Total 5-star experience from top to bottom…read more I went to Standard TV and appliance after being ignored at Home Depot. Here is how my experience went: My 40 year old washer/dryer finally bit the dust. So I wandered into Standard TV and appliance. They had a wonderful selection. Lots of different brands, sizes and styles including the new-fangled washer/dryers that do the whole deal from a single tub. They let me poke around until I started to re-view machines I'd already seen. Then a sales dude wandered over and asked if he could help me. His name was Jeff Webber. And he was awesome. the thing I loved about Jeff is that he knew a lot and wasn't shy to teach me how all the stuff worked, what was available, and what I could put together to *create* a stacked washer/dryer out of a side-by-side-designed set up. Most interesting was listening to him describe the all-in-one washers dryers...I didn't end up getting one of those, but i might in the future, and if i do it will be partly because of this experience with Jeff @ Standard. He told me I could have the machines on Wednesday. But I wanted it "now." and he promised he would try really hard to move my delivery to the top of the list. You know what? I've heard this kind of thing before...then you hang up, and it never happens, amiright? BUT IT DID HAPPEN. He got me bumped to the top of the list, and I got my machines the next day!! THANK U JEFF!!! Then? We have the delivery dudes. and they were also just great! they were careful in my home, they set the system up perfectly. and they were friendly, too. total win!

I have bought several appliances over the past few years from Community Appliance for my rental…read moreproperty, and I had been fairly happy with them. But recently I bought a refrigerator that has had to be repaired three times for the same thing. The second time my renter told me that the repairman said that the problem couldn't really be fixed and that it would happen again. So now we are on the third time and I let the woman who answers the phone know that I would come in and pick out a different refrigerator and that I would be happy to pay the difference if the new one I bought cost more. Tonight, I received a call from the owner who told me that he had picked out a refrigerator that he would take over to the rental, but that when the warranty expired in three weeks there would be no further warranty on the new refrigerator. I told him this was unacceptable to me, clearly the refrigerator was damaged beyond repair when purchased. He repeated several times that there would be no warranty and that he would choose the replacement refrig. He interrupted me and spoke over me repeatedly. He also said that he, himself, went out as the repairman the second time and that he never told my tenant that it would not be possible to fix the refrigerator. I asked for his name and he told me Louis. I asked for his last name and he refused to provide it. Then he said I was yelling at him, which I don't believe I was. I simple repeated my request for his last name. I also asked him to spell his first name and he refused. It's easy enough to find his name with a search through the Oregon Secretary of State website. It is Luis Urueta. I certainly will not ever buy another appliance through Community Appliance.

You DEFINITELY should get your major appliances here. Ask for Smiley who provides Nordstrom-level…read morecustomer service. I just finished my kitchen remodel and learned so much. Regarding buying appliances: don't just look for the store with the cheapest prices (they're basically all about the same anyway). You should think about: how will the store respond when you have a problem. I'm a self-confessed pain in the neck type of customer because I'm very indecisive and picky. I also had some snafus (all my fault--like ordering the wrong size hood and changing my mind about the custom oven I bought). Throughout all of this, Smiley was unfailingly kind and professional. He provided honest advice on the products and when things went sideways for me, he went out of his way to fix the problem and make sure I was happy and satisfied. I can't say enough great things about Eastbank Appliances and especially Smiley. Smiley is incredibly knowledgeable, honest, helpful and really understands what customer service means. Believe me: if you are buying appliances GO HERE AND ASK FOR SMILEY.

However, Hamilton's decided to partner with this company and therefore only gets 3 stars. (I was debating between 3 and 4). We bought a wall unit oven/microwave in 2021 that cost about $3k. The keypad went out. The error code is clear. The system notice tells you. We told the warranty people what the error code said. Extended warranty folks required I be home half a day. They arrive and tell me the oven needs a new keypad. Really?!?! Long story short, the oven is not repaired. It is now a full 2 months we have been without. We had to buy a countertop microwave, but still no oven. Extended Warranty keeps opening and closing tickets, and then stopped communicating because about 4 weeks after we started the process, the warranty expired. Now they don't think they have an obligation to finish the repair even though it started weeks before expiration. We had to order our own part and will install it ourselves. Thank you YouTube. Remedy will be to file small claims lawsuit for the value of the part and cost of the warranty. I only hope Hamilton's makes right with future customers and refuses selling this shoddy warranty product.
