In short, they have anything you could ever possibly want from a toy store. Or at least, everything I look for in a toy store. Cutest gift shop! This place is the perfect way to end your day after exploring the gorgeous grounds of Sausalito. The entire city is full of hidden gems, and this store is no exception. My husband brought me here after previously having visited during a business trip, and when I walked in, I could tell immediately why he loved it so much. The shop is full of the "neatest" and quirkiest gifts. I think a lot of them are Japanese/Asian inspired or are simply imported from Asia. Everything from key chains, phone charms, stationary, mugs, magnets, random gadgets, etc. - you name it, they will have it. You can find truly unique and fun gifts in here for everyone. This place a ridiculous selection of the cutest little figurines and knickknacks. You can buy the world's tiniest ducky there! They also have lots of novelty shirts and toys featuring Paul Frank and Gama-Go. They have so many bobbleheads up on the shelf including all the Star Wars characters and even Megatron and Bumblebee Transformers! Are you looking for every smurf imaginable? They have them here too. If you love Hello Kitty and Totoro, they have cute little keychains and tiny figurines. I spent a good half hour just browsing and giggling like a little girl. I replaced my smallest duck in the world this week! I bought one a few years ago and lost it in the move from Vegas. I was so happy to get a new one. It's resting on top of my mantle which is probably where I left it before I moved. I could spend all day in this store. I love it! The cards are really funny and you really could just stand there all day and giggle to yourself reading them. If you want a silly/unique card you can definitely find one here. They have a huge collection of Japanese erasers which are cute but I had to stop myself from starting a collection. There are just so many toys and knick knacks you can find here. A great place to find gifts for everyone. The employees are super friendly and definitely let you know they are there if ya need them. You have to come here whenever you're in Sausalito! read more

I finally got around to coming back for another visit yesterday evening and the service was much better; we were actually greeted and the employees were pretty attentive compared to last time. This place opened years ago, and belive me, years ago it was way ahead of it's time. When it comes to out of sight merchandise, which includes, candy, cards, and toys, this place has it all, and a lot of it. I do shopping for Christmas, birthdays, or just because as much as I can. When I was younger and had less kids it was easier to go there. Now unfortunately I can't get there as much, but when I go I bring the kids and they love the place! If you are in, or around Sausalito make sure you checke this place out, it will be hard for you to leave there, and I can guarantee you will most likely buy something. I ride with groups many times a week and the views are always world class. Deck hands are occasionally as salty as the bay but many are cool. They occasionally bring out the old boat which is a pile of dung. Avoid that if cruising for pleasure. read more

My 6 yr. old is into those Japanese erasers that are the new fad. I grew up in the 80's & I use to collect similar erasers, so even though the little buggers are a buck a pop, I don't care. I was planning to have the easter bunny hide them for her to find in her eggs Easter morning, but had a hard time finding a variety of them locally. So, I went online to find them, and was going to buy directly through IWAKO.com, when I found Sausolito Ferry. Turns out they are only 40 minutes away, but still ordered through their online store. Place my order this past Weds. night/Thursday morning well after midnight, got confirmation & tracking number by 10 am Thursday and it as at my doorstep when I arrived home from work TONIGHT (FRIDAY). I AM SOOOOO THRILLED with their prompt service, that I plan to become a regular customer, not to mention they threw in a cute little extra trinket too. Sausalito Ferry Company is pretty much the only reason why I go to Sausalito and the highlight of the trip there. It's located in a really popular area and there are always people in there in awe of the cool toys. The toys are unique and they are super cute! They have a fantastic selection of Funko Pops. If you don't see it in regular stores, most likely you'll find it there. If you're a Starwars fan, they also carry a lot of unique starwars items. If you're in the area, it's a great store to stop by, buy gifts, and speak to the friendly staff. After many years of going to Sausalito Ferry Company, today I finally met the owner, Ken. He was a joy to speak to and so knowledgeable about all the toys in the store and soooooo friendly. It made my experience there that much more meaningful. Wonderful guy who owns a wonderful store. Can't get better than that. People have talked about the store being a bit pricey, but if you think about it, they have hard to find items, unique toys and collectables from Japan, and it's in a really expensive area. For those and more, it is really not all that expensive. read more

THE cutest gift store in Sausalito. If you like nerdy, geeky, silly bobbles and gifts, this is THE place for you. My husband proposed to me on Sausalito and afterwards we found two totoro's here that fit the occasion (one looked ecstatic as though he'd just achieved something great, and the other looked giddy with excitement and butterflies). When we came back a year and a half later, we found more totoros to buy. This may become a tradition. They have just about every Funko POP vinyl toy here too. From Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (full set, including Splinter and Shredder!) to Supernatural, Marvel, etc., there's something for everyone. There's also walls full of kooky cards and really awesome iPhone covers. I ended up getting a few totoros and a solar powered Japanese cat that continuously bobs its head as a gift to a friend who loves kawaii shit. There's also tons of 99 cent mini-figurines and a nice selection of interesting/gag gift candies/gums. Come here to get a good chuckle and a good gift! read more

The buyers for this store never met a tchotchke they didn't like. Apparently every gizmo, gadget, and novelty item ever granted a patent occupies a spot in the shop, which is overflowing with merchandise ranging from the sublimely ridiculous to the surprisingly sublime. Absolutely none of it qualifies as a necessity, and friends and I have managed to waste two solid hours here gleefully sorting through it all, trying to find the oddest, the funniest, and the campiest of the lot. It's a treasure trove of gag gifts for any occasion. A word of warning to parents: bring your children here, and they will want everything. More than once I've seen a frustrated father, his patience sorely tested, drag a screaming youngster begging for 'just one more' out into the street. It's an embarassing scene, as I well know . . . the last time she was in town, my own mother threatened to take the ferry back to the city without me if I didn't leave right that minute. read more

I am writing mainly as a supplier but occasionally as a customer. This store carries incredibly unique items and my kids are always thrilled when they are allowed to pick an item. The owner, Ken, has been a customer of my t-shirt business for the last few years, and he is the best customer that I have - very considerate and thoughtful! He treats his employees as well as his suppliers, given that most of them have been there for years! this is by far the best toy store i have ever been in my entire life. so many little items i want that are so afforadable. where else can i go to buy a toy that only cost $0.12? on the front counter there are all sorts of miniture figurines that i would love to own all of wich is under $1. toys all over the walls and counters! i could visit this place everyday and still have fun wow. read more

Have always wanted to stop and browse but tend to shy away from tourist traps and Sausalito certainly qualifies there. Finally I dropped in after seeing the Tin Tin window display (my kids have flipped over the little guy). Anyway I was not disappointed. First, and most surprisingly I found inexpensive metered parking with ease only steps from the door (I had to go back out to drop another quarter as I was so enjoying my visit. Next an exceptionally friendly and helpful salesman who discussed some Star Wars items with me ( I wouldn't know a Wookie from a wombat or Yoda from a yogi). I ended up purchasing three gifts including a Tin Tin tin and an amazing replica of a camera zoom lense that many of my photographer friends, who actually own the same lense and couldn't tell the difference until I dropped it, picked it up and unscrewed the lense cap to reveal a quite clever coffee cup. No the store wasn't cheap but consider the rent and then go try to find another store equally as fun (Two Neat in Mill Valley doesn't come close) and many of the items were good for plenty of laughs (you can't put a price on that). So, yes, much of what you see might look like junk but to others they are props for a light moment or two and that is something we all need. So go check this place out. You might want to leave your kids at home as they will want everything so make it easy on yourself and take the opportunity to browse, I dare you not to have a laugh or two. read more
