My sister and were visiting Youngstown and found this gem recently. Wow! I mean it when I say we were both blown away with how delicious and beautiful the food was. Johnny, the owner was such a nice guy who took the time to explain his homemade authentic recipies with us. He suggested to try the mixed grill and we were not disappointed. There were 2 types of chicken, beef, and lamb over a bed of seasoned rice. Several different veggies, salad, hummus, pitas and the most delicious baba I've ever tasted. The portions were huge! I took the rest with me and it easily was 2 full meals. We also had Johnny's homemade tea he made himself by drying his own herbs and black tea. It was freakin awesome, and ended by stuffing ourselves with a biscotti for desert- yum. A great gem to stumble on in Youngstown! Good luck Johnny! read more

The wrap I ordered was awesome, it was huge and with a drink it was under 9 bucks, extremely cheap. Best Mediterranean in the region. The gentleman working was the kindest, funniest, best worker who offered so much help and free samples. First he provided delicious Mediterranean chips and allowed us to sample 4-8 sauces ranging from medium to spicy sauce. There are two sizes of pita available; father and son, which are only $2 difference in price and a huge amount of food either way. I had the velvet chicken wrap with the house sauce and it was delicious. I also had the house hot tea which is their own delicious blend of honey lemon sweet hot tea that you must get! Tried this place for the first time today, I must say it was delicious. The owner was very friendly. When we walked in he introduced us to the menu and had us sample the homemade sauces he makes for his meals. He has spicy and mild and there wasn't one that I didn't like. I went with the heart blast (spicy) and my girlfriend went with the lime(mild) and my grandmother got the house special. We ordered two chicken wraps and the chicken shawarma plate. The plate was extremely satisfying and we had so much left over we took it Togo. The wraps were also great! I look forward to coming back! read more

I was coming from across town, and while I am very familiar with the area, I passed up the building because it has a different name out front. Other than that little mishap, the food was amazing!! Only go here if you want to be harrassed. When I ordered the pork off the menu, I was asked if I wanted it alive or dead. I could go home with a cute fuzzy living pig or I could eat some. I have been vegan for a very long time, but I was recently diagnosed with a serious illness that requires me to eat some meat. I struggled with this idea for a long time and only recently have I been able to eat some pre-cooked meats without incredible shame. You don't know why people have to eat the way they do. There are some pros, but there are some cons: Pros: 1. The spirit of the endeavor itself. Whoever has spawned this restaurant has done it with an admirable tenacity. Beautiful decor with apparently no expenses spared to make it appear professional, clean, modern and enticing. This is the right way to start a new business. 2. The food is GREAT. Fresh, tantalizing and savory. Broad selection, spot on prices. Cons: 1. I would have to admit that the service seemed a bit slow (there were no other customers when I was there). Yet, it's possible that my expectations on timeliness were greater than they should have been, which is probably due to the Subway-style setup, where it appears as though your food will be ready relatively quickly. That in mind, the wait was considerably longer than I was expecting. 2. VERY. LOUD. INTERIOR. It seems as though there was not much effort to hide the very loud fans and motors from the various coolers, etc. It permeated the entire atmosphere - which had little to no diffusion in it to deaden the sound (overhead diffusion panels, various plants, sound treatment, etc.). It made it difficult to converse with my friends. In summary, as long as you're expecting your food to take a while longer than usual to get to you, you will find that the wait is worth it.
