Hi, so Save On Foods has always been my go to grocery store, especially this location in Abbotsford (Sumas) That literally all changed tonight. Before I continue let me set the setting, 10:57pm I walk into there store happy, in a good mood as I had received some good news from my wife, who i had just got off the phone with, approached by the Security Woman, she had mentioned you got 3 minutes and I thought oh okay I better hurry then. i grabbed some fruit and continued for the main essentials for my kids (Dairy). From the front door of the store till the meat aisle i kept feeling as I was being watched, looking back i saw that the security lady was indeed following me which made me really uncomfortable almost as if i was up to no good, of course which i wasn't, Was Raised Better Then That! Anyways so i thought i better hurry (I'm 6'3" and was basically speed walking to the milk) never looking back once, Only to find her literally 5 buggies behind me. It was at this point I Wasn't sure what the heck was going on, do i get pissed, which i was, or do i ignore and just smile and keep going.......... I couldn't hold it back so I went ahead and asked if i had done something wrong? She said no, I asked why i was being followed and not anyone else she responded she was just doing her job. The store had obviously closed by now and she was basically telling me to go to the till right away as you could tell she was egar as were all the other employees to go home. I could still hear beeping at the till and literally wanted to grab 1 last thing which at that point I didn't give a crap i went down that aisle it was in knowing it was the same aisle that would come out to where the only till was open. While we walked down the aisle, i am not making this up and will be talking to manager in the morning as well but, she was arm length behind me, if i had farted it would have done damage LOL hahahaha sorry i don't how else better to explain the awkwardness. Not sure why service has turned so shitty is this a normal way to be treated now? Was I in the wrong for getting upset? Was I wrong is this whole situation? From my understanding if a customer has entered the store and you havent locked the doors it is not a crime for that customer to finish what they needed, obviously in a respectful and timely manner. This experience has left a bad taste, as i felt:
- harassed
- told i would be banned from store if i didn't listen
- disrespected
- basically as if i was being thrown out of the store
People that work in customer service jobs i get it, It's hard! But if your so miserable with the job go do something else, don't ruin other peoples nights/moods experiences. Never in 32 years have I felt i needed that I needed to share my experience and write a review(wife usually does LOL i am always understanding), i guess first time for everything.
its 12:08AM on a work night and this is what I'm doing. Very Very Disappointed Save On........
