Large clean store filled with overpriced mediocre items. If you like antiques, art, etc... look elsewhere. Better jewelry is a joke here. The prices are absurd, better off buying them new. They make it look like their profits all go to charity but when I asked several of the workers what percentage goes to charity, I got the complete run around. Nobody will give you a real answer. read more

All of the cashiers are rude and bitter for no reason. They are quick to to snap at you for simple questions. I let it slide but the next person might not be as patient as me. Get it together... horrible customer service. read more

Prices are way too high considering the stuff is used and donated to them. A pair of American eagle jeans should not run me $15 at a THRIFT STORE!! I can go to American eagles clearance rack and pay $5 more and get a BRAND NEW pair. There was even off season seasonal decor that was soooo much. Won't be returning not worth it when I can go elsewhere for better deals. read more

This Savers is clean and well organized. It is a smaller store, but it has a decent selection. The only issue, which is why it is receiving a 3-star review, is the pricing is a lot higher than other locations. This place is all about the biggest profit, on donated items. You can still make money and make things affordable. Buying a Forever 21 shirt for the same price that it is at Forever 21 is not a bargain for your customers. Try to stick to percentage off sales. That seems to be where you can get a good deal. read more

Good place for saving money in clothing not all looks too old , unfortunately a woman who is a "manager" black hair , curly and looks angry she's very rude , a worker told her that she does not feel confortable with people without mask inside the store but she didn't care about her feelings, this person " manager " told that's a new policy in the store and it's okay . How do we know who's vaccinated and who's not , it's not okay the way this person talked to me and the day working in there . very RUDE!!! read more

I thought this place was good for a thrift store. Got a couple nice quality shirts and it was a 50% off day. If you bring bags of old clothes or items you also get 30% off stuff you want to buy. If you come on the right days could be worth it. Keep in mind this is second hand so you need to make sure things aren't stained or damaged, other than I'm happy there is such a large selection. read more

Not a huge fan of this Savers location. I shop for kitchen wares and there is such a limited selection that. The Holbrook location is so much more plentiful. On a side note- I'm surprised that they sell things like tomato sauce jars that people throw away, they sell them for like $2-3 - I'm always shocked about that! read more

I discovered Savers when I was staying just south of LA about 3 yrs ago. It was a bit of a revelation & I truly enjoyed shopping there. The NY stores are very different. This Savers in Commack is worlds better than the one in W. Hempstead, which is like a giant dust bunny w/ garbage attached to its back. The one in Commack is relatively large, clean & the staff is almost always very nice & helpful. Recently, they started to raise their prices to the point where it's just not worth it. When I mentioned that people don't shop at thrift stores to pay $9.99 for a handbag w/ scuff marks all over it or $5.99 for a blouse they can get new on clearance at Kohl's for $4, I was told (more than once because I mention it every time I go) that the problem is that customers learned how to game the system, working the discounts & sales. So, management raised the prices & now they complain that sales are down. Well, yes: what they lose is that instead of going there now when I'm just bored or lonesome & plunking down $35 on things I don't need but that make me feel better, I just go when there is a 50% off sale on what I think I need. I spend the same $35, but instead of doing it every 3 weeks or so, I do it every 8 or 9 weeks or so. To make it worse, I bought a jacket there recently & didn't realize until I got it into the daylight that there were stains all over the hem. If I had spent a few dollars, I wouldn't have cared much, but it was $18. At a thrift store. I believe that it would have retailed for about $200 new, but it wouldn't have all those stains on it, now would it? It's not worth the price if you have to turn it into dust rags. I have shopped at thrift stores for years & even I warn people to inspect the stuff they're buying, but when you need daylight to reveal stains, where is the protection against garbage? So, I recommend that you stick to the sales or items from lines that have been discontinued & inspect potential purchases closely & by the windows. Otherwise, you're not going to do very well. read more

READ the reviews on here (do the drop down menu on "newest first" please, and read them). This is the MOST EXPENSIVE THRIFT STORE on Long Island. I shop at all of 'em. I know my prices. So, if you're looking to go on a "thrift run" with friends on nice Saturday afternoon , you are better off at Am Vets in Copaigue, Salvation Army in East Northport , Good Will on the boarder of East Northport/Commack, Island Thrift in Huntington Station, church thrift store on Main Street in Huntington and the Community Thrift store (both in Huntington Village). I have not yet been to American Thrift in Baldwin but people say it's pretty good. High priced thrifts are evil because they prey upon poorer people with low incomes. No reason to charge $5.00 for a used-then-discarded T-shirt that was given away for free at a Bar Mitzvah or a Running event for charity. Despicable and rotten pricing practices by whorish money grubbing worms in charge. read more

Book prices are too high! $3.99 is ridiculous for used books.I find some decent stuff but they are getting greedy for things donated.on the bag wall, same items have different prices.very inconsistent.Staff is nice . read more

Very well organized and clean. Prices are among the most expensive I've ever seen at a thrift shop. Someone said if you donate they give you coupons off of your purchase. read more

Overpriced and the items are damaged and shouldn't be put on the shelves but thats the norm for these Savers stores I can tell.

Well organized and clean, but prices are NOT THRIFTY at all. All clothing is overpriced. At those prices, you're better off buying new items at a Burlington or Old navy. read more

So now that stores are beginning to open, I decided to stop in to Savers to escape quarantine / shop around. Masks are required which I was glad about. But I was truly disturbed at how unregulated this store was. People walk up and down the aisles with NO REGARD for others, and there aren't any directional lines down the clothing isles where MOST PEOPLE ARE (and the smallest isles). So, you come face to face with customers pretty often, which is not the recommended way New York State wants to regulate retail stores. There were a few times people actually brushed against me and I just felt so uncomfortable. The workers there literally could not care less. Me and my mom decided to leave after 10 minutes because we felt so unsafe and it seemed like it was getting much busier. On line to check out, they had stickers on the floor which indicated 6 ft so everyone could be safely distanced while waiting in line. However, NOBODY took this into account. We would inch up in line to get away from people and their carts were basically at our heels. Again, not one worker said ANYTHING about this and they didn't seem to care about what is going on in the store. Look, i'm not one to complain ever. Like, literally ever. I am always someone who gives the benefit of the doubt. But since there is a global wide pandemic still occurring, the store should at least have signs on the ground which regulate customers because god knows they cant do it themselves :) So yea, if you think that savers will be a safe place to escape from quarantine think again. Goodwill in Northport would be a better decision. read more

A sad excuse for Savers. Worst location out of the 3 on the island that ive been to...Racks are SCARCE. Ticket prices seem higher than the Holbrook and Bellport locations. Not the cleanest either. Dont try to find shoes here because there is about 2 aisles of those and the aisles are pretty empty. read more

Run by idiots. They sold us a rug, told us we had 24 hours to pick it up. Then, when we go back next day, it's "Oh, we sold that. sorry. we'll give you your money back and a coupon." These non-professionals can't grasp the concept that sold items should be taken off the sales floor, and held in a non-public area until it is picked up. Don't buy anything that you can't take home immediately. They screw up, and just don't care. read more

Store was clean and well organized. They had a wide variety of merchandise as well. However, the prices were a little steep for a thrift store. Staff was friendly and available when needed. My only complaint was the prices. I pay 1/3 of the prices at Amvets in Copiague. read more

Well-organized store but the prices stopped me from buying most of the items I liked. T-shirts are reasonably priced but even low-level brands like Champion, Old Navy, Gap sweatshirts marked $9.99 and above. Sales are few and far between. read more

I've been going to Savers since they opened the Commack store and had been going about once a week because, at that time, their prices were very good. However, lately I have noticed a steady increase in their prices so now I only go once every 2-3 months. read more

This place is awesome!! Last Thursday evening I donated 3 bags of stuff here and went home and realized I left my cellphone in one of the bags, I immediately ran back and told them what happened. We tried to find it but there was too much stuff so they took my name and number and told me to call back Monday at noon, which I did but no luck. I also gave them my husband's cell # in case they found it. Well Monday evening the manager Kenny called to say one of the workers found it. This phone was a new Iphone a few months old. I'm so grateful for such honest people working there. read more

Went to Savers for the first time yesterday and I am already a fan! I was looking children's clothing and found so much and great quality. The store is neat and well organized and I was very impressed. I will certainly be back and also highly recommend. read more

I've been going to Holbrook, Commack, & Medford Savers for years. Yesterday by far was my worst experience there by far. I asked the floor manager how much these surround sound speakers were in the front. She doesn't help me .... so I had to carry these large heavy speakers out to her lazy self. Then she goes "oh those are $150 each". I'm like $150....that's ridiculous for out dated speakers from 2006. She has the biggest smile & viscously answers me & says "yes, finally we raise our prices'. Well good luck .... cause no one in there right mind are going to buy them lmfao. So then I go about my business shopping for 2 hours. My cart is full & im ready to check out. I got an important phone call & stepped out side for about 5 mins. The same Caucasian heavy set floor manager put everything in my cart back on the floor. Never again will I go there.... the absolute worst management by far. Customer beware read more

If you don't go when it's 50% off sale you will be disappointed because the prices are high. You can find brand new items at other stores for the same price like Walmart, Macy's, JCP that they have sales up to 80% off. This is a FOR-PROFIT store. They get donated items for free and sell them at a profit like any regular store. They sell unsold items at a very cheap prices to other countries but they do not donate. You can ask the manager when you visit the store. I did. If it's donated, why do this company charge so much money for their items? 9.99 for a blouse? Really?? Come on. Go to the Salvation Army or other thrift stores, you will find a better bargain somewhere else! read more

I've been an avid Savers fan and always love thrift well before the Commack location opened and I absolutely love this store. Although smaller, this Savers is much cleaner on a regular basis. They always have a great selection of clothing and the prices are great....you cant really complain when the average item costs $5-$7. I recently purchased 4 outfits for about $30. I've never had a problem with their service. PLUS I love the whole donation process. read more

I really love this store. I love the things that I find and the cute things you can buy. But however, the prices are very high, I limit my self from buying what I want, but other than that, I like it overall. (Btw can you guys please clean the fitting rooms, I'm really allergic to dust and the walls in the fitting rooms are covered from top to bottom! ) read more

Very disappointed in the pricing. They do not treat the store as a thrift store. Don't waste your time at the electronics section, they are mostly broken but they still think they can sell them. They do not know what they are doing. Jeans can be as high as 40$, shirts as high as 20$ (even if it was a gap shirt that was 8$ brand new lol). They also think certain brands deserve higher pricing regardless of condition or authenticity. Even though it's donated to them for 0$ lol. Upon entry all you hear is "is that a real designer handbag for only 5$?" But in reality they keep ANYTHING designer behind te case and price it over 60$ WITHOUT EVEN AUTHENTICATING IT!!! Salvation Army and goodwill does a better job at that and they aren't even for profit!!!! smh at you guys who are profit!! When I asked why such a high price for items that could be by chance replicas they told me, "it happens...". I refuse to be but 100$ sunglasses that were probably sold on canal street for 10$. There are a fake pare of Versace sunglasses going For 80$ behind the counter. At any other thrift store, all the fake stuff is out on the racks and the real deal is behind the counter, authenticated, and usually cheaper than 80$. I believe the pricing and the staff's delusional ideas of the value of the products are skewed. Make the prices affordable for us low income people that shop there and stop fronting that you're a "thrift store" because you guys price everything according to the knowledge (or lack thereof) of the brand. I say the staff should quit savers and go work for a pawn shop read more
