Covid-19 phase: Great store and very clean. Well taken care of. I went here to get some groceries. Got stuff like turkey sausages, protein bars, New York steak, detergent, steak seasonings, bagels and cream cheese. They did not have toilet paper and were out of a lot of stuff on the cleaning isle. Still got a lot of stuff. They also have sales on items everywhere! The social distancing is very much practiced! The workers were nice and they all had masks on. This deli department is hands-down the worst I've ever experienced. The counter staff acts like they're doing you a favor just for showing up. No eye contact, no acknowledgment, and absolutely no sense of customer appreciation. The way the food is slopped onto trays is unacceptable -- there's zero pride in presentation or service. This isn't just a store -- it's a neighborhood grocery. People in this community come here expecting a standard of care and respect. The least you can do is serve food like it's going to your own family. Show some effort. Show some pride. My boyfriend ordered me a cake for my birthday, which is 6 days before Halloween. He called and told them to do whatever they wanted as long as it was a Halloween themed cake, and we were blown away! You can tell the decorator had so much fun making this cake. It tasted yummy too!! read more

Great store and the people are very friendly. The meat department manager Mike is always willing to help and he seems to enjoy his job. The cashiers are friendly but miss when baggers would help people out. They all avoid helping and that was. Great service that the store would provide. There is a guy who works the frozen food, Brandon and he has so much energy and spirit that he always wants to help and with a great smile. I've had him a few times as a cashier when it's busy and never has he acted bothered that he stops his normal job. read more

The last two times I've to this store I've just left the things on the counter and walked away. The issue? COUPONS. This ridiculous store and ridiculous coupons. Too often the customer is confused, the coupons aren't in the system and/or cashier doesn't know squat or can't fix the issue, leaving the rest of us waiting in line. My time is valuable to me, just like it is to everyone else. Now if you're going to have some stupid coupon system...fine. Great. But make sure it's a functional system. Otherwise you're just wasting people's time. When you waste my time I just take my money somewhere else and I tell people about my experience at your store. You want loyal customers? Stop with the BS coupons and sales. Have good prices all the time without sales and coupons. That way people keep coming back cuz it's easy and inexpensive. The prices of most items in store are double what I pay at Winco. I recently bought chicken here when the deal was buy one get one free. I took the chicken home and noticed some of the pieces were yellow which usually means its an old chicken. I ate one of the picnic packs and it was okay but when I thawed out the second one it smelled like baby diapers. I threw the chicken out and the wings I bought that were super large like they came from an old chicken also. Be wary of the buy one get one free meat. I was surprised since it was Foster Farms chicken which is a big name brand.I never understand this store who's policy to keep up with the competition is to double their prices. Maybe that is why their stores are always empty. I don't think I will be shopping at any of their stores anymore except food maxx which is way better. One star is being generous. This review is for the Save Mart on Shaw and Armstrong Avenue in Clovis. I ordered a cake here for my daughter's birthday. Whoever decorated this cake did a great job! I asked for pink, purple and yellow. It even had 2 shades of pink, light pink and bright pink. Seems like little thing but someone took time to do that. The flowers were beautiful! This cake looked more like it came from a fancy bakery instead of a grocery store bakery. Also it was delicious! Both people who helped me when I ordered and also when I picked up the cake were very friendly, helpful. Great bakery here! read more

Waited in line to return my rosas dairy creamer bottles. Cashier rudely RUDELY seemed disappointed & passed me off unhappily to management. Not sure if the manager was mad she got called from Super Bowl in the back room or just got a crappy employer review.... but no eye contact, no conversation, not even a greeting, moved sluggishly, slammed a bottle almost excitedly and said "NOT OURS!" .. didn't realize it of course.. because I really prefer the other store that carries another bottled dairy products & WANT to shop there. Which is why I procrastinate going to this store always. Ugh. The most careless, ugly, rude staff I've ever had to endure. read more

This store I notice when I enter that there's a bunch of young adults all hanging out at one register when not busy. Like there's nothing to do around the store. It doesn't feel professional like Vons. I get that it's the only store in the neighborhood but it seems more like a hangout then a business place. At times there's no one insight to help me find what I'm looking for. I only go there once or twice a year and I feel the staff is rude and they don't have customer service skills. Normally go to Food Maxx over this place. Cashiers are rude and dont know how to greet anyone. Asking for help on the floor is pointless as well. Very disappointed in the bakery. Ordered a cake and when I came to pick it up, the cake was not what was ordered. Ok, so they offered to remake the cake...I said ok. I waited about 15 mins and they presented another cake. The outside of the cake was pretty close to to what I originally wanted but the filling was overfilled and the cake had to be returned because it had broken in half due to over filling of it. The 3rd attempt was just to exchange the cake with something pre made that was in the display case. Will never use them again As far as the other items in the store are concerned...Why does the staff ask you when you are going through the check out..."did you find everything alright"? After repeatedly telling the staff...."No, I did not find what I was looking for" you don't have.... Mi Rancho Tortillas 40oz size of I Can't Believe It's Not Butter LITE Fat Free American Cheese Either stock these items or get out of my way. Some of The workers here are not the kindest, I come here a lot because I work nearby so I met all kinds of workers here. So, some of my kiddos wanted to try the dragon fruits so bad I had called Save Mart to see if they carry any at the moment. I called the produce department but no answer, so I called the bakery department. A lady had answered the phone with so much attitude, as if I've done something wrong, and asked me what is it that I need, so I told her. Disappointed. I just bought a tub of Greek yogurt.. drive all the way home and discovered it is a week past date. Needed it for tonight, so super inconvenient and gross. Makes me wonder how often they check and rotate their food. Also, I called customer service to let them know - hoping for at least a quick exchange .. and though polite on the phone and apologized- didn't ask what product it was or try to make the situation better. When I got there, nobody was working the customer service desk.. and did nothing to help. They were rude and dismissive. I picked up a new yogurt, brought it to the counter and basically said I could just leave with it.. I tried to nicely engage with the staff workers and they just ignored me. I usually love this store which is why my trip today really threw me for a loop. I went to the bakery looking for a birthday cake for my husbands birthday. There was one cake in particular that caught our eye however my son thought it looked 'too girly' so I asked the woman at the counter helping us if they could get some blue icing to wrap around the base of the cake so that it would look a little more masculine. The look on their faces was as if I was asking them to re-ice an entire wedding cake! They (the two girls behind the counter) answered me with such attitude accompanied with dirty looks. One of the girls in particular was extremely rude and loud. What I was asking them to do was as simple of a request as asking them to write 'Happy Birthday' on the cake. I am just appalled to receive service like this from Savemart. I will not return to the bakery department at this store. I had heard the Savemart bakery carrot cake was good so I ordered it for my mom's 95th birthday party at here senior living center. I got the largest size. I asked for the cream cheese frosting. It was so delicious! It had big chunks of nuts along with raisins. Cream cheese frosting was delicious also. We got so many compliments from partiers on this Clovis Savemart cake! I didn't think store bought cakes could be this good. It didn't have too much allspice or nutmeg (don't know what that spice is but I don't like it!) So it was perfect! The woman who decorated cake did a great job too! My elderly mom LOVES turquoise and purple so the delicate cake flowers were that color. This bakery had great customer service and I'll return in a jiffy when I need a carrot cake again! read more

I gave three stars because it is a very nice store , large variety of items. Helpful staff . Clean. But I went shopping a few days ago and the cashier was rude , she gave me no eye contact, didn't greet as I approached the counter, wasn't even facing me when she handed me my receipt, she was busy gossiping with a couple of coworkers, one was obviously the bag lady and another who really had no business being there other than to gossip. Unprofessional, she was an older Mexican woman. She was courteous and attentive to the old white man in front of me . I guess she didn't have HER JOB on her mind once it came to helping me . We are in the Central Valley, and this store cannot seem to get decent produce! How does that happen? What produce they do have seems a bit overpriced compared to Von's. This store must stay in business because it is in a largely residential area and the customers have no other place to go. I stopped by here because I happen to be on Shaw on the way home. I've been a loyal customer for well over a decade, now. Yet, I only stop for a few items based on convenience. The main reason, if not the only reason I shop there is that there are worse stores in this region. Yes, for the most part. They are not a friendly bunch when it comes to Customer Relations. I find that their Quality & Selection is exceedingly limited. They are usually out of stock on many items I regularly buy. For an "Agricultural Region", I find their produce quality abysmal. Meat & Poultry remind me more of "Frankenfood" than anything natural. Though the stores are clean. The only reason I don't shop elsewhere is at least, they are not constantly in my face. Selling some Data Mining Scheme and trying to Brow-Beat me into some silly "Rewards" Scam. read more

I live down the street from here. This store carries what I need when I don't want to go to the food4less or whatever they call it. Just take note that they are busy from 5-7pm when people are getting off of work. So for you dumb asses out there who try and a pull a women I would recommend doing it at later time. Take note that during the times of 8-5 the people from the DMV and High School Frequent this are. Parking is great but some people love to drive monster trucks and take up more than one spot. I ordered a minion cake for my nephew's 1st birthday party; there was a special for first b-day cake, you pay for 1/4 sheet and get a smash cake free. Awesome right, except when I asked the gal what size is the smash cake, she told me, it was an 8in, i though oh wow that is a pretty big smash cake, I even confirmed it with her. I asked are you sure it's not the 5in, she assured me it was 8in. I said okay than. I started putting the rest of my order in.. well long story short, I order chocolate, and got vanilla and the smash cake was 5in. read more
