Stephanie was instrumental in assisting us with locating and making selections of designer materials - saving us countless hours. She was very attentive to our ideas and comments. We both love design; therefore this was very important to us. She is great at interpreting an idea and making it happen! Stephanie proved to be a great mediator between husband and wife, between homeowner and contractor, and at times, between contractor and subs. Her involvement was extremely helpful to my husband and I in keeping the construction ball rolling. Her soft approach to problem-solving is truly a gift. With our vision and Stephanie's input and expertise, we truly achieved the "wow" factor and now live in a showcase home. Have been meaning to stop in ever since they moved into the neighborhood and during my surprise day off the other day I did just that. I was a bit apprehensive of how I would be received due to the previous review and I could not have had a different experience. I was warmly greeted upon immediately entering. Every employee that I encountered offered assistance and was so incredibly warm and gracious. I was invited to explore the entire store even places that I would not have ventured on my own. They have an amazing selection of really cool house decor, rugs, pictures, knick knack paddy whacks. John Taylor was my main designer and he did an amazing job on my house. He helped me design the layout, elevations, do selections and furniture. I had some difficulties with my builder and John was able to help me navigate the best way to handle the issues and then manage the solution to fix them. I am so happy with the outcome and everyone who walks in and sees my house has nothing but amazing things to say about how gorgeous the house looks. I visited the place on Shepard at around 3:00 on Thursday. So they weren't getting ready to close or anything like that. We came straight from the "job site" where we are building our new home. I don't think we looked like hobos or aliens or anything. I wanted to get a feel for this groups style and see if I might want to work with them. Well, no. Three people were busy working on the counter with all the samples. It wasn't that the display area is a crazy wreck of every style......it was the fact that not one of those busy people could take out 2 seconds to say "welcome" or "hello" or anything. We milled around for at leave 5 minutes, nothing. They were only a half a room away. Rude! This place is a pass for me. read more

Our home in Bellaire got flooded during Harvey and we decided to hire Eklektik Interiors to assist in the recovery/remodeling of our home. They brought great ideas that we would never thought about it. They provided input and suggestions for all the details. I gave them pictures and ideas of what I had in mind and they put together a final improved design. They also have great contacts regarding contractors and vendors. Our designer was John Taylor, he has been absolutely nice, pleasant and great to work with. This was the event from hell, I would never recommend this group of unprofessional women to anyone. I met with the owner Kathy at my home to lay out our renovation project, when I got to their messy studio, they had the wrong colors, the wrong concepts, it was like they were deaf and never met with me. We overcame that because they came with good recommendations, they must be very old recommendations. We ordered furniture, window treatments, interior painting, flooring, big 50k+ renovations. NOTHING went well, the painter was messy, the window treatments did not fit the window...oopps, we used the wrong measurements. One delay after another and nownthe couch gets delivered and its the wrong couch...really???? They take no responsibility and are horrible to deal with, keepe looking dont stop here. read more
