After spending several hundred dollars on fertilizer treatments and more than a thousand dollars on pruning, the trees likely need to be replaced (see the picture below and decide for yourself whether you would hire this crew). The company representative had the audacity to blame the situation on me suggesting that I should have contacted them earlier. Terrible way to treat customers, especially when this company is so expensive. Terrible service, terrible quality and even worse value. Fair warning. you should look elsewhere for your tree care needs.

The tree was quickly removed but it was a 3 star maybe 3.5 star experience because of the additional work needed to coordinate everything. The good: - competitive quote and they were able to come by quickly to assess the work - flexible in bringing equipment that worked with tight openings - main tree removal was done in 5 hours - removed paver stones so they wouldn't be damaged by machinery - friendly and professional. They accommodated a special request to cut a section for a table The bad: - rescheduling was a huge pain. We had to go back and forth for 3 weeks and I had to proactively follow up to confirm if they were coming - unable to grind the stump as part of the initial quote so had to pay another $400 for them to come back with a different machine - never got an invoice despite asking for one multiple times To summarize, this seems to be a nice family business that has experience removing trees quickly. However, it doesn't appear there is a back office that keeps everything organized so you're going to have to do a lot of work to stay on top of things.

Most were less than stellar to put it mildly, but Adrian was easily the most professional, genuine and knowledgable I met with. He was understanding, thorough, kind and honestly a joy to work with. I had absolute trust in everything he suggested and all the work he performed. He made some suggestions along the way that I would never have though of on my own and the work was performed exactly as discussed. He suggested cabling our tree that has two trunks in order to give it more support and minimize the chances of it ever falling. I didn't even know that was an option so I feel much more at ease now knowing our yard is safe for my daughter and our dog. He and his employees left our yard and driveway cleaner than they were before the work began. After the first day of work, you honestly wouldn't have been able to tell trees had been cut down or branches had been ground up, the job site was that clean. He even suggested a tree swing for our daughter as she grows older and installed the roping to make it happen. The branches on our trees are 20-30 feet up so there would have been no way for me to do it on my own, so I appreciated that immensely. I will be saving his number for any future work. I expected his quote to be higher than other companies because they don't use heavy equipment (which can damage your property/driveway) but it was actually less than other tree companies I met with. I can't recommend Adrian and an Artist's touch highly enough!

Their arborists know their stuff, they explained all the ins and outs of specific tree species, made recommendations, and worked with us to make us satisfied. Their crew was amazing. So, they recommended removing three fruit trees. They did not mention that my town has a tree warden, that one needs a permit to remove trees larger than 8" in diameter, that there are stiff penalties for not complying. I only found out by accident and when I asked them about it they were flippant - "yeah the homeowner needs to do that..." like it never occurred to them to let me know. I have never experienced a contractor/tradesman not letting me know about needing a permit, rolling it into the cost and just doing the work. The penalties could have been in the thousands. Their arborist always seemed like he would rather be elsewhere. Never took ownership of the work. Never supervised the guys who actually came out to do the work. Didn't follow up unless I called him. Just checked out.
