If you don't see them by 7/11, they are located on lomita between normandie and marigold. They are very efficient of how things are ran- you order, get a ticket number, get your sauces, then wait for your number to be called. It's pretty clear on where to start and go, unlike some places where there's no indication of where the line starts or who takes your order. They make fresh tortillas, the quality and flavor of the meat is great, and they don't skimp on the portion size. My recent visit, they are no longer taking zelle but still accept apple pay, venmo, and cash. They get pretty busy in their early hours and can run out of ingredients if you go past 9, so pick go accordingly lol

They were parked in front but not set up yet. This was at 6 pm so I waited only to see them drive off. What the hell? I called the number on Yelp and the guy kept telling me they were there even though I told him I was standing in the spot and they were not. I hung up and then I got a text saying they were at 25000 normandie Ave which was the opposite corner a little up the street in front of a church. I drove up and parked around the corner. They had to set up so they got a late start, like a little after 7. There was already a line. Parking was starting to get ridiculous because there was no lot nearby. Once they opened up, they were very efficient and streamlined. I ordered asada tacos and asada burritos with green salsa. Unfortunately, they didn't have cilantro by itself. It was an onion and cilantro mix. No biggie though. To sum it up, the tacos were just ok. If you're local to harbor city, then yeah hit em up. If you live far, I'm sure there's taco stands that are closer to you that are just as good. The green salsa was kinda bland so maybe the red would be better. All in all, social media hypes places up.

Sad! Sad! SAD! I…read morehate writing bad reviews. It makes me sad. What saddens me even more is when I pay top dollar for a sad, pathetic sweet treat! Random Treats truck is sad excuse for a gourmet food truck. I ran into this sad truck at the First Friday food truck event in Venice beach. This truck features exactly what it says it does, random treats. They had gourmet rice krispy treats, sweet potato fires, a deep fried PB&J sandwich, some savory sandwich (grilled cheese I think), a few boxes of Nerds and some beverages. Very odd and random menu indeed. However, their large menu of gourmet rice krispies caught my eye. They had about ten of them on their menu but when I went to order, they only had four flavors available. That pissed me off. How can you show up to such a big event (over 40 food trucks and hundreds of people) and not have your full menu available. They hadn't even been open half an hour so it's not like they were sold out. They were just under stocked. They didn't have any of the flavors I wanted but my wife and I didn't want to leave empty handed. In the end we bought two of their gourmet krispies, one red velvet and one strawberry shortcake. At $5 bucks a piece I was praying that they would be the best rice krispy treats I'd ever eat. Nope. Both krispies were stale. They tasted like they were a few days old. The toppings on the strawberry shortcake weren't bad. The strawberry compote and pieces of strawberry helped hide the fact that the krispy itself was stale and tasteless. The red velvet krispy was horrendous. Stale krispy, sour tasting cream cheese frosting and red velvet cake that tasted like food coloring. AWFUL! The women on the truck were nice but it took almost ten minutes to get our treats....and we were their only customers. What in the world took so long? I know they weren't making these treats to order. SAD. I'm flabbergasted. How this truck is even in business blows my mind.

Although they did have a small selection of savory sandwiches - makes me think how long it would be for one though. Best advice, try the truck when you're not quite so hungry.

But we found Tacos El Pecas instead. (No signs of Tacos de Canasta anywhere.) We weren't disappointed or anything. If anything, I was even more delighted because I saw something on the list I've never heard of: suadero. So I asked Hubbers what it is. He wasn't sure either and since their staff overheard it, they went ahead and explained. (Beef, middle part of the cow between the sirloin and the flank.) Then I thought, "Okay, but I've never had it..." And while I was thinking, they went ahead and gave me a sample (see attached pic.) It was delicious! I wanted to try it as a taco! Along with a carne asada, chorizo and tripa. Hubbers had his usual al pastor. I wasn't a fan of their asada. I thought it was a bit dry, but everything else was fantastic. Who knew there was another beef choice, and yes, the suadero was something different but delicious. The tripa wasn't very gamey and the chorizo was tasty. I also love that they offered grilled onions and peppers at no additional cost and they helped us pack up a few sides and sauces. FOOD: 4.5. SERVICE: 5. As busy as they were, they were the most interactive and friendly compared to all the recent taco vendors we've hit. VALUE: 5. Worth it! PARKING: Street only since they're a street vendor. OVERALL: 4.75. So, yes, I will admit we came out looking for another vendor, but we're glad we found them instead. Makes me wonder if they do a schedule rotation of sorts, maybe... ? I plan on coming through again and give their carne asada another shot. Looking forward to that next stop!

Found this gem of a taco spot that is just as good as the best I've had anywhere I've had in Southern California. They're usually open late, the portions are pretty darn large, and the prices are more than reasonable. They have a great assortment of toppings and salsas and make their tortillas fresh. This place pretty much checks all the important boxes for me personally when it comes to taco spots I love. I came here late at night and the line wasn't too crazy. Not as lively as more popular spots I've been to, but there were a few people in line. You do get the vibe that this spot is a favorite among locals. I ordered a vampiro (crunchier tortilla with a layer of caramelized cheese that holds the meat and toppings) with asada and two al pastor tacos. Usually, I can eat that easily, but with the portions here, it was a bit of a chore. The smoky flavors and fresh toppings and salsa were all on point. The horchata I got to wash everything down was also very good. A true gem of a spot in the Inland Empire.

Located at RFK High School in Koreatown LA, this location was central and provided lots of space for food stands, food trucks, games, merch stands, drink stands, music stage, you name it. They even had a (huge) sneaker expo stand! I did not see any performers on the music stage, but they posted some content online and it looks like they killed it! Minzy from 2NE1 headlined the first night. I did not have a chance to see everything as I was with a group of people (takes longer to do virtually everything), but there was so much to see! The food I did try: Xing Fu Tang strawberry boba, yakitori yado mochi chicken skewer, kimchi rice ball, pork belly rice ball, thai basil chicken. Everything was good. It was busy! Get there early as by 7:30pm or so it was wall to wall people (some wearing masks, some not as they were recommended only). Had a great time - they have rebooted this event so well!
