This tour provides some great info on the Bonaventure cemetery. Tim, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and entertaining in his guiding us through the cemetery. We were able to ask questions and we felt like we really got to know some of the fascinating history there. Would highly recommend read more

Am amazing tour lead by Tim. Picked up at our rental in a very comfortable van/bus. Tim is kind, a true local for generations and is very interesting to listen to. He loves his job and the tour was fantastic. He gives us the trues stories, not gimmick or made up stuff. Highly recommended! read more

I was thinking about visiting the Bonaventure Cemetery for its history and unique landscape, and when an employee at the Savannah Visitor Center and my tour guide from a candlelit history and ghosts walking tour both called out Dash Tours as the best, then I looked into how to squeeze it in my trip. Tim, the owner, prefers you text him versus call and leave messages, and I can attest that process was efficient and effective! He had an opening on a day that I could make work with my itinerary, so it worked out. He picks up the guests at their hotel or at a mutually agreed upon location that is still convenient. We started with a walking tour of the "old cemetery" and he gave us the history behind some of the notable graves and monuments, as well as the landscape. Afterward, he drove us through the "new cemetery" and pointed out some of those highlights. He answered our questions along the way and dropped us off where we wanted to go after the tour. Tim is great, and the Bonaventure tour was well worth my time and money! read more

Our tour guide, Tim, kept us informed of pick-up times and was right on time. The tour was interesting from the very beginning as he gave us historical insight into things along the way. It was obvious that he has done a lot of research. At the cemetery he was able to answer all of our questions and gave us a lot of information about the various grave sites. We would definitely recommend this tour for true stories about Savannah's past. read more

Wonderful experience. Tim was great and very knowledgeable. Loved learning more about the history of Savannah and some Savannah's family's.

This was truly an amazing tour. Tim, was warm and friendly the entire day. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel. Tim and his family go back many generations in Savannah, so his knowledge of the city and the cemetery was impressive. We loved listening to his stories. The driving and walking combination of the cemetery was perfect, although we could have listened to Tim's stories for many more hours ! Do not hesitate to book this tour, it was perfect ! read more

Tim is hands down the best guide for exploring this historic cemetery. As a Savannah native, he brings incredible knowledge not only about the cemetery itself, but about all aspects of the city's rich history. Tim comes well-prepared with essentials like water, umbrellas, and bug spray (trust me, you'll need it!). His genuine enthusiasm for the cemetery, local art, and Savannah's history is infectious--he's wonderfully nerdy about it in the best possible way. You absolutely cannot go wrong booking this tour with him. read more

I highly recommend this tour with Timothy. He picks you up and drops you back. Provides water. And the best thing is all the amazing history of Savannah this man has stored in his head and you can tell he truly enjoys sharing it with everyone. My daughter and I loved our day spent with him at Bonaventure listening to all the stories. read more

I purposely did not want to tell about all the pictures as Tim our tour guide is an amazing tour guide and everyone should have the ability to take his tours and enjoy his thought-provoking, in depth and well thought out description of history. We knew from previous friends who visited Savannah that we should visit he bought a Bonaventure cemetery. We did some research online and decided to choose Tim because he was a fourth generation Savannah. Tim picked us up in his van at our hotel. As Tim picked up the other parties he told us about the different history as we were driving through downtown historic Savannah. Upon arriving at Bonaventure cemetery Tim told us how the two would go and how he would drive us around a little bit then we would do a walking tour and then we would conclude with a final drive around the cemetery. The tour was about an hour and a half but total 2 hours with the pickup and drop off at our respective hotels or location that we wanted to be dropped off at. Tim is one of the few tour guides set First of all I was born and raised here and second of all told us the history and not embellishment of things. I would definitely recommend him if you want to see Bonaventure cemetery. read more

If you only take one tour while you're in Savannah, make it this one. Tim is excellent. He has family buried at the cemetery, reads old newspapers for fun and knows all the stories about Savannah and its history. It truly helps having a guide who was born & raised in Savannah and isn't just reading off of a script. Tim picked us up right at our hotel and shared interesting info with us on our way to the cemetery. We not only toured the old, more historic part of Bonaventure, but dabbled into some of the new areas. I think the tour was over two hours long and we could have stayed and listened to him all day. read more

If you're ever in Savannah, take a Bonaventure Dash Tour with owner and tour guide Tim. The smaller group size enables conversations that explore history rather than straining to hear a guide over crowds of 20 or 30. Tim is a sixth-generation Savannah native who shares true history as opposed to folklore. He knows his stuff and makes the stories of Savannah's past come alive. We highly recommend this tour. read more

I was really looking forward to seeing this cemetery and was not disappointed with our guide, Tim. He has a ton of knowledge and is very friendly. I had no idea of some of the history contained in his tour and he really brought us all up to speed. He was on time and at the end, he let us pick where we wanted to be dropped off. Highly recommend this company. read more

Savannah Bonaventure Dash Tours is one of the best options for Bonaventure Cemetery. Why you should take this tour: + Tim is a very knowledgeable guide. From the history, to the one off questions, he has the answers. Truthful ones that he has researched and not made up. + Full round trip transportation on a small air conditioned shuttle van to and from downtown Savannah hotels. You let him know where you want picked up/ dropped off, and he will get you there + The extras - Forgot to grab a bottle of water, bug spray, or umbrella? He has that. Seriously use the bug spray! I can't recommend this tour enough if you are wanting to explore Bonaventure Cemetery. It is well worth the 2 + hours *I would recommend booking online or calling for reservations as the tour size is extremely small. The van can only seat 12 read more

Certainly you can visit the Bonaventure cemetery on your own. During our travels, however, we have always found that a guide adds tremendously to our enjoyment. This is certainly the case with Dash Tours. Tim, our guide and owner of the company, did a great job. He was a history major, and his family have been residents of Savannah for many generations. He was able to give background and historical perspective to the cemetery and those buried there. His company is also one of the few companies that have pick up and drop off service at your hotel or other convenient location. Highly recommended. read more

We took the Bonaventure Dash Tour back in March while we were visiting Savannah for our honeymoon. We had visited Bonaventure on our own the day before, but, didn't really know what to look for or any of the history. This tour was recommended by the staff at the Kehoe House and by several of the other guests we talked to. Tim was amazing. He has very professional and respectful of the burial plots. He has definitely done a ton of research and does a great job presenting the facts. We were there while the azaleas were blooming, so, that just enhanced the amazing views of the massive trees and spanish moss hanging. Will definitely want to take this tour again on our next trip to Savannah. read more

There are several Bonaventure Cemetery tours to choose from but this is the best. Timothy is from a long line of Savanna residents with a strong knowledge of the area and passion for the history. Our tour through the cemetery hit all the highlights and gave a great overview of significant people and events in Savannah since the 1700's. read more

Tim is fabulous and very knowledgeable! We had a great tour of a stunning cemetery full of history! Would highly recommend if in Savannah!

This tour usually picks you up and transports you to Bonaventure. They don't start in all the same spots as other tours, and because of that, you get right into the juicy and best parts of the cemetery. My girlfriend and I heard about this tour last minute, so when we called day of, Tim was more than happy to include us, despite an already full group. We just met him there, which worked for us since we were staying outside of Savannah anyways. The tour itself was very informative! Tim certainly knew a lot and was great at answering any questions. It was neat to hear the history, note some of the more special graves, and hear about the connections to Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. All in all, if you want to check out Bonaventure Cemetery, check Tim out. It's worth it! We wouldn't have had the full impact of Bonaventure without all the information Tim shared. read more

Good tour. Tim advised us of all the myths and untruths about the cemetary and it's occupants. very informative. we were picked up at our vacation rental. It was a little buggy out but that can't really be helped. read more

My husband and I loved this tour! Tim is very knowledgeable and a Savannah native who knows how to create a unique tour experience. Everyone provides their hotel addresses and Tim picks up everyone on his coach before going to Bonaventure Cemetery--which is such a nice touch! Tim offered us cold water right before the start of the tour and we spent a couple of hours learning about some of the most influential people buried within the cemetery. We loved Tim's sense of humor in addition to his wealth of knowledge about the cemetery. All in all, we had the best time and will recommend this tour to our friends! read more

My mom and I were visiting Savannah on Halloween weekend and decided we might as well check out the cemetery while we were there. We spent the day at Tybee Island and figured we would try and get a tour on our way back. I called Dash tours and the gentleman was super friendly and nice and told me we could just meet him at the cemetery instead of driving back to Savannah and catching the bus. This saved us all time and driving! It was great. The tour itself was really informative and interesting. I had no idea what to expect with this tour because I didn't know what all was in the tour. I learned so much about the city and people and cemeteries in general. This was a great tour and I recommend it to anyone! read more

Excellent tour. Tim was very knowledgeable, answered all questions and made our experience at bonaventure quite enjoyable. Highly recommend

Tim was an amazing tour guide! He was so knowledgeable & answered every question in detail. Plus he made the tour fun too, but wasn't in a joking way, he was professional and very respectful of the graves and families of the buried but was still doing it in a manner that was strict. Highly recommended, this tour was at the top of our list of things we loved in Savannah. Plus he picks you up and drops you off anywhere you want!! read more

Best tour of our entire vacation! Tim was great - funny and informative! Probably the only tour I'd recommend (and we did a lot of them!)

Tim is the best tour guide! He has lived in Savannah all his life and there is nothing he doesn't know. He's a good guy and the four of us had a wonderful time on his tour. He picked us up at our Riverfront hotel, he had bottled water, bug spray, umbrellas....you didn't need to bring anything except yourself! I did my research prior to booking and Tim was by far the most impressive choice. Highly recommend. Don't use anyone else. You won't be sorry. read more

Dash Tours makes seeing Bonaventure so easy, and definitely a lot of fun. Tim picked us up from our hotel, and dropped us off at City Market for lunch. This alone had me sold, as a lot of other tour groups have you meet them at the cemetery, this was way more convenient. Tim was a lot of fun, and very knowledgeable, you can really tell he enjoys what he does. We would definitely recommend his tour to anyone wanting to take in the beauty and history of Bonaventure cemetery. read more

Bonaventure Cemetery was probably my favorite place that we visited in Savannah. We took a tour with Dash Tours. Our guide, Tim Rowell, owns the business and is a one man operation. He was so informative and engaging! In the unlikely event that he does not know the answer to your question, he will find out and follow up. It is obvious that Savannah history, particularly Bonaventure history, is close to his heart. Did I mention that he picks you up pretty much wherever you ask in downtown Savannah and brings you back too? We had beautiful weather and thoroughly enjoyed our time at Bonaventure. If you make it to Savannah, take 2-3 hours out of your day to do this, you will be glad you did! read more

Aside from being the only tour I found that drives around the historic district picking everyone up from their respective B&Bs and hotels with the Dash tour van (this is important because Bonaventure cemetery is not in walking distance and one would need to take a cab there and back or rent a car), the tour guides ( I had Orlando) are well researched. They cut through the endless folklore for a fact and history based tour. There are no ghost and death themes like with other tours. It was a pleasant walking tour full of relevant information and lesser know facts that one would not get on other tours. Orlando was very careful about respecting the cemetery and ongoing burial services (There were some loud tours). This is the perfect way to see Bonaventure cemetery. read more
