they are NOT buying at all. Also, saw some baseball caps at $35 - more expensive than items at Disney!! NEVER will I visit this business, would rather donate them to a charity! Plus, the attendants was not "customer friendly!" I was spring cleaning my closet and I have a bunch of clothes with tags on them still and some were so hard to just donate I was going to take my clothes to Plato's closet BUT I just so happened to take a wrong turn and somehow found this place by accident. I went inside the store first to check out the scene and let me tell you.... First impression it's very organized and clean. One girl her name is Sarah .. she was soooo nice and let me know how it works with buying or selling clothes. They even take custom jewelry or unused perfumes. Another girl named Kennedy was also very helpful. She was organizing the clothes rack and asked if everything was ok and went and saved me a dressing room to hold my items I was planing to purchase. Not once did I experience rude customer service like the other reviews claimed. I guess the management rehired professional and friendlier employees now. Anyways well .... I did take a bunch of clothes and they grabbed a hand full and I feel I got a good bargain for what they selected. I'm definitely coming back on the first because they have some GREAT deals. It's a very cool place to find some cool thrifts but I wouldn't recommend this place to sell your stuff because they don't give you much even if it's brand new, I actually taken afew things that they've turned away just to take the next time so it also depends on the person working I think they get to pick and choose! read more

I'm only giving one star because I can't give less than zero I DO NOT recommend this business I hauled in three boxes of clothes that still had some tags on it name brands like Loft Lane Bryant torrid not one thing was bought from me they made me wait in the store For 45 minutes they said if we left they would consider all my stuff donation not sure what the reason was it was never really explained the staff was young and rude and and offending- They explained that the clothes can only be two years old I saw some shoes in there that look like my grandma wore it was such a disappointment and a big waste of time don't spend your energy lifting your clothes to get it in there or your time for them to say no to every single item have a garage sale and make your money there! in maps it said that this place was a thrift store so we went here one day to look around and have me shop. this place is not at all cheap in my opinion. a lot of the stuff was over priced. i saw a lot of clothes i wanted and loved but it was way too overpriced for what it was. i dont see this place being for cheapskates haha. i'm probably just too cheap of a person i dont know. the service was good though! very nice people. it was also just way to packed. the aisle are way to small. we couldn't look at much because of how much people their were. overall, i wouldn't recommend this place if you are cheap and thrift a lot like me. times are tough so i rather get thrift clothes than expensive. read more

DO NOT SELL HERE ‼‼ $6 for two XL trash bags of clothes and they tell you you cannot leave the store until they're done, (1 hour 30 minutes for me) and if you do you are forced to to donate the rest of your items. The price for their items is cheap, but at a minimum 10 times the price they offer for your clothes, and the selection is pretty below average. A lot of their good boots are wrinkled beyond the value you pay for, overall not a great business. read more

SCAMMER alert! If you want your Designer brands stolen from you and not returned, go ahead and bring your stuff here to sell. They took two large bags of clothes, shoes, bags, many vintage, dresses, gowns for consideration, and then returned cheap sweaters in my bag that didn't belong to me. When we contacted them they claimed the items were accidentally donated. They offered 20 dollars in store credit for HUNDREDS in value stolen from me. KVIA and KFOX will be notified next. We also have fashion IG and Poshmark accounts with over 250K followers in total. They will be notified as well. Scam artists. SMH. read more

ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have to agree with the other reviews. Staff is unnecessarily rude to customers. I came when this location (East) first opened and had a much different experience. Today, 11/13/21, I came in and was told it would be a 45 min way. So I waited. After an hour, I politely asked about the status and was rudely told by, I believe Angela (that's what it said on my receipt), that they were still adding it to the system. I went back after 10 min and again, same shitty attitude. Employees on the floor were also walking around with sticks up their ass. I've worked customer service for many, many years. If you can go to the Westside store-do so! They are nicer, friendlier and don't mess around about times. The girls have attitude at the Eastside one and it's never the customer is right. I was selling my clothes and they told me to come at 7:30pm. I came at 5:30pm. I'm here, it's 7:45pm and the girl was rude and said oh, I haven't imputed in the system. When I told her I was given a 730 time, she just repeated that they don't give specific times.....even though I was. The Westside will treat you better! Lesson learned. read more

There was a mistake with my purchase and there was no difficulty with refunding me they were very sweet during the whole thing. I've been going to Uptown for quite sometime now I had stopped going for awhile because I was upset they didn't want to exchange a jacket I had purchased after making a huge purchase they refused to exchange the jacket eventhough it wasn't past exchange days. But I decided to give it Uptown another chance and I have no regrets for doing so. Uptown is a friendly environment that I enjoy going to. I will continue recommending Uptown. Something I do find interesting is that not all the Uptowns aren't connected which causes me to only go to one location hopefully they all connect one day that way I could use my points at any location instead of one.
