Sava's Pizza is a staple here in town. They are always, busy so order ahead or be patient. They are consistent in the food they produce. He you will find average Greek pizza, no Italian. Greek pizza is mostly what you will here in this little town, There a few places that serve Italian pizza if that is what you seek. The biggest credit I can give to Sava's pizza is that they are generous with their toppings and they get even coverage through the whole pie. The crust is light and a little flaky. Their downfall is that they are busy and they are trying to produce faster than they really can, and this comes at the cost of pizza that really should have staying in the over another 5 minutes. They are consistent though. Every time we order they are undercooked for our liking (and I am sure for many others as well). There are many options in town (two others less than a 1/2 mile away), so I think this will be our last time at Sava's for their pizza. Maybe I will try them sometime for a sandwich. Haven't had Savas in a longggg while. I'll never wait that long again! Great customer service over the phone & for pick up. Got a small chourico pizza & when I say it's the best around, I mean it!!! Paper thin sliced chourico & plenty of it!!! Also got a small pepperoni & pineapple pizza which was also amazing. The pepperoni flavor is spicy & unlike any other roni you get elsewhere. Can't wait to order again soon as I was told they use REAL STRIPS OF BACON for pizza toppings. Those weird crumble particles you find at most places these days are just wrong. This place has been one of my favorites since I was a kid, and the inside brings back so many memories for me. The people working are always friendly and the tables are always clean. Their pizza is my favorite in the area and they have the best tuna sub I've ever had. I am only giving 4/5 stars because my sister cannot have gluten, so she typically orders their salads which are mediocre at best and feature an overwhelming amount of onions. One of our favorites! Their boneless buffalo tenders are unique and delicious. Love their blue cheese. They have one of the best chourico pizzas. They use shaved slices of chourico instead of ground chourico. Service is friendly and fast! read more

Ordered for the first time here recently. Best pizza I've had in a while. Ordered a meatball, pepperoni, and onion pizza. They do not skimp on the toppings at all. Pizza was loaded! Pizza was enjoyable, until I discovered a long brown hair in my pizza. Upon the finding of this hair, I decided to call Savas and explain that I wasn't upset but to let them know about the circumstance. The first time my call was accepted, a young woman answered; when I explained what happened she stammered and asked to "uh, please hold". It was then I was hung up on and thought this must have been a mistake. I had been a customer for several years and was determined to let them know of the incident to help their business. The second time I had made it through someone had picked up and played some kind of feedback through the microphone seemingly like a bad connection. I've always heard great things about Savas. I've honestly only ordered a few times from here. The positives, portion sizes are big. A small sub/grinder will fill you up. The staff are friendly. The location is bigger than I expected looking at it from the outside. Downside, no matter what I order it seems theyve overcooked each item. Pizza is really brown, grinders are over toasted and the meat can be dried out. Also the first time I visited i made the mistake of not calling ahead. Wait times compared to other pizza shops is about twenty to thirty minutes longer. Also, they only take cash. I've visited smaller places that use Square card readers. They do have an ATM machine but then you're charged a fee. I will give them another try in the future but I'll make sure to call ahead and advice on taking out my order earlier. Very good pizza, excellent calzones, salads are very good (single salad large enough for 2-3 people with plenty of ingredients, in fact the majority of their food is very good. The portions are well worth the prices. The interior is clean, service friendly and efficient. Can be very busy at times. They have a liquor license and serve beer (large frosted mugs) and wine at very reasonable prices. You can bring the family, leave full and not leave your pay check. Seating Area with wide screen TV they also serve some fried foods, as well as spaghetti, and sandwiches. A definite go to for pizza, you've got to try it. I've had many folks I know from outside the area try their pizza to give feedback, and every single person demands I find a way to get some for Super Bowl and birthday parties. We frequently order pizza (bacon and pineapple light on the pineapple extra crispy is my FAVORITE) buff chicken platter (fries are better well done or crispy), tuna subs, chourice and chips, plus they have beer and homemade root-beer! the one time i was unhappy and called to let them know (as we are frequent customers) there was a new pizza at my door 15 mins later even tho I refused it over the phone! While I love supporting local and "holes in the wall" are usually my favorite, I've been so disappointed with Savas. My husband loves their pizza but a few times we opted for wings and 3 times in a row we ordered one traditional and one boneless buffalo meal. Only one time did they get it right. The other 2 times they gave us one boneless and one chicken tender (that weren't even very good). Even after ensuring we were all on the same page during ordering, it kept happening. (Read off their menu and asked to clarify to make sure we knew what we were ordering). I'm all about second chances but I think I'll be going somewhere else from now on. Things at Savas are not looking good lately... i.e everytime I call to order I get a cocky teenager. Whenever I care to order my fav..CHOURIÇO & CHIP Grinder they tell me there's (no word of a lie) an HOUR AND A HALF wait on all fried food. Why? I Use to love Savas, however...over an hour wait..never mind an.."aahhh over an hour and a halllf wait for any fried food.." It's just not worth it, nor is it that good to deal with your rude staff. Pizza here is okay - traditional Greek style and greasy. Boneless buffalo meal is my favorite and my husband loves the steak grinders. Wouldn't ever eat in as it feels like a badly decorated VFW hall. And for take out, anything from the fryalator takes over an hour on weekends because I've heard they only have ONE!!! So call well in advance. And my god Savas, PLEASE INVEST IN ANOTHER FRYALATOR!! The wait is a bit ridiculous and I'm debating whether it's worth the food. Savas is the jewel of Somerset! Tuna Salad is the best in the country, try either their tuna salad or tuna grinder. You will never want to get tuna sale anywhere else.
