Prices are horrible.. the only thing that brought me in to shop.. was the ad( coupon book). They were completely out of the paper coupon books. I was told to go on line for the sale prices. Nightmare shopping experience . To find the coupon products was so frustrating. After scanning all my items, only one item was an actual coupon item . I was so tempted to leave my cart and walk out.. but I did buy the stuff $80 for barely anything. Went to my car feeling really bad.. I ended up going back in and returned every single item. This will be the last time to go into this store.. one of the cashiers told me they will not have paper coupon books anymore.. another told me that yes they will still have them. Horrible company to work for! They will cut your hours without any reasoning. I work in the deli and my boss, Toshya has done a horrible job training me on anything. Giant unending super-grocery store. Huge produce and bulk sections, lots of staff on hand. Did I mention it's big?

The market is hit and miss in terms of prices and what they carry, BUT the market is scrupulously clean, quiet, AND the BUTCHER will do CUSTOM cuts that would cost a fortune from a butcher shop. Seriously CANADIANS and AMERICANS both, if you barbecue or smoke meat, this is the place. I got four custom cut beef loin roasts at $3.98 a pound in about 20 minutes. That was 26 pounds of meat (almost 12 kilos) for about $100 US. That makes enough smoker roast for two family gatherings, three Sunday dinners and 20 to 30 BBQ beef sandwiches. WOW! I smoke turkeys, chickens, and roasts about once a month, and I LOVE THIS MARKET. read more

Given that this is one of only two local markets I tried repeatedly to give these people the benefit of the doubt and they never fail to disappoint. I stood at the deli counter for Untold minutes whilst three different workers ignored me, finally just Shrugged my shoulders and walked away while one stared at me leaving. I got to the checkout only to have the slowest Checker known to man. three other people behind me went to a closed lane that had just opened and made it through before I even got to the checkout and then she stopped and took somebody else that she had apparently been working on some type of transaction with and didn't bother to tell me and put her in front of me and concluded her transaction without any type of comment or apology . As I approached she asked me how I was doing , I replied well and kind of frustrated and told her my Deli story.... no comment no apology then she proceeded to put the large bottles of bottled water into the flimsy plastic bags 3 at a time. When I pick them up the bags ripped and the bottles tumbled out of course. She made no attempt to assist to me to repack them to apologize nothing. As I was trying to get them all into my basket she held out the receipt for my transaction while my hands were full as I proceeded to put the bottles into the cart she said in a loud tone here's your receipt! Annoyed that I was keeping her waiting for those all of 1 to 2 seconds. Unbelievable I generally don't take the time to post reviews like this I don't find them very productive and everybody can have an off-day what a horrific experience and no wonder there's not more than 12 people in the store when Safeway across the way is packed I have never seen people so lazy and indifferent is this the fact that most of their Dairy goods are sold after expiration date wasn't bad enough you have to add insult to injury.
