When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by their design staff. We also met Meredith, who works in the store nearly everyday. We also met Tim who worked with us to find pieces for our transitional design. The store has a great mix of fine Baker furniture and more affordable pieces. Whether your looking to spend $$$$ or $$, you'll be able to find high quality beautiful designs. If you'd like something customized or something they don't have in store, they're happy to order it for you. They also have really wonderful wall art and accessories at reasonable prices. Tim even made several house visits and made recommendations based on our architecture and taste. He was very thoughtful and so fun to work with! I love that Meredith is so present in her store. She is a Baker furniture expert, and I believe one of the only Baker suppliers in Houston. If you love beautiful furniture and excellent service, this is your place!

They were so professional throughout the design process and responded promptly to all my questions. As you may know, when you're having work completed on your house, the process can become unnerving because you want to know what's going on and you want to make sure it's done to your liking. But Leah and her crew eased my fears (and husbands) and never hesitated to provide an update when we asked for one. The accent walls in our living room, master and my son's room were designed with us in mind. And the style matches our swag perfectly! I was really creeped out It's in a really shady location Overall, they do have a great selection, but the sales people are the reason I will never return. They make awkward jokes and have an attitude about them. They also didn't take me seriously until I told them how much I could spend (mainly because i'm in my early 20s). Edit... Apparently they neglected to charge me for labor then tried to get me to pay it anyway. I told them exactly what my budget was, so they had no reason to go over it. It ended up being $100 under budget without labor, so no, I'm not going to pay it if you didn't put it in my estimate and tried to go over budget. That said, they do not work well with home owners. I did not call or email, I went to their store, with precise measurements, and a list of the windows I needed. Full disclosure, I have worked in construction and was able to install the windows myself. They are an excellent shop, but so busy they don't have time to deal with home owners who have lots of questions and won't come back to buy again even if they love the windows they buy. Here's how to work with them. Hire a contractor who installs windows and ask them to go with you to the store and order the windows. Expect to pay at least half the money when you order. You will need precise measurements (if the windows don't fit, you pay for the error) so get those before you go to the store. Order the windows and make room in your garage ready so they can deliver them before your contractor is ready to install them.

We wanted a designer involved early in the process. I saw an ad for Eklektik Interiors and was impressed by their style - I called to make an appointment. We were very fortunate that Stephanie Vaughn was assigned as our designer. Stephanie was instrumental in assisting us with locating and making selections of designer materials - saving us countless hours. She was very attentive to our ideas and comments. We both love design; therefore this was very important to us. She is great at interpreting an idea and making it happen! Stephanie proved to be a great mediator between husband and wife, between homeowner and contractor, and at times, between contractor and subs. Her involvement was extremely helpful to my husband and I in keeping the construction ball rolling. Her soft approach to problem-solving is truly a gift. With our vision and Stephanie's input and expertise, we truly achieved the "wow" factor and now live in a showcase home. Visitors aren't sure of what to look at first because we created so many interesting design elements in the house. Stephanie is a real asset to the design industry. We would definitely use her again in future projects.
