Went to see the rave from TikTok and Instagram. I WILL say don't believe the hype of growing content creators. Anything to get like and views 2 friends and I showed up late to our 7pm reservation which they were very kind about. You only get 2 hrs at the table so we only had 1.5 hrs. No problem because we were gone after an hour. The drinks are very strong but lacks genuine flavor so that's a 7/10 for me. The food is received sporadically so everyone doesn't get their meals at the same time. This is where the problem comes in. Our order consistent of : 2 hibachis (shrimp and chicken) , 2 sushi rolls and 1 appetizer. They received their meals, and I was told by server mine would be out shortly (no problem for me ). But, My food never came, and my patience was thin especially considering the drink is strong. My friend chicken hibachi had shrimp in it, (thank God he didn't have an allergy) so why did I not have my food (shrimp hibachi) ? The server never came back to the table to check on our meals, if there were any additional wants nor if i ever received it. The server came back after 20-25 mins and I let her know to just take the hibachi off the bill because at this point the entire table is done eating their food. Her response ???? "Ok I'll just cancel it Can I give you a glass of champagne?! " - How can you cancel a meal so easily if it's been on the way for the past 25 mins ? The manager never came over to rectify the situation or speak to us. Realistically I declined the free offer because , Why would I want more alcohol on an empty stomach ??? There is an automatic 18% gratuity on the bill, and that's crazy considering the service is not attentive. Anyways, I don't expect this place to be open long once the hype dies down. read more

We went to SAVÚ here in clt. I'd give them a 7.5. Vibes were very nice but the food was slightly under seasoned and I was not the biggest fan of my drink. The menu stated that some items were for the late night menu, but we saw that it was being served any way. We went at 6pm we will have to come back to see what the late night menu has to offer if their times are accurate. That's 11pm-1:30am. A better communication/ explanation about the whole menu would've been appreciated. Presentation was very nice though, our server GiGi was amazing. We will be back to try more dishes!! read more

Savu is a whole vibe! It was everything that I was hoping for in charlotte, bringing that Miami feel here. The food and drinks were 10/10 and our server was very attentive and sweet. At 10pm it shifts to more of a vibe dining atmosphere with a DJ. This will definitely be my new spot! read more

Went to Savú for a date night Friday without realizing it was their grand opening. This place is a must see for anyone coming to uptown! The service was amazing, our waitress was very attentive and explained the menu and gave us her recommendations. We got a few cocktails, a sushi appetizer and the lobster tail lo mein. Everything was delicious but the star of the night was their fire shots! Passion fruit, tequila, and lime accompanied by a table side show with fire & cinnamon! Definitely a must try! read more

Worst experience I've ever had in charlotte NC uptown. The girls inside dancing with the fire are dressed horribly but they wouldn't let me in in an outfit of the same caliber. This place is a joke I saw you let a woman in wearing air Jordan sneakers with black leggings and a black t shirt and another woman wearing a bra with her whole breast out. All the restaurants in charlotte and they think they are exclusive ? They only cater to black people. Don't waste your money on this place ever, the city has so many better places that treat people who spend money accordingly. I pay over $300 easily for a nice dinner for two people in charlotte almost every weekend this place will never get my business. No class at all complete trash!! Once a sport bar now an elegant fine dining restaurant. I dined for my birthday dinner and was very satisfied with the experience. The decor and service is 10/10. The drinks were prepared very well but the food was less to a what I expected. The wings, fries and Asian Caesar were absolutely delicious but the steak was overcooked and under seasoned. The salmon was very very good but the shrimp hibachi missed the mark. The rice was slightly crunchy and the dish was a little sweeter than I'd prefer. The firecracker shrimp were also delicious. I would probably recommend appetizers over dishes but hopefully our experience was a one off. Besides that the staff and atmosphere was amazing. read more

Last night, October 17th at 7 PM, I had dinner at Savu Charlotte with three of my girlfriends, and the experience was frustrating from the start. We were seated quickly and placed our orders: two friends ordered sushi, one ordered lo mein, and I ordered the New York strip steak cooked medium rare with a side of broccolini. The first red flag came when the lo mein arrived before anything else. Shortly after, my broccolini came out -- but it was completely overcooked, limp, and had a yellowish-green color. I immediately let our waitress know, and she offered to take it back to the kitchen to have it redone. Then one of the sushi dishes arrived. When the broccolini came back, it looked exactly the same -- as if it had just been reheated rather than properly remade. Still, I hadn't received my steak. I asked the waitress, and she told me it would be out shortly. A while later, she returned and asked me which steak I had ordered -- a concerning sign, since all of our orders were placed at the same time. I told her again that I had ordered the New York strip. Eventually, another server came out with a tomahawk steak, medium rare, and asked if it was mine. I said no -- I had ordered a New York strip, not a tomahawk. Around that time, my third friend received her salmon. At this point, two of my friends were already done eating, one had just started, and I still had no food in front of me. I flagged down the male server who had brought the tomahawk and asked about my steak. He responded, "You didn't want it, so we took it back." That made no sense -- I never declined the steak I ordered, only the wrong one they brought out by mistake. His dismissive tone and attitude made the situation even more frustrating. After waiting an hour for a medium rare New York strip steak, I walked over to the waitress, who was speaking to her manager, and told her to cancel my order. She apologized and admitted that she had accidentally entered a tomahawk steak instead of the New York strip. She told me the manager had to go to the head manager to get approval to cancel the entire order -- both the steak and the broccolini -- since neither had been served correctly. When I sat back down, the waitress returned and confirmed that my full meal would be comped. Shortly after, the head manager came over and offered to still give me the New York strip steak, on the house, since it had already been cooked. I agreed and asked that it be packed to-go, since we were getting ready to leave. However, the steak was brought out on a plate instead. I had to ask another server for a to-go box and packed it myself. As we were walking out, another server came over with a second New York strip steak -- now there were two steaks and clear miscommunication between staff. Then our original waitress approached us as we were leaving and let me know that although the meal was comped, I still needed to pay for my alcoholic beverage. That would've been fine, but I was disappointed to see that gratuity was already included -- even though the service was completely unsatisfactory. By the time we left, all of my friends had eaten and finished their meals, while I left still hungry. The entire evening was marked by long waits, multiple mistakes, poor communication between staff, and a lack of accountability until the very end. I won't be returning. read more

I had a very unsettling experience at this restaurant. We were greeted by a manager by the name of John when we walked in. I felt a very hostile and almost aggressive energy from him when coming in. Despite us having a reservation he still instructed us to wait on the side while he found seating for us. A minute later a Caucasian couple walked in and he greeted them warmly with a smile. They stated that they were a walk in and had no reservation. The manager seated them promptly. We were blatantly ignored by him for twenty minutes and when he finally sat us down he had no menus for us. Our server was great and very hospitable. The food was just alright- nothing special. Upon leaving we ran into the same manager out front- he was vaping which I thought was unprofessional. I tried to speak to him and express my disappointment with his attitude towards us. He dismissed my grievances and stated that they were very busy and he didn't have time to talk. I will not be returning here- the management is discriminatory, unwelcoming, and extremely unprofessional. read more

Ambience is great, if you're a single man going on a Friday or Saturday is being a kid in a candy store. Beautiful well dressed ladies and nice environment. The Japanese woman with the fan that dances is a great added touch. Looks great on both floors and the patio. craft drinks are done well and very good. Whether it is a mocktail or a cocktail they all work. The food can be iffy. The chicken hibachi is trashcan water. The rice was burnt, returned it, and it was still burned. The chicken was completely pale, white and unseasoned and hard to chew. The Caesar salad is good, 7/10. The salmon is good, 7/10. The sushi is done very well, eight or 9/10. Broccolini was OK. This is not a restaurant to get full off of, rather it's to have drinks, hookah and small plate meals. expect to spend between $80-$130 per person if not more depending on your total drinks, etc. for the evening. Also, there is a 20% automatic gratuity on the bill which I'm not a fan of, but it is what it is. Overall, I would give a 9/10 for concept and enjoyability. I give it a solid 7 for food. I give it a 9 on the drinks, only drawback is you're gonna spend on the high side. I went two nights in a row so it is worth going to for a good time with friends or a date. read more
