I visited Lepp Farmer's Market to get local products such as vegetables, fruits, cured meats, condiments, ready-to-serve items, and fresh meats. I also visit this place for food events. The "Taste of the Market" event is always organized before the Christmas season each year. I always enjoy the vendors' products, such as cheese, cooked foods, chocolate, olive oil, cured meats, desserts, and more. This event is really fun! Each product is unique and delicious, and we get to try small bites from every vendor. This year, all the vendors' foods were excellent. I especially enjoyed Mt. Lehman Cheese's aged cheddar, Those Pretzels, Lepp Market's turkey cranberry sausage, Grass Roots' smoked cheese, Madame Loïk's whipped cheese, Callister Craft Soda, Centennial's cookie dough spread, Fraser Valley hazelnuts, Charlie Ivy's olive oil, and a cranberry spread served on top of nachos (unfortunately, I forgot the vendor's name). It was a fantastic event that I attend every year. If you missed it, I highly recommend checking it out next year! read more

Beautiful farm market with extremely fresh produce. They have their own Lepp branded bread, juice, ice cream, coffee beans, meats, etc. Many cuts of meat that look top quality. Of course everything was quite pricey because you pay for the quality. The day I went, they featured fresh raw (not fermented or heated) hot sauce by local BC brand Caliente. The owner of the business was there giving samples on homemade chips! It was delicious and felt good to support local. They have their Lepp ice cream stand outside, $5.95 for a scoop. There are picnic tables outside with umbrellas to have your ice cream. We took home half pints for $6.95. It is some of my favourite ice cream because they use full fruits (strawberry, blueberry, raspberry flavours) and it has a velvety texture. Their cafe inside has great classic bakery items like red velvet cake, cinnamon buns, scones. They have coffee, sandwiches, soup which makes the market a great stop when travelling through the lower mainland and wanting a quick bite. The beef goulash was amazing! So hearty almost like a chili, bits of beef throughout. Lemon square could've been more sour. It was quite sweet and the frosting was additional sweetness. Coffee was standard. They said they use Ricardo coffee beans. There is bar style seating inside. You can also buy their food items frozen to take home! read more

We went to a couple of Abbotsford's Farm Markets today and I would say Lepp's tops the list for me!! Loved all of the specialty food items! A great place to buy amazing ingredients for your next Charcuterie Board...or if time is tight we talked to one of the staff that works on the Charcuterie Boards from their Catering menu! Was such a helpful guy and takes pride in the work they do! The boards that he showed us were both beautiful and plentiful. A Charcuterie dream destination! Being close to Easter we were excited to see the Paska Bread...it was so yummy...a sweet bun with lemon zest, buttercream icing and sprinkles!! As we sat and shared our Paska...it was seriously HUGE...we watched as they pulled huge trays of roasted tomatoes and onions from the ovens...they looked and smelt so delicious. I love cooking and I was very impressed with the quality of ingredients! I left wanting to create more Charcuterie and picnics!! My only regret would be not buying the Elderflower and Rose Cordial and more of the Weck canning jars...I will be back soon! read more

I recently discovered Lepp Farm Market on a recent trip to Mission and stopped in for a look and a coffee mocha. The fresh produce looked great and was very reasonably priced. I enjoyed the little cafe which I think was named table Cafe and the coffee mocha was one of the best I've had in a long time. I also picked up a small loaf of quinoa bread which I had never seen before and it tastes very good and would purchase again if I'm back this way. read more

Fresh produce as always, make a habit of dropping by whenever duty calls to see clients between Mission & Abbotsford. Outdoor seating too, plenty of parking. I bought a chicken pot pie from their store on Railway street in Abbotsford. It cost over $8.00 and it was very small, but I thought for that price it must be good!! Lepp is a special place. You don't make the trip out here for cheap food, but great food. Local meats and seasonal produce and sauces, condiments and other cooking products made by small businesses and artisanal producers. I could never afford to do all my grocery shopping in a gourmet store, but this is a place to treat yourself to the best! (Incidentally, I found some of the same products priced slightly higher over at Bruce's Country Market in Maple Ridge.) However, I could come here just for the cafe. Maybe it had to do with the fact that I visited Lepp on Bacon Day (!!!), but they make some hella creative dishes here. My friend had an eye-popping BLT and I enjoyed a serving of perogies showered with tender bacon bits. I ordered the Nanaimo bar for dessert out of instinct (almost as good as Grandma's), but my friend was kind enough to share the dessert I just missed seeing: maple bacon brownies with caramel sauce. We took home some Chocolate Piggies - bacon slices dipped in dark chocolate! Perhaps not healthy, but indulgence is good for the soul, right? They're always doing special events highlighting the local farmers, so we make it a stop on those agricultural field trips. There are cooking classes, and check out the recipes on the website too. I really want to love this place. But I only like it. Staff are friendly. Produce/meat is local. They have a great brand/image/atmosphere. But they are way over priced. I could deal with the high prices if the quality was immaculate, but I was in a little while ago and the produce was not 'all that'. "But Jenn, it's winter... the off season." Ok yes I know, but then the prices should change. If you can't deliver an amazing product, you shouldn't charge like it is. But by the way... the half sweet flavored steamed milk is amazing. Essentially another "boutique" grocery store posing as a "farm market." Entirely overpriced and plenty of designer trophy wives there spending hubby's money. Many of the same products are available at other nearby grocers for 30 to 40% less. Numerous pretty little jars of sauces/condiments with names like "Julie's own" and "Marilyn's" to conjure images of a woman making home-cooked food in her farmhouse kitchen. What a great little place. I had the opportunity, thanks to an old cadet friend, to see Anna Olson bake here on Mother's Day (I have dogs, they count as kids lol). It was fantastic. Not only did I get to see and taste her baking, I also got a signed cook book as well. Apparently they hold cooking classes here as well. You would have to go in there to see the set up but it's like having a television kitchen in the market. As for the Market side, it's quaint and has some great quality products. I like the old look of the place as well, really plays up the "farm" look of the place. I would definitely come back here for a high profile baker like Anna Olson and if I happened to be in the area, I would definitely shop here!!!! read more

Very over priced. The ready made food looks a lot better then it tastes. I attempted to buy a ready made quarter chicken. Although there was a white meat quarter she refused to sell it to me staying the quarter chicken was a leg only. Not really sure what they do with the white meat when they quarter the chickens. Also quarter chicken is $3.89 half chicken is just under $10!!! I would think half would be a little less then double the price of a quarter, but NO almost 3 times the price!! Great groceries but wayyy too over priced you can get the same brands for less at other markets in town. These guys love to gouge. They usually have the best ribs in town. One time i got there and they had a 1/4 rack left. She said she could make some for me if i could wait 15mins. How do you make ribs in 15mins?? i still got four racks and when i got home they were not the same ribs at all. They were tough chewy and impossible to eat no one finished them and they were 55$. Whoever does the pricing here has serious issues. If the prices were normal i would do all my shopping at Lepp but i just go here for 2-3 items i cant get at other stores read more

I live in the area of Lepp Farm Market so I hoped it would become my "go to" place for groceries My monthly grocery bill would be astronomical if I shopped there on a regular basis. Bought 2 Ribeye steaks, 20$ a cut of meat... the next day I went to cook it up for lunch upon unwrapping it I found the bottom side of the two steaks had brown splotches all over... I called and told them and was told that the brown splotches are normal and just a "chemical reaction" from the papers they use to separate the meat! WTF is that!?!? well stupid me then cooked one up and yep, it were spoiled as I had thought. so 40$ down the drain on their garbage. Too bad I cant attach a picture of the one I havent yet cooked.... gag... I dont know why I took their word for it.... read more

Today after going for a walk we popped into Lepps for a bit to eat. Not bad but not great either. We continued after lunch to shop for a few things. Hubby wanted Pulled Pork sandwiches for dinner, so I inquired at the deli, when was the pulled pork cooked? The deli server went and looked, came back and said, SATURDAY. Today is THURSDAY...That's 5 days old! I asked if they had anything fresher than that. She brought out a tray that she said was cooked on Tuesday, I was hoping that this was true and ignored my "gut feeling" (pardon the pun) and went ahead and purchased it anyway. We ate the pulled pork about 45 minutes ago and it has upset our stomachs already. I've worked in a deli at Wholefoods and we were supposed to only store cooked meat for about 3 days MAX. At least that's what I do at home. I will never buy their cooked meats again. Apart from that, their products are way overpriced for what they are. If their product was mostly Non GMO or Organic I wouldn't mind paying their prices but that's not the case. I buy some products from SPUD too and their prices are LOWER than Lepps! read more
