It was our last night in Savannah and we were looking for something memorable to do as a family. We are so glad we opted for the Haunted Savannah Tour. Our tour guide, Ron, made the experience very interactive, the whole group (even our tween girl, who has the attention span of any kid her age that grew up with a phone attached to their hand at all times) was very engaged with his stories, they were scary but somehow he made us laugh while listening to him. During our tour we got caught in a bad thunderstorm, Ron checked to see if we were willing to continue (we lost a third of the group) and for those of us who staid, he found shelter and told us about his personal experience while he was getting drench by the rain. We really like how easy we were able to book our tour, Ron was waiting for us at the meeting place and we embarked on our ghostly adventure without a hitch. read more

My girlfriends and I took the Spirits and Scoundrels Tour with Dennis. It was absolutely pouring down rain for the entire tour (but that should set the ambiance for a ghost tour, right?) Dennis is knowledgeable, and I especially enjoyed the part about Jim Williams's home and learning some new things. (I had no idea this home once belonged to the Shriners!) This tour was not super creepy, although some of the stories centered around really creepy places (Sorrel-Weed House, 432 Abercorn, etc.) I had taken another ghost tour the next night with another friend, and the tone was completely different. This was not better or worse- just a different "feel". And each tour went to two completely different sets of places with just a teeny bit of overlap, so I appreciate that there is SO much to tell in this city, that each tour is unique and the information on each one is exclusive. It was interesting bumping into other tours along the way like "The tour guide formerly known as Prince". Dennis kept a nice pace, and I really liked it. Poor guy was doing double duty, because someone else had to call off last minute. But that didn't make an impact on his energy and enthusiasm, rain et al. read more

We did the Spirits and Scoundrels Adults Only Savannah Ghost Tour. Cat was our guide, and she was great! She knew lots of history about the area and had a great sense of humor! This tour had some chilling tales and we enjoyed that after some of the stories we had a few minutes to explore the outside of the houses and make pictures. We took the spirits and scoundrels 10pm tour and it was most definitely worth it! Not only did we love the fact that it is dog friendly, but everything was so interesting. Our tour guide, Brenna, was informative and very funny, as tried to lighten the mood as she described some of the heinous acts discussed during the tour. We would absolutely take another tour if we come back to Savannah! read more

We were 10 minutes late to our 90 min tour (our bad). We hoped to catch our tour at the second stop or thought they would still be telling the first story in Lafeyette. We called the office and were told they had no idea what order guides did the stops so we couldnt head towards our groups direction, would not call our guide to see where he was, and refused to refund our money. They were so unwilling to help us join the group. At 8:10! If you are visiting like we were and cant be 1000% sure you will be on time, take one of the many more considerate tours. Other guides were taking head counts and calling those who were late to see if they needed directions. We opted to for a $4 app that provided a walking route to the most haunted locations and gave great descriptions of the history and scary stories. A much better night at our own pace! read more

My girlfriend and I booked this tour based on the description on their website. So glad we did!!! Our tour guide, Brenna, was excellent and explained everything in amazing detail. The most awesome part was, undoubtedly, when my girlfriend and I reviewed the pics we had taken of all of the haunted houses. When we got back to our room, my girlfriend spotted on one of her pics a figure looking out of the Sorrel-Weed House. Upon closer inspection, we both came to the conclusion that it was definitely a figure of a man. We sent the pic to the staff of Haunted Savannah Tours and they confirmed our suspensions and actually sent us a pic of whom they thought it was...Francis Sorrel himself!!! My wife and I were on our anniversary in Savannah and want to take a tour. We wanted a ghost tour that was going to entertain and not be boring and we were not disappointed with this tour. The price was $30 dollar a person at first I thought it was kind of steep but after the tour I thought it was worth it. It started at 10 pm and Jason was our guide. He was very knowledgeable and had a cool accent. I don't scary easy at all but one of the house we went to after he told the story I had goose bumps. He brought an tablet with videos and pictures from the places we visit, which I thought really added to the experience. This a walking tour so be prepared. I would suggest this to anyone that would like a great tour of down town Savannah and cool history and some shocking of the events that went on there in the 1800-1900. read more

Nice historical overview with some ghosts along for the walk. Kelley was knowledgeable about the area, houses and hauntings. Definitely got a little bit creepy in the dark! She made the sightings believable with a combo of storytelling and pictures on her iPad. Better than the trolley based tours since we got a good 'feel' for each stop. read more

My sister-in-law and I did this $30 tour on a Friday night. I believe it started around 10 p.m.. Our guide took us to 4 places in 2 hours. Overall, we were not impressed and she and I snuck away before he offered to take everyone to one last place. The problem was that he talked WAY too long at each place. I have been to way better tours....more locations and less standing around in one place while the tour guide tells endless stories. read more

Was concerned at first because they called for cancel the tour the night I had booked due to tour guide being sick. It was easy to reschedule as we were going to be here a second night. The tour seemed a little boring at first because you aren't sure what to expect. After we started walking we got really into it! I can't believe how fast the time went! We had a great time on our 8pm tour last night. I unfortunately cannot remember our tour guide's name. It began with a "D" if I believe? We really enjoyed it. It was more about the deaths and executions that occurred hundreds of years ago, rather than about "ghosts". However, we were taken to different locations that have been known to have "activity". Our guide showed us different pictures from previous tourists that clearly had a ghostly figure in the picture. He showed us a couple of videos as well. Very interesting! So much history. Was pretty impressed with our guide. He did an excellent job. read more

This was so much fun! (We went on the 18+ tour) Our tour guide was punctual, friendly and entertaining. I really enjoyed the fact that he went in depth at each spot and built up the spookiness. By the third stop I wouldn't let go of my sisters arm, haha. This tour left me creeped out even after I made it back to the hotel. I highly recommend it (my friends chose another tour and were bored after awhile), savannah is a whole new creepy city at night. I really wish I caught our guides name, he was the one with the best accent. read more

It was okay. We ended up standing around and talking more than walking. I think we saw 5 places. Some of it was campy, but you have to expect that with ghost tours. It was definitely the first time I've heard a British Swamp accent (the tour guide). It was nice to be out after dark and feel safe enough walking around though, you wouldn't catch us out that late in New Orleans. read more

We were staying in Tybee Island and decided to do this tour. When I first booked, I asked how far it was from Tybee. I was told "about 20 minutes". When it was time to leave for the tour we pulled out 30 minutes before hand to get there early, I put the address in GPS and it stated 40 minutes! We were expecting to be about 10 minutes late so we called the number listed on the booking confirmation that stated "Call if you are running late". They said they'll start promptly at 8 but if we get there 10-15 minutes late they should still be there or straight ahead at the next square. There were 11 of us in 2 cars and we sped to get there. We made it, parked and we were in the 1st stop at 8:11 and jogged to get to the second stop. There was no tour group. We called again and asked if there was any hope to catch up. They said yes and gave us additional instructions including who to look for, which square would be next, etc. We walked further and further. We called one last time and the person told us they don't always take the same course so they weren't sure where they would be! I was frustrated the time estimate I was given was wrong, but if I was late with no hope of making it I could have accepted that and gone back to enjoying our vacation time. Instead I was instructed it would be fine, then led on a wild goose chase for a group of people through Savannah and that was beyond frustrating, a waste of time, and we almost got lost. Again, totally understand you should be on time for this stuff, but I went on their estimate and they made it sound like we would still have time. Knowing when I initially called stating we'd be about 10 minutes late that it would be too late, it would have saved 40 minutes of driving there, 20 minutes of walking around and another 40 minutes back to our vacation rental. read more

Had the tour with Kelley yesterday. The tour group was way too large. The tour was beyond boring, people kept sneaking away and we finally did too. We spent way too much time just standing there talking. Each place we stood and she just told like 10 tales but it just wasn't very engaging or interesting. My husband and I LOVE ghost stories and LOVE history but it just wasn't very engaging. read more
