Unfortunately they are no…read morelonger doing $1 tacos but now $1.50 which isn't terrible but comparable to other places now so you're no longer getting a huge taco tuesday deal. If you don't see them by 7/11, they are located on lomita between normandie and marigold. They are very efficient of how things are ran- you order, get a ticket number, get your sauces, then wait for your number to be called. It's pretty clear on where to start and go, unlike some places where there's no indication of where the line starts or who takes your order. They make fresh tortillas, the quality and flavor of the meat is great, and they don't skimp on the portion size. My recent visit, they are no longer taking zelle but still accept apple pay, venmo, and cash. They get pretty busy in their early hours and can run out of ingredients if you go past 9, so pick go accordingly lol

Ok just to be clear, this is Tacos el banquetazo. Saw this place on social media. The location says…read more1219 Lomita blvd which is in front of a 7 eleven which is where I went. They were parked in front but not set up yet. This was at 6 pm so I waited only to see them drive off. What the hell? I called the number on Yelp and the guy kept telling me they were there even though I told him I was standing in the spot and they were not. I hung up and then I got a text saying they were at 25000 normandie Ave which was the opposite corner a little up the street in front of a church. I drove up and parked around the corner. They had to set up so they got a late start, like a little after 7. There was already a line. Parking was starting to get ridiculous because there was no lot nearby. Once they opened up, they were very efficient and streamlined. I ordered asada tacos and asada burritos with green salsa. Unfortunately, they didn't have cilantro by itself. It was an onion and cilantro mix. No biggie though. To sum it up, the tacos were just ok. If you're local to harbor city, then yeah hit em up. If you live far, I'm sure there's taco stands that are closer to you that are just as good. The green salsa was kinda bland so maybe the red would be better. All in all, social media hypes places up.

"Why don't we try the one close to 182nd? I think is called Tacos de Canasta?" Hubbers said…read more On the hunt to add on to our taco stand list, Tacos de Canasta was next. But we found Tacos El Pecas instead. (No signs of Tacos de Canasta anywhere.) We weren't disappointed or anything. If anything, I was even more delighted because I saw something on the list I've never heard of: suadero. So I asked Hubbers what it is. He wasn't sure either and since their staff overheard it, they went ahead and explained. (Beef, middle part of the cow between the sirloin and the flank.) Then I thought, "Okay, but I've never had it..." And while I was thinking, they went ahead and gave me a sample (see attached pic.) It was delicious! I wanted to try it as a taco! Along with a carne asada, chorizo and tripa. Hubbers had his usual al pastor. I wasn't a fan of their asada. I thought it was a bit dry, but everything else was fantastic. Who knew there was another beef choice, and yes, the suadero was something different but delicious. The tripa wasn't very gamey and the chorizo was tasty. I also love that they offered grilled onions and peppers at no additional cost and they helped us pack up a few sides and sauces. FOOD: 4.5. SERVICE: 5. As busy as they were, they were the most interactive and friendly compared to all the recent taco vendors we've hit. VALUE: 5. Worth it! PARKING: Street only since they're a street vendor. OVERALL: 4.75. So, yes, I will admit we came out looking for another vendor, but we're glad we found them instead. Makes me wonder if they do a schedule rotation of sorts, maybe... ? I plan on coming through again and give their carne asada another shot. Looking forward to that next stop!
